Go to Pier One or Target and get a ton of the colored votive candle holders in those colors. Buy gold taper candles with those old world looking taper holders/candelabras. Have everyone drink out of wine glasses or if you're afraid of them breaking glass everywhere, they sell plastic wine glasses in party stores. Ask everyone to dress up in a nice royalty looking ball gown or make them with long poofy skirts, shaws, scarves, etc. and the guys in suits with their hair slicked back and painted on mustaches. Try to find a fake chandelier to hang, have fancy finger foods and sparkling apple cider. Have lots of silver and gold vases with red and ivory roses.

Well what do you have in mind with royalty? You could do crowns, or kinda a Cinderella idea with more of the royalty that ends happily ever after.

We don't know how big a sweet 16 it is. What kind of budget you are on, what the setting is. Is this suppose to rival MTV's Super Sweet 16 or what?

It's really not enough information but if the theme is royalty shouldn't purple be one of the colors? I'd make the tablecloths gold and ivory (alternating) and keep the red as just an accent.

I would save your money on decorations since no one is really going to notice how much effort you put into them...this is a sweet sixteen party and not a wedding. I would put the majority of your budget on a good band or DJ to ensure your guests will have a good time. Teenagers are usually only worried about the entertainment and the food...decorations fall far on the list. If you are stuck on doing a specific theme I would go for a royal Asian ensemble...those colors you've chosen are pretty traditional. You could use bamboo and Chinese dragons and or fans. It could be done tastefully without great expense. Good luck to you I am sure it will be great!

Just use your imagination.
Balloons and sweeties and maybe a clown and a face painter, oh and some ponies will be nice.
And a big pwetty pink and white cake.
