I am having a cousin be a candlelighter in my wedding. She is 15 years old. I sent the invitation to her and her family. So that would be mom, dad, and her. 3 people total. When I received the rsvp in the mail they had put that 4 people were coming because she is bringing her boyfriend. I did not put 'and guest' on the invitation. I feel that is for adults with a significant other. Otherwise everyone could bring a friend. What do you think?

The latest trends in my hometown are these: sign up for a registery at a travel agency for your honeymoon or there is one bank in town you can sign up to do a wedding money registery.
Part of me thinks it is tacky but then again I am unsure. What are your opinions?

I am getting married in a year. I was brainstorming on theme ideas and came up with "The Gift of Love." I like but don't love it.

I plan to use gift boxes as my decor and favors. I am also going to have the cake resemble a stack of gift boxes.

I need help thinking of a catchy and nice slogan/title/saying....help please

THANKS

I'm so curious... if you're a bride now, or when you were...what were some of the things that you thought was the duty of your bridesmaids? After reading that someone wants a cousin to call for RSVPs, and others say "I just wanted them to show up and be comfortable"...

What was your situation?

My cousin is getting married September 1. She keeps asking me to contact various relatives (HUGE family) to see if they're coming and how many - because they haven't RSVPed yet.

I honestly do not have the time (or energy because she has been such a Bridezilla) to contact these people.

Can I tell her politely, "Please contact them yourself."??

I have been dating my boyfriend for 3 years and living with him for 1. Ok my boyfriend has 3 really close friends. When I started dating him they did not have any girlfriends, actually when I moved in with him last August they did not have girlfriends. Now one got engaged in May but she already had a house. Now the other close friend proposed last night, they have not even been dating a year and just moved in together the beginning of this month. I am like what about me, me and my boyfriend have been dating 3 years. I feel he was going to propose soon, but now it is like competetion and no real suprise anymore, all of us will probably have our weddings next year so that sucks, but they are older than me.

My sister, and MOH of course seems like she doesn't want to help with anything. If i ask her opinon on anything.. she says.. whatever you want. My fiance can't even think of someone to be his best man (thinking about his dad) or groomsmen. So I'm thinking just not having a bridal party b/c everyone is so uninvolved. Is this a bad idea that i would regret?

I am so ready to cry. We've planned an outdoor wedding in a rose garden with an outdoor barbeque at a park and the weather forecast says thunderstorms. We have rain site at the garden thats inside, but obviously not as pretty as the garden...but at the park we're just under a shelter, but nobody will want to be there if its storming. i can't believe this...i've spent so much money on the barbeque reception.

I'm not planning anything just yet, but I do know that I would love to go to New York City for my honeymoon (if I ever decide to settle down). I'm just curious as to where you want to/are going to/did go to on your honeymoon.

I believe in god and jesus and all, but I was never baptized. I don't really have a religion, when i was a child I went to a non denomination church(i think that's the right word) We have 2 kids and they are both baptized catholic, and our son is already attending catholic school, and I attend catholic church with my family. I do not want to be baptized catholic, but it is very important to my fiance that we be married in a catholic church. I am completely supportive of him , but i was just wondering if We can be married there, without my being baptized? All and any advice or insight is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks, Pam.

We are having trouble finding a first dance song that isn't the typical "top 20 list"
Any suggestions?

Good Evening! For those of you who don't know me, I'm T, the very proud lil sister of our gorgeous Bride. I am honored for the opportunity to toast the bride and the groom as the maid of honor today. I want to start by congratulating C and K, and thanking all of you for coming here today!
I would like to also say thank you to my parents, for all that you've done to make this the special day that it is. And, of course, my gratitude to Mr. & Mrs. L and family for all your support and travel time to make this the perfect day for C and K.

C, I have to admit, I'm impressed with the way you cleanup. You look very handsome today! I want you to know, you have passed a tough test. As we all know, any man who can live up to the standards of K's sisters is a stand-up guy. On a more serious note, and on the behalf of the family, we would like to welcome you and your family into our family. Or as they say in Holland, . . . . (Groom is from Holland)

Now this is all going to ne on an extremely limited, working class guy kind of budget.I am looking for free to minimal price on a wedding location and maerican Legion Hall or something of that type is good enough for the rec eption.I'd like decent buffet style catering.Free beer but not an outright open bar.I am in the Hudson Valley area of New York if anybody is familiar with the area.I don't have a definitive amount of money at this point.I am trying to fig out what kind of cash I may need and the cheapest but nicest route possible.I am guessing approx. 35-40 guests.

My sister (22) is getting married and I need some gift ideas. I'm 15 so it kinda needs to be age appropriate if you know what I mean. (I suggested a pinata full of condoms to my mom and she about had a cow.) This is for the actually cerimony gift, not like a shower gift or anything. Thanks in advance guys! You always come through! :D

Posted earlier but didnt mean to close the question to new answers........
What are some good first dance songs? We dont have a song that is "our song" so im clueless. Also, What are some songs I can have played at the reception. We both love Rock and metal and know most are not acceptable to play at a wedding. Any suggestions? They do not need to all be rock songs but some that are ok for a wedding would be great! or pop/punk anything of that sorts. Plus some fun oldies to dance to :)

Is it okay to omit the dancing of the the maid of honor and the best man and everyone else in the bridal party? My bridal party doesn't really know my fiances best man and the groomsmen really well. I hate to put everyone in an awkward position by making them dance together. To tell you the truth, I've always thought it was a really stupid tradition. Am I the only one that thinks it's silly?
