I will really try to lose weight I'm not that big before you say fatty but am always consious of my shoulders they are quite broad so I always cover them what do you guys think of a medeival style dress like these - for a normal traditional wedding?

I am going to a wedding in a church. Its a traditional wedding and here are the dresses i have:
A green, White, and pink floral print halter the hem is right below the knee

A black halter with rhinestones below the neckline and the hem is above the knee

A black dress with straps thicker than spaghetti straps and is below the bra line in the back but is higher appropriate in the front. the hem is above the knee

A orange and yellow floral dress with a couple crisscrosses in the back with spaghetti straps and goes with a jean jacket. The hemline is above the knee

Seriously. Almost everytime someone asks for a father-daughter song, there's like 4 answers that say "BUTTERFLY KISSES" Don't get me wrong, I love the song, but it just seems to be used WAAY to much!

Well, the Yahoo people were wrong who told me that it would be a bad idea to bring popcorn shrimp to my friends wedding reception because suposively nobody would eat it. The Bride said it would be okay and I brought it and before the end of dinner the shrimp was completely gone. I had 4 to 5 pop corn shrimps per tooth pick and about 50 tooth picks. Before dinner was over the dish was empty. So much for all the people on here who said that wouldn't happen. Has anyone els ever recieved popular advice on yahoo questions and answers that you've proven to be faulty advice?

My question is....what can I do that would not look tacky....to replace my bride's maids flowers. I kind of want to break away from the norm....and have them carry something else....my initial idea was these tin lanterns with stars on the top, and have a candle in it lit (since it will be a candle lit ceremony)

Any ideas?

spent on the wedding and not enough time is spent on planning for the "marriage"? It's not about the wedding....it's about what comes after the wedding.

My girlfriend and I have been dating for 5 months already, I've fallen in love with my girlfriend but afraid to tell her. I'm scared that she might not say it back. I care so much about her. I even risk my money on her. I went to a casino and betted 1000 dollars on casino (VIP card, minimum of betting is 1000), I had only $30 in my pocket when I entered last vegas. Now I got $38,000 from winning those high bets. I bought a very expensive purse for her. I'm actually very thankful to have her in my life. I'd be lost without her. How do I tell her that I love her?

you and your man are at a baseball game that is really crowded. then, the game ends [but its a fireworks show afterward so no body leaves]. he takes you out onto the field becasue he said he wanted to talk to the players [hes friends with some of them] so youre walking out to field and you get all the way onto the pitchers mound and for some odd reason all the players are standing around you [like on the dirt part outside the grass] and youre sooo confused. everyone in the crowd is staring. but before you ahve time to think about what is happening he gets down on one knee and proposes. of course he has a microphone on so the whole stadium heard it. then, when you say yes, the entire crowd cheers and you notice the whole thing was on the big screen!!! and as soon as you kiss the fireworks go off =]

then just when you thought it couldnt get any better, you realize that your entire family was in the crowd all along!!!

does that seem romantic??

We would like to rent a beach house for our wedding guest to stay in for our wedding. It works out because of the time of year is so expensive for hotels they will actually be saving. It would just be mainly a place for our families to relax. But how can we go about asking or telling them about it?

Okay so here is the deal...my mom and i aren't seeing eye to eye on this one....his parents have agreed to pay for the rehearsal dinner, they don't have alot of money and they said they could do this for us....now my mom is changing her mind and wants to invite HER out of town guests...but only a select few...i say if you invite on you have to invite them all, and you would have to include EVERYONES out of town guest not just hers....and she doesn't understand why im getting so upset over this, i don't want to take advantage of his parents especially since i know that paying for this isn't going to be easy for them...ive told my mom that if she wants her people to go (at least 30) that MAYBE she could pay for them...but she won't call his mom to ask...i feel its not me wanting them to come its her...she should have to ask right???am i being totally unreasonable??? please help....what would you do??? add at least 30 more people, or just leave it as family and the bridal party???

I know that they're very popular right now...but truly, unless it was my sister or extremely close cousin, I probably wouldn't go. It seems like you're asking so much of your guests for a local wedding, but then include airfaire, hotel, time off from work, and possible babysitter for multiple days...

Anyone else agree? Does it REALLY save you THAT much money? What are your thoughts on the destination weddings?

I am in mad love with my girlfriend and I want to marry her. The problem is that I think proposing is stupid and childish. I'm not going to buy a ring, get on my knees and ask her to marry me with some pitiful setting. I would look like an embarrassment to myself. How do I ask her to marry me without having to propose? Is there any way?

I am the matron of honor and planing a bachelorette party, one of the things I am doing is making sashes for the bride and the party goers. I am going to make the bride's sash white and say "soon to be Mrs. lastname" I want to make the other ladies red sashes and I am trying to think of funny/suggestive type of things on theirs. Can anyone give me ideas?

We have this great service in our area (its actually a chain that's catching on...www.supperthyme.com) Here you prepare the foods (mid-gourmet type) and cart them off in freezer-friendly trays. Each tray = 6 servings

My fiance and I are paying for our wedding ourselves, so are watching our pennies...I really think this will be a good idea- BUT am I biting off too much?? It will mean enlisting the oven's of everyone we know on our big day and renting the serving dishes.

I have a tendency to get all excited about something before I have every detail...we will be able to have 12 different dishes (getting 3 trays of each dish)- all for 645.00. This will allow our guests to have 2-3 trips to the buffet if they want (we have 125 guests)

obviously we are still looking at appetizers, drinks, etc...but how does this sound to you?? do you think this is do-able?

thanks!

I am trying to create a wedding map with directions from the Ceremony to the Reception. I've done extensive research on the internet and have not really found anything that can help me. And I'm not paying $200+ to order them already made! : )

Thanks!
