Okay, as if I didn't have enough stress as it is. My parents decided to get a divorce after I ordered my invitations. The divorce still isn't finalized, but my dad has a girlfriend of like two months now. I barely know the lady, but from what I do know I don't really like her, she's 12 years younger than him and not very mature. My mom is mentally unstable and I could just see this turning into something very bad.. what do I do?!?!

My niece is getting married and I'm thinking of buying a gift for the bridal showers. I've heard from couple of co-workers that if you are a close relative of the bride-to-be you should bring more than one gift for the bridal shower meaning you should buy more than one gift for the bridal shower. My question... in general do close relatives do that...is that the norm??? Or close relatives just buy one gift for the bride-to-be. Someone pls let me know!

I am very concerned about a potential problem with a wedding guest. I used to be friends with the giel 10 years ago but we have since grown apart. Upon hearing about our wedding she called assuming she was a bridesmaid. I found this odd as we had not been close or hung out in years. I broke the news that she was not in the party but if it meant that much to her I could fine a place for her doing something else. She started screaming at me and calling me names. I did not speak to her for a few months and then she called again. She acted normal and so I thought we would let it go. I sent her an invitation. Things seemed ok. Then I had a batcholette party and she was invited. She ended up freaking out at all my bridesmaids that she wasn't included and told me she didn't want to come and stormed out of the party. She then phoned me the day after and said it was my bridesmaids fault for planning the party without her. I expained this behaviour was not acceptable and she needed to appologize

I don't understand if we can afford this things, why not a WEDDING? Am I, being a spoil brat? I got the rings & the invite, my anut is getting the cake & food. I don't know what to do. We been together for 9 years.

my boyfriend is the best man to his friends wedding and the bride hates me. i am told that after my bf dances with the maid of honor and makes his speech that is when he can be with me the rest of the night. do i even bother going to sit by myself for a while or do i wait for his duties to be over and enjoy the rest of the night with him.

My friends are lesbian, so the ceremony has no legality to it, but they are going all out and having a "traditional wedding"

Would it be tacky to buy a black graduation robe to wear? I could get a decent one on ebay fairly reasonable. I am not looking to spend alot of money either.

I was thinking a simple black dress. Any thoughts.

Any ring engravements ideas that I can put on my fiance's wedding band? I want to surprise him with it, but I'm not quite sure what to do yet. I don't really want to put just the date and/or our names on it, but maybe a saying or something.

Thanks!

Instead of throwing rice, I've seen people ring bells after a couple gets married. Does anyone know some poems that can be attached to those bells? I haven't been able to find any good ones!

I know the traditional wedding for the first time, but not if 1 has been married before and the other hasn't. I am more concerned with what the grooms family pays for.

I want to sing a song for my groom at our wedding but I am not sure what. I thought about singing Wind Beneath My Wings because I once sang that at a friend's wedding but I am thinking that maybe that is overdone. I have a soprano voice so I can hit the high notes but I do not want to be too overbearing when I sing. I want to sing something that I can look at my groom in the eyes and sing to him and forget everybody else is there for the moment. I want to sing something where the words will say that you are everything to me and I will love you forever. Does anybody have any good suggestions?

We are having a wedding at a festival next year it is a theam wedding.I an looking for a way to let every one know that we are only having cake and punch. The place doses not have catering and out side food is not allowed. Now food can be purches at stands. The food is very rich and are things like turky ledgs beff stew bread bowles and chillie bread bowles. We have a few reasons not to pay for every ones food but the biggest reason is health. we have people who are diabetic 2 high suger 2 low , 3 cases of Iritable B and 3 ulsers. So most people can't eat there.
How do i let them know what is going on. do isend out a card in the invite that says cake and puch searved only or do i send a note when they rsvp and i send them there ticket in to the fair. My bf just said to do it by word of mouth. Please only serious awnsers

We are on a pretty tight budget for our wedding but we also have a ton of people that we both want to and are obliged to spend the day with. The location we are looking at only can accomodate 80 people. If we were to choose this location for our reception site it would be cutting out first cousins immediately and most of our friends. I have already looked into other locations but the cost is very high.

Would it be a lot to ask to have a multi day wedding.
I was thinking having the ceremony and then having a brief cocktail reception or something of the likes where we could invite our expanded list of everyone we want to be there and all the ones we have to invite. Then the next day have our reception where we invite all of the people that we are obliged to invite to an actual reception.

Does this sound like too much or too ambitious. I'm also afraid of making people mad by inviting them to one party but not the other....I am so confused!

my Fience has these friends who are getting married today. thye're complete jerks. they talk shite about me behind my back, AND to my Fience.

they are constantly putting me down, and acting like they are so much better than me.

they are spending money they don't have on their wedding, and than making fun of me when I get inexpensive stuff.

they make fun of me cuz my engagemtn ring is an alexandrite, and not a diamond (which, I specifically told my fience, I dont want a diamond)

so why do I have to go to this wedding?? I hate these people, they're jerks, but if I dont go they'll give me all this crap.....

how can I tell them, that Im not obligated to go to their wedding when they treat me like this??

and sorry if things are spelled badly, Answers won't let me spell check.
