Is it wrong to have your best friend as the maid of honor when you and your sister are kind of close as well. Well, not that I feel bad or she does, but what do you think would be better.
FYI: She is having me be her maid of honor in her wedding.

Any ideas please? I have 3 little flower girls and 4 bridesmaids so I must find reasonable outfits. BHS have just finished their sale. Does anyone know when other stores such as Debenhams have sales which I could go to? Also, do Asda do a bridal range. They announced they were some time back, but cannot find anything on the websites?

Any help appreciated. Thanks

My boyfriend of 10yrs now, wants to get married next summer. We have 3 kids together a 3month old, 1 yr old and 5 yrs old. As stressful as that is, Ive been trying to pull away from the whole thing. I feel bad tho because I know he really wants it. Seeing so many ppl getting married, Ive seen how stressful it can be. Raising 3 kids is stressful enough. Can you help me with some advise on cheap and less stress wedding

I would love my fiances sister to be my bridesmaid and my two younger sisters...but I don't really want my cousin to be one. She's mega critical of EVERYTHING and before we were engaged she even critisised my choice of stationery.

She's my age and we've grown up together and it's kind of a given that she'd be my bridesmaid...to be fair, when we were getting on, I was like, 'you're obviously gonna be my bridesmaid'...but I just want sisters... :( Do I just grin and bear it or do I risk upsetting her? Could I ask her to be involved in something else instead of bridesmaid duties?

I have four bridesmaids, my two younger sisters, my cousin (21 yrs old, who's training to be a nurse at the moment so a student) and my fiance's sister (29 yrs old, who's just bought a new flat)

Bridesmaid dresses are £70 each.

I'm fully prepared to buy my sisters dresses as they're only 17 & 14 but do I have to buy the others dresses? I can't really afford it but could probably afford it more than my fiances sister!

What do I do!?

I have been feeling for 6 years now that my fiance's family completely hates everyone's significant other..they always say and talk a lot of sh*t about each others' wives behind their back, so naturally I suspect they do the same of me.
My fiance always hated me for thinking that, and he would get angry and deny it..but last night I finally found out VERY clearly that I was right..his brother told me that everyone hates all the wives and no matter what I do I just need to ignore it..
How can I have a child with him and know that they will always be like that.. It hurts too much, I have been crying all night..I don't know what to do-- we've been together for so long, and I love him.. but I am confused.

My fiancee always dictates the way I should act in front of his family because he wants me to be perfect in their eyes..but the truth is they will always find something bad to say and I know this now..this is completely devastating..

My fiance and I were doing our registry for the wedding, and at both places we registered, it was asked if we wanted to list gift cards as well on the list. Is this considered the same as asking for money? We are just curious if people would consider this just as rude as asking for money. thanks!

I am considering having the bridesmaid dresses be the "wine" colored (deep purple) and someone told me they are going to clash with the pumpkin centerpieces. The bridal party is not going to be sitting all at the same table.....so does it really matter?

Okay, here is the thing: me and my fiance have been graciously paying for the bills for the wedding and reception. We're not rich, and neither is our families, which will be taking up 90% of the guest list. We've paid for all the dresses, tuxs, etc. and everything ourselves. So for the rehearsal dinner, we are trying to save expenses. There will be 30 people attending the rehearsal dinner and we debated taking them out or just having food at the wedding hall. We think the later will be cheaper. So the next step is figuring out what to have. So we were MAYBE contemplating getting sandwiches from Subway and then preparing some side dishes to go along. Again, our family isn't rich so they aren't expecting anything TOO extravagent, but I don't want to be tacky either. Thanks for your input!

My partner and I are getting married in 4 weeks time. We were going to elope but decided to have a small private wedding with our best friends and parents. However my mother wished me to have an all out traditional wedding which is totally opposite to what we want. Ive repeatedly asked my mother to not tell people the ceremony location as we want it to be private and romantic. However she keeps telling her SOCIALITE friends. Ive even sat her down and said Please do not tell people where we will be as I dont want uninvited onlookers as we both dont like being the centre of attention as it is. We also asked her to respect our wishes (Im 32) and to just sit back and enjoy. Sadly every member of my family knows the location and my mother even told me who was going for a look after we repeatedly said not to. All I can see is an impending arguement on the day. I think shes embarassed we decided to have a wedding this way and not to her STANDARD. How do we get it across without heartache?

My fiance and I are getting married on August 23rd 2008. We want to go Vegas on the Wednesday before and get married on Saturday then spend the rest of the time there for a total of like 1 week and a half. Then when we come back have a BBQ reception. How does that sound?
