Our wedding is going to be 08-08-08. I am sending out Save The Date postcards now, and invitations a few months before the wedding. Is it rude to list our gift registry on the postcards? I know you generally list in in the invitation... but I am a person who likes to plan WAY ahead, so I would be happy if someone let me know sooner so I could keep an eye out for sales and such. Is this bad etiquitte?

My friends are getting married next month and i'm thinking of getting them something unique that they won't expect from anyone. Can anybody help me with some ideas?
I was thinking of a Wedding Album of those unique moments during the wedding day and give it to them later; but i don't know if that will be right to send the present afterwords.
What do you guys think?

i bought my sweet 16 dress today and i love it, although i am afraid it might be a little too beady, but the price of the alteration really surprised me and my mom. what is the average cost to hem the bottom of a ballgown? the skirt is tiered so i think that makes it a little more complicated.

It will be an evening garden wedding. March 2008. I am thinkinh of fushia and green. I would like the bm's in black dresses. would that be appropriate? My thoughts for a centerpiece would be limes in a vase with fushia and light pink roses? What are your thoughts.

My fiance's best friend (and best man) always makes comments towards me and his gf that we should "make out".. as well as have a 3some or orgy etc.. It's usually when he's drunk as well.

I love to kid around with him, but I find this a bit awkward sometimes. Any relationship I've had before this it seems the guys best friend always hated me.

Any of you have to deal with a sexually driven best man?

I dont know what type of centerpiece I should use, Im hispanic and usually the tradition is that the guest get to take the centerpieces, I am not sure if I should use real flowers or silk flowers, or a candle stick inside a clear flower vase, is there anything else out there besides that? We are trying to compile a list for our DJ of songs that will get everyone up on the dance floor and partying the night away.

Some modern ones too and the golden oldies.

List your top 4.

Thank you

Do we put "Mr. and Mrs." or "Mr. and Dr."

If you have where/ what website you found it on - or where you learned the info, I'd appreciate a reference. Thanks!!

I recently was invited to a bridal shower for one of my friends and there was a card with directions to the place and listed where they were registered. Do I give my gift at the bridal shower or at the wedding? Or should I give one at both?

I'm not taking about pairing these colors together. But, keeping them seperate.

Am I the only one that thinks chocolate brown (or mocha) is not just another "trend" for wedding colors.

I think it's really classic. Along with black. Black is clearly not morbid if worn correctly.

Does anyone agree that dark colors as wedding colors are not just another trend?

I happen to think they will stick around for years to come.

I personally hate "loud" colors for bridemaid's dresses.

No offense, but not everyone looks good in dusty rose, lavendar, sage green, coral, etc.

I hate seeing pretty bridesmaids wearing a color that does not suit their skin tone or eye color.

Black is so classic, I often wonder why people dislike it so much.

Look at Audrey Hepron in her classic little black dress. No one can say she looks "dated" she looks classic and timeless.

Would people be saying the same thing if she was wearing lavendar or some over "loud" color?

Please help!
We are having the reception in Stamford, CT on Saturday start at 11:30am. My fiance' insisted that if we leave the reception between 4pm to 4:15pm, we can catch the 5:45pm flight at LaGuardia airport (LGA) - New york.
Can anyone who knows the traffic to the airport help me to let me know if we have enough time for the reception (11:30 - 4pm)? Do we have enough time to be onboard the flight? Thank you very much! Tina

We are having the reception at Sheraton hotel in Stamford, CT at 11:30am. How soon should we plan to leave the reception to catch the flight at LGA at 5:45pm in the same day? How long should the "normal" reception last? Thank you! Tina

No need to name names and hurt peoples feelings but a general idea will do. I don't want to hear the PC junk about how all weddings are beautfiul.....

For me it was the 80s. Pink and metallic silver baloons weighted down with strawberry flavor tootsie pops. Those paper bells and tulle EVERWHERE and a fog machine (I think it was supposed to be romantic) so people were tripping over everything lol.

Because if she is my sister-in-law's cousin(by blood) then she should be my cousin by marriage. Or a relative by marriage. Plus we all love each other like we have known each other for years but my brother just married my sister-in-law recently, and my sister-in-law's family are people we will be seeing for the rest of our lives because we all love each other. My brother's mother-in-law and her sisters love me like I was actually related to them by blood, and my mom and sister-in-law's mother and aunts are like sisters. So is my sister-in-law's cousin by blood related to me by marriage? Because that girl's cousin is my sister-in-law so she should be my cousin too or some relative by marriage. So is my sister-in-law's cousin related to me by marriage at all?
