I just celebrated my 1 year wedding anniversary to my husband. And I couldnt be happier than being married to him.
But I miss all the wedding planning horribly! LOL I feel so bored and with nothing left to really get into. I am planning my husbands 30th birthday party, but it just isnt the same. No more dresses to try on, flowers to pick, programs to design, etc. I cant wait for our 8 year wedding anniversary, just so I can start planning our 10 year renewal service. LOL
Do any of you miss all the planning from your wedding? Or am I just crazy? LOL

No, I don't personally miss the wedding planning but there's nothing crazy about you missing yours! I just got married a few months ago. While I was planning the wedding, my fiancee and maid of honor was in a different state, my mother invited 90 extra guests without talking to me about it, I was finishing up my nursing degree and working for a cosmetic surgeon. Perhaps it would have been more fun had I not had these added stresses.
It can be fun choosing dresses, programs, flower arrangements etc. but there's also a ton of stress that can go along with it. Perhaps you should be a wedding planner!

I love planning weddings! I had fun doing mine and I like to help people out when I can. I've thought about being a wedding consultant, but I don't think I could deal with the stressed out brides in the days leading up to their weddings. LOL.

Why do you think I spend so much of my days on here helping other brides plan their weddings? LOL! I love weddings and I love planning them.
There are other challenges and other milestones in life, though. Just make sure you don't miss them or give them short shrift in missing your wedding planning days.
And if you miss it enough, you might consider learning to be a professional wedding coordinator/planner.

I miss it -- especially the dress shopping (I felt so beautiful). My husband teases me that because I browse the Maggie Brides (on maggiesottero.com) all the time, and know when they update. I actually got offered a job at a bridal shop when I was helping my friend who got engaged because I was so knowledgable!
But maybe I miss it because I didn't have to pay most of the bill...
You know, you could always get pregnant and plan the nursery and baby shower... ;) And think of all the time you could spend picking out baby names...

NO! I was so incredibly relieved it was all over!
Then, I had dinner parties - promotion parties - kids, and birthday parties - other people's surprise, retirement, and anniversary parties.. and the list goes on.
Offer your services to other people - or become a wedding or party planner!

I can't wait for it to be over! I'm really excited about getting married, but really, the wedding-planning stinks!
