Where can I find cheap, single rings (man's gold band and a bit fancier ring/band for me) to put on our ringbearer pillow for our wedding? We don't want to use the real rings since the ringbearer is so young, and I've looked at Hobby Lobby and they don't really have anything, at least nothing single that isn't in a bag of like 100. Any suggestions on where to look?

....so, I am thinking I am going to get married within the next year and a half? And I have always thought about the "plans for my wedding....come on, what girl hasn't?? Anyway, I have always wanted a reception with no dinner, I wanted hors'd ovres (spelling) and cocktails with dancing and celebration....is that tacky? and what time would a wedding be for a reception with no dinner to allow the guests to have dinner BEFORE the wedding??? Any thoughts ? We have been discussing getting married, and I would rather have developed an opinion about this before we discuss any further......Serious answers only please.

I am getting ready to print my invitations, and I am going to affix a bow at the top. My question is should I try and poke two holes at the top and tie the bow on, or should I pre-tie the bow and fix it on with a drop of glue?

My fear is that if I glue it, it may come off, but if I poke little holes, they may be uneven, or tear.

My boyfriend and I were recently brainstorming things to engrave in our wedding bands that match our style, browsing on a site, some of the ones that he liked were:

"my noose"
"there, are you happy now?"

...you get the idea.

10 easy points to the deranged sicko that comes up with the most humorous idea. Just some additional info: He looooves world of warcraft, and I hate it when he plays...

obviously, anything latin is OUT, "today I marry my friend" and others of the same genre is OUT. our names and date is OUT.

and write as many rude comments to me as you like...you may just be forever memorialized on his wedding band.

One of my bridesmaids was asked me if she could bring her boyfriend to my wedding next year. I said of course, why wouldn't he be invited? Then she told me "Well if he is not here (he travels for work), I'll just bring Amy." This is her friend, who neither my fiance or I know. We had been planning on putting her name and her boyfriend's name on the invite. If he can't make it, does she have the right to tell me she's bringing a friend instead?

Aside from the fact that our guest list is already very large (220 people so far, including guests), her friend does not know anybody at the wedding except for the bridesmaid. She would be sitting with a table of strangers. The bridesmaid on the other hand knows everybody.

Is it common to want to bring somebody to a wedding just for the sake of bringing somebody?

I am getting married in the beginning of Spring on March 30, 2008. My colors are hot pink and orange. I am a little confused about what color my bridesmaids should where. I also might want to add that the ceremony and reception is in the early afternoon. I'm not sure about the table decor for the reception either, if any one can help let me know.
Thanks

my wedding is july 2008, outside, and probably in the evening (7ish) and i need help picking colors. my dress is white with red trim. i was thinking about going with red, white, and silver. a friend of mine suggested red, orange, and yellow. i am not crazy about the red, orange, yellow at all. as far as themes, i want it to be fun, playful, garden party-ish. what other colors would look good with red?

She will also be my maid of honor. The reason why I do not want him at my wedding is because I don't like him. I want my guests to be people who care about us being a couple.

I couldn't care less if I just did the bare minimum to qualify for marriage - i.e. a registry office. Personally i'm not religious, I don't go to Church, but i'd get married in Church just to appease my partner.

Should I have to pay anything at all? 20%? 50%?

I'm just ready to get the ceremony over with and move on to spending life together. Justice of the peace is NOT an option. Thank you for any help you can offer!!

My wedding dress is a very light material and when I tried it on with my slip, you can see lumps from the puffy slip. It looks kinda like a garbage bag with leaves in it. I had it bussled and it looks even worse when I bussle it since its being pulled tighter. The slip is very stiff. Is there something I can do to the slip to make it softer or straigted it out. I need ideas on how to keep my dress from looking lumpy. And I can't take the dress back, it's already been altered and everything.

My best friend is getting married at the age 19. I'm in college and won't be able to make it home for the shower, only the wedding. What are some good ideas for an inexpensive gift that I could send to her? Any ideas would help! I am not the wedding type/house wife kind of girl!

I am going to be a bride's maid in a wedding and am brining my six week daughter. My husband and I are divorcing and he will be out of state the night of the wedding. The reception starts at 7 and ends at midnight. I want to stay for the whole reception. I am not hiring a baby sitter because all of my baby sitters will be at the wedding. I plan to put my daughter in her baby carrier in a quiet corner at bedtime. Is this a good thing to do or should I leave earlier?

Do they wear a suit, a tuxedo, or what? If they do wear a tuxedo are they different from the groomsmen? Also, is the grooms tuxedo usually a little different from the groomsmen or all the same? Thank you so much!

I'm having a small outdoor wedding. I'm struggling with the program. I wanted to honor the people involved, so that was easy. However, when I write out the parts of the wedding I don't know even what they are called -- besides, this whole thing is short.... do people even need to know what's going on when? I'm thinking about just not doing programs at all.
Then again, this has been my tactic a lot with the wedding -- if it doesn't seem all that important or its trouble, I've just gotten rid of it.
Any ideas?
