Actually, Elaine is making her own dress and has the flowers planned. She doesn't know what to do. Her father has offered to hire an interior decorator and wedding consultant but I am not certain we want it that over-the-top. We were thinking about a much bigger wedding reception at a conference room in one of two hotels I have recommended with catering decided between the two of us. Actually, I am quite interested in the details of this wedding since I didn't have any involvement in the last one.

Why the hell would I care what my ex-wife thinks? She was an abusive, neglectful, controling woman who deliberately got pregnant to trap me into marriage, is a drug addict who won't get help, a mother considered guilty of abandonment by the courts who has had her visitation rights nearly suspended, who cheated on me and tried to demand alimony when she has a trust fund and a business along with an expensive cabin and a boyfriend who sells hard drugs and works as a swing manager at McDonald's.

Winter Wonderland? That's not a bad idea. I will run it by Elaine and see if she approves of it. She may want a Dutch-style wedding.

do you mean, "exactly a year"? I'm not sure the bride, or for that matter, the ex would appreciate that. try a more original date.

oh, sorry. you sound a little bitter about the ex. why would your nuptIal date have anything to do with the anniversary of your divorce??? simply referring to that shows that you are trying to get back at your ex in some way. i was thinking more about the bride than I was the ex but in actuality, either party could have been offended by a january date. if your bride is satisfied with the date, then that is all that matters.

Obviously the common "Winter Wonderland" and "Christmas" themes, but maybe you two can find a new more unique theme that still involves the current season.

wow, whats the big rush?

yeah, based on your extra details it almost sounds like your new wedding is to get back at your ex-wife.

you sound like you have a lot of anger from your last marriage that is already boiling over into this one.....maybe you should get that taken care of before you start picking out themes.

I would assume your new bride will already have this all figured out as most women do since they've been dreaming it up since they were born.
