How long does a fancy wedding last like one that they read vows and light the candle and stuff and how long does the average reception last I have a wedding tommorow and I know mine all together lasted like 11/2 but it wasnt all fancy

I would guess the wedding 45min-1hour and the reception anywhere from 2-4 hours. You don't really have to stay the whole reception though. Have fun!

It depends the longest wedding I ever attended was catholic and it was two hours for the wedding and the reception lasted four hours. Really does depend most wedding take 30 minutes and receptions are about 3-4 hours. Well my wedding last 15 min tops and my reception was two hours and that's it. My step-daughter is getting married tomorrow and she plans on 20 minutes for vows and reception whenever its over. So it will be interesting to see what happends.Have a good time !

Ceremonies can last from 20 minutes to an hour.
Receptions are about 3-4 hours. Usually reception halls are reserved in 5 hour increments. So it's an all day or all evening affair.
Stop worrying about it and go an have fun!

if the ceremony is religious bank on an hour for that (1/2hr-45min for non religious). and then the reception should last 4-5 hours after the ceremony

Figure about an hour for the actual ceremony in the church and three hours for the reception...just leave before the best man gets drunk and crashes it.

The wedding could take up to 1.5 hours, but reception takes up to 2. So 3.5 hours altogether...

for every wedding I've been at we've been at the church for roughly an hour than then the party afterwards for hours!! I mean partying until 3am.....
Guess my crowd are just party animals! lol
