I just bought this dress, and as always when it comes to weddings, I'm nervous that I'll be dressed incorrectly. It is a garden brunch wedding with attire listed as "casual". I'm hoping not to be overdressed, but I'd much rather be overdressed than underdressed. This is the dress, any opinions would be greatly appreciated:

We are looking to spend about 30$ a person for a nice rehearsal dinner in the Fairfax area. We would like to stay close to Fair Oaks Mall since that's where everyone is staying. If anyone has any suggestions, I would really really appreciate it. Thanks!!

Okay..

My BF has this female friend he has known before me which I dont mind. The problem is is that she has no car, a two year old so she constantly needs people to take her places. She does this with my BF and many other people.

I cant stand this girl. She makes me wanna take her out. Reason being because she doesnt know how to respect people relationships and boundary levels. I find her often interrupting my time with my BF because she needs a favor here and there. She doesnt do it alot but the times she does do it, it revolves around my time with my BF whether we are out doing something or just enjoying each other. He doesnt help her like before but it still bothers me when she does. She is in the military and sometimes she needs a ride home. It makes me wonder how she gets to work and care for her child at the sametime. I dont have a problem with him being her friend, but it pisses me off that she doesnt do for herself? Everytime I see her I get closer to cussing her out!!!

My Fiance proposed to me the other night. He then told me he was leaving for the marines in a few weeks and that he wants to get married when he returns in 2009 or 2010. As much as i am happy for him going, i am probably more scared. He's on the front line, and i don't know how i will get through the next 2 or 3 years alone. Any suggestions to help me keep my sanity?

My fiance passed away, I still cannot get over the worst moment in my life so far. I want to wear the ring everyday to feel that he's still with me, but every time when people ask I just want to cry. I am thinking to change the engagement ring to something else like a pendant or right hand ring so that I can wear all the time without being asked. The only concern of changing it to pendant is that I dont want to lose the engrave inside of the band, anyone has good suggestions?

My manager at work just invited me to her wedding. I hardly know her. I heard that she is asking for money, but that seems so impersonal and it isn't something I'd like to give.
Are there any ideas that are unique and inexpensive. She has two young children, maybe a movie certificates?
I have no idea.

I am getting married in October and need some ideas for readings at our wedding. We are having a Catholic full mass so they need to be from the bible. Any thoughts? Nothing about obeying and serving your man til the day you die!

How long before the wedding date do couples usually purchase their wedding bands? Is 10 months to far in advance?

I just recently got married and a girlfriend that stood up proved to be a disappointing attendant. From not caring about things before the wedding or even on the day, to not getting a gift I was majorly disappointed. I confronted her with everything and her excuse was that she was "offended" and found it "tacky" that I asked her not to bring a guest. The story is she planned on bringing one of her girlfriends who she runs off with and carouses with, and I know she would have been even worse of a bridesmaid, disappearing and making it truly about her. I have consulted various etiquette websites about this and they all say I am not obliged to invite one of her friends as a guest. I also thought it would be bad to have this girl sit with a bunch of people she didn't know for the dinner. I did forward a verbal invite through my bridesmaid to have her come to the after dinner which her friend did come to. What are your thoughts on this? If you need more details let me know.

Its over a year away whats the fastest but safest way to drop 15-20 pounds in a year?

A good friend of mine is getting married next August and since she is currently in Idaho, I told her I would help her find her place. She wants to get married on the Oregon Beach, so I am looking for a place that is blocked from the wind and usually has decent weather at least in August. Thanks for you help!!!

Hi,
I've been asked to do a reading at my brothers wedding ceremony. I have spent ages deciding what to read and decided upon The Art of a Marraige by Wilferd Patterson.
My problem now is, how do I start the reading?
Do I just go straight into it once I stand up, or give a little introduction.
If you think an introduction would be appropriate, ideas would be appreciated!!
Thanks

Has anyone had to transport their cut wedding flowers from one place to another?

All I'm having is a bridal boquet, but I'm going to make it myself to save money, so there's not a florist to take care of the transportation.

The wedding is taking place on a saturday afternoon, and we will be travelling to the location on Friday afternoon. We'll be in the car for about 2 hours.

Should I put them in a cooler for the drive down, and then into the fridge? Or do you think the ice in the cooler will damage them?

Do you *have* to pre-stamp the RSVP card envelopes? A shocking majority of people these days just pitch them, and then show up anyway, and with stamp prices skyrocketing lately, it seems like a huge waste of money.

My 28 year old brother and his 25 year old fiance are getting married on august 25th. I have no idea what to buy them.....here is some info about them....can anyone give me some ideas for a wedding gift

My brother:
He has always been into music..he has a band (punk/rock band). He has lots of tatoos, like skulls and snakes. He likes old rock like johnny cash, elvis presley etc. He also likes some sports, n he likes to travel n he likes the outdoors.

His fiance:
She also likes music, she is in my bros band. She plays piano n guitar. She is into makeup, hair, and clothes(very girlie girl). She also likes dark gothic things like my brother as well.

I was kind of thinking something that has to do with music, but at the same time. Im sure alot of people will be getting them like items.

I have a general idea, but i dont know any specific gifts.
so any ideas will help thanks a bunch....

I also have a limit..probably $100-$200
