My boyfriend is in the navy and we live in different states, so I only get to see him about once a month. Anyway, I am visiting him now we start having a bit of an argument about a bunch of dumb stuff. He then brings up that I keep dropping subtle hints about wanting to get engaged and he wants me to stop. We agreed that we would get engaged in August because he is leaving for Iraq in Oct. Anyway, I told him that I already resolved within myself that we probably wouldn't be getting engaged this month and he responds with "What if I told you your ring is in this room right now?" I said Ididn't want to talk about it anymore. He goes over to his bag and takes out a ring and says this is your engagement ring. So I am looking shocked and I said "This is not how this is suppose to be" and he says "Yea I know, it's messed up" and then he puts the ring away. So here's my question, he showed me the ring, but still hasn't proposed and I am leaving tomorrow, what is he waiting on???

What is the ettiquette of second weddings? I mean dresses what colour can i wear i would like to wear a proper wedding dress again we are getting married in a regsiter office is it ivory ineed to avoid?Please any advice would be helpful

My fiance and I are on a tight budget. Instead of having a chicken or steak dinner, we were thinking of having a pasta bar. Basically, it's a buffet of pasta. Two types of pastas, three sauce options and lots of toppings (like mushrooms, artichokes, olives, ham pieces, etc). We'd also have salad, bread and probably a vegetable side item.

So my question is, does that seem cheap since it's not a meat entree? I've been to lots of weddings with lasagna, but I wanted to have something a little different. We also have a lot of diet restrictions to work with since we're having both Muslim and Kosher guests. What do you think? Any other inexpensive options?

I`m 25, he`s 28 & our bride maids & groomsmen are going to be young boys & girls aged under 10. We are thinking of 5girls 5 boys including young bride & groom. Best man & best lady are going to be older people, our ages.

He keeps creating situations in his mind and starts fighting about what I might do in a situation like that...
I never gave him any reason to be jealous. He keeps inventing stuff about me and other people and makes it even difficult to stay in touch with people in a formal way, because he suspects any other male to put me into trouble... Even when I am talking to people in a professional way at work, he keeps assuming things.... what can I do to convince him, that he can trust me? How could I make him relax and take it little more easy? ...after all it is only normal to TALK to people...otherwise how could one live?

My paternal grandmother and my mom don't get along. Nana told me that in order to my gift, I have to give her a picture and or a copy of the video. I am upset that she's not coming. The wedding isn't until Oct 08 or March 09. Invitations are expensive, should I send one anyway?

to rent. For my wedding next month. They're harder to find than you might think. I'm looking for solid green (no pattern, or very simple almost solid pattern) that's just normal green, crayola style green, not forest or dark or neon or anything. Just green. I just celebrated my 1 year wedding anniversary to my husband. And I couldnt be happier than being married to him.

But I miss all the wedding planning horribly! LOL I feel so bored and with nothing left to really get into. I am planning my husbands 30th birthday party, but it just isnt the same. No more dresses to try on, flowers to pick, programs to design, etc. I cant wait for our 8 year wedding anniversary, just so I can start planning our 10 year renewal service. LOL

My maid of honor lives far far away in another state. She isn't going to be able to help me out with a lot of prewedding tasks. When my other bridesmaids were getting their dresses ordered my maid of honor was slacking. I needed her to get measured and then send the bridal shop her measurements so we could order the all the dresses on time. I called her and email her repeatedly and she just ignored me and gave me stupid excuese until the day before the order was due. Can I ask another girl to be my maid of honor instead or is it too late? They wedding is in 3 months...

Im having a few issues with my mum. Don't get me wrong, i love the woman dearly! All my mum has ever wanted is one of us to get married or have kids. My sister delivered with the kids and now its my turn. My parents have said they'll contribute a set amount to the wedding which we were stoked about. My fiances parents said they'd pick up the rest of the tab. My mother said I have been putting the in-law to be's 1st and i have struggled to see where I have done this other than when we were first organising things & his parents were only paying for the booze, when mum wanted to buy wine for the tables I said no (figuring her money could be better spent somewhere else). She also says that i shoot her down about every suggestion (e.g. she said the song I walk down the aisle to should be a song about me and dad, i tried to explain it was the bridal march but no go). My mother is organising the cake, with no input from me, i have shown her the stationary and asked her opinion.

My family goes to this church with anither part of our families- sub family if you will. One of them is getting married this Sat. My fiancee is friends w/ the bride and the groom is my cousin. We were under the impression (b/c of brides comments to my fiancee' ) that we were invited yet no one else in my "subfamily" got an invite...no one! Now a week b 4 I ask if my fiancee', who was "invited" by bride, if he mailed the rsvp and he said another lady at my church had our invitation. I call her and she doesn't have it yet is invited. I really dont think we (any of us family or not) were invited at all ever. Would you go?

Im also getting married next yr. would you invited the bride and groom from "sub fam" to your wedding?

I really want to add a small sheer cap sleeve to my strapless gown. My question is, do I attempt to buy the sleeve myself and just have the seamstress sew it on, or ask her to make one for me? Is that beyond her scope? Do you think she would charge me an arm and a leg? (She is a regular seamstress, not in a bridal salon).

Also, I have a $6,000 couture gown....do you think I would be butchering the look?

I finally told my Ex That I am carrying his child. He was suppose to get married in november I believe but he have been spending alot of time at my house since I told him my secret and he is not mad at all, he is acting like we never broke up, he is doing everything for me and being really sweet. his girl called my house the other day cursing the sh!t out of me because she think im taking him away from her, but she was the one that broke up with him after he told her about me and the baby. I didn't want any of this top happen this is why I wanted to wait and tell him after the wedding. Now he thinks God saved him and that we should get back together. what am I suppose to do about his girlfriend or fiance or ex,a at this moment i'm not even sure whats going on. I want to keep it simple, but do not like calla lilies. I do like wildflowers, but no sunflowers. My colors are dark blue (midnight/sapphire) and white. I'm thinking about adding a little accent of yellow, but can't decide. My wedding is in May and because of that, I am feeling very overwhelmed on all the available flowers. I was maybe thinking of white carnations, daises, babies breath and blue roses, but don't know if that is too fancy for what I want. Any suggestions would greately be appriciated.
