I'm having a fall themed cake, and I don't really like the idea of a wedding cake topper. Is it absolutely necessary to have one? Would it look stupid if I didn't? Thanks.

He said he found it on "the onion" (website). There is a guy that is an expert pick up artist. My fiance is glued to his tv and says "he can't believe this idiot". The guy is somewhat attractive and dresses a bit alternatively.

Why is he interested in this? And if he is honest when he says "I can't believe it"... why is he so superficial on how he looks?

Once I think that I've figured the male species out.. it proves that I've been horribly wrong.

I have three little girls (ages at time of wedding:5,5,and 7) And he has a niece too, 10. They have all been asked (their parents really) to be flower girls in our wedding. I know it's MY wedding but is four too many?- I want them all in it but what can I do with them to break it up a bit. Someone told me I could have the oldest pass out roses to the parents and special people and be more of a floral bearer and help the little ones out with what they're doing.
Need ideas?

My friend is going to act like some emergency came up during the wedding, so he does not have to go through with it.......what should I do! Tell the bride or just stay out of it?? He told me in strictest confidence..........but...........I dunno.......

Yes, it is the bride's special day, but I wonder how do grooms really feel about the wedding day. So do you think grooms should actively participate in the plans or just stay out of the way and let the bride do it all?

I think it's somewhat of a degrading symbol. Call me a feminist if you want. But I think the symbolism behind the veiling of the bride is degrading. Is it wrong of me to think that way? What do you think? I'm open to other points of view. Thanks.

I should know the answer to this, but unfortunately I do not...so I am relying on you for an answer. My brother and I are throwing a 50th Anniversary party for my parents next year. My brother's in-laws are in failing health and live several states away, so it would not be possible to invite them. However my -in-laws live in the same town with my parents. Should we invite my mother and father-in-law? What is proper on this? It is a "no gift" party, just cake, food and time to chat with family and friends.

Okay, so besides the fact that she is trying to take over the planning and EVERYTHING ELSE! She is now saying that she wants my Fiancee to walk her in down the aisle. I have tried to explain to her that he is not suppose to walk her down the isle...but she refuses to listen to me! Call me bride-zilla...but this is MY WEDDING! Is it typical for the Groom to walk his mother in? Because I can't find ANYTHING on the internet to support her idea!!

What are some good first dance songs? We dont have a song that is "our song" so im clueless. Also, What are some songs I can have played at the reception. We both love Rock and metal and know most are not acceptable to play at a wedding. Any suggestions? They do not need to all be rock songs but some that are ok for a wedding would be great! or pop/punk anything of that sorts. Plus some fun oldies to dance to :)

I met the love of my life here on Yahoo Personals and I'm so grateful! His name is Tom Fiesel from Goodrich, Texas 77335. We plan to be married this coming December. We were both paying Personal Premier customers and I'd like to see if I could get a copy of our personal ads for my scrape book to preserve for memories. I think I referred to myself as "Even Tempered Woman". My email used to be francc62@earthlink.net but no longer exists. It's now francf62@embarqmail.com. I think my yahoo email is still francc62@yahoo.com. I believe I cancelled my personals ad the following January.

I'm so grateful to you all!! Can someone help me?

Francine Callahan (soon to be Francine Fiesel)

How do you establish a guest list!? Do you invite people that you haven't talked to in a year or so, or do you just invite people that you still talk to. I can't imagine inviting all the people from my past, but I feel like I have to, because if they found out I got married and didn't invite them, they would get mad...help?!?!

I would just like to take a second to wish C & K a happy half hour anniversary. I would like to say thank you to my parents, Mr. & Mrs. M, for all that you've done to make this the special day that it is. And, of course, my gratitude to Mr. & Mrs. L and family for all your support and travel time to make this the perfect day for C and K. At last, I would like to welcome C and his family into our family. The more the merrier!!

I have only been married for 6 years so there are probably many other couples here today that could give you better advice but here is mine. Actually, it's advice Mom gave me the night before my wedding day. So in reality, combined it is 46 years of experience. She told me: love is a decision.

On the surface it sounds a fairly clinical and an unromantic assessment, but if you think about it a little deeper you will realize that there is truth in these words.

It’s easy to fall in love. When a couple first meet, life

Wedding invitation etiquette states that when inviting an couple who you know are either engaged or in a long-term relationship and who do not live together you either put both names on the invitation and send it to the person you know most OR you send 2 separate invitations to both people.
iVillage's "Sharon Naylor is the author of The Essential Guide to Wedding Etiquette" has this to say about - "TOP ETIQUETTE MISTAKES IN INVITATIONS: "Putting 'And Guest' when the recipient is in a long-term relationship or is engaged. Again, this is a research thing. Find out the names of your guests' guests - you can call them directly if you have never known their significant other's name, or ask a friend or relative for the info. It's a gracious move that is the essence of good invitation etiquette."
http://weddings.ivillage.com/etiquette/etiquette/0,,naylor_bxsvgkr9-3,00.html
Also FrugalBride.com says "and guest" is only to refer to single people to bring a guest.
Follow these rules! Agree?!

I am starting up a photography business and am not sure what the best way to advertise is. I don't have a lot of family or friends that are good at supporting people and helping with word of mouth. I can't figure out how to get any business. Any advice is more than helpful.
