I'd ask friends and family for help, but I know they don't have a lot of time :(

*FYI: I know nothing about having babies either. I probably just need a book that's titled "women's lives 101".

My sister in law 2b is one of the witnesses at our wedding. She seems pretty adament that witnesses are part of the bridal party..

I didn't think witnesses were part of the bridal party, i thought it consisted of our maid of honor, best man, ushers, bridesmaid, flowergirls and page boy..

She expects to sit on the 1st row of seats at the wedding, but i thought that was were the bridal party (as above) sat after walking down the aisle plus our parents...

Maybe i'm wrong and don't want to get off on the wrong foot with her.. but she has brought this up on numerous occasions

Anyone shed any light on this please?? Please explain to me what exactly the witness does at the wedding (opposed to witness the wedding and signing of marriage certificate).

Thanks

I keep asking questions about my wedding on here. Yet, people keep calling me a snob. Yes, I'm spending $25,000 on my wedding, but I can afford it. Why does that make me a bad person. I want my wedding to be perfect, but not for me. I want it to be perfect for my guests and for our families. I want everyone that is celebrating with us to be happy. I want my guests to have a warm, friendly and inviting atmosphere. Is there anything wrong with that.

I asked about getting my bridal party gift certificates to tanning. They all love to tan. I got called vain. But, why? All I wanted to do was give my bridal party something nice, that they may not be able to afford otherwise. Their expenses are enough, so I offer to foot the bill for something. I can called a snot.

I asked if I could arrange someone to pick up my 4 year old nephew at the wedding reception, so my new BIL (best man) and SIL could stay to the end. I was told I can't tell people how to raise their kids

I had a few drinks at my recent wedding & didn't mean to get drunk. I didn't have too many drinks but it must have been the not drinking water or eating much. It was great but now I can't remember certain parts of the night & worry people might have known. Plus I hate to have "missed" things :(

It was only about the last hour or so of the reception, but I can't forgive myself...

We are giving a Luau Honey do shower for my husband's friend! I love the idea of the invitation in the bottle! But I'm trying to find bottles that will work and can be mailed without other packaging and that aren't massively expensive! We are inviting about 45 couples, so it will be a costly thing!
but since I love the idea, I want it still!
So where do I get these bottles, and has anyone done this before and mailed the bottles (without other packaging)?? How did it work? What was the shipping cost? Did they leak or get damaged in mail?
any help is appreciated! Or if you have other creative suggestions, rather than the same old boring invitation?!

I want to elope, but I don't know where to begin. I live in the U.S., and I'd like to elope to Europe. I don't really know where exactly, because I've never been there! Lol. I am NOT an island girl, and I do not want a beach wedding!!! I want to get married in December, and I love snow so it would be perfect if I could find a location that's snowy in December. The wedding will be for just me and my fiance, but we want both a ceremony and a reception (Lol, basically a glorified dinner for two) for the two of us. I'm thinking of a beautiful castle or a romantic estate, but I have no idea where to begin. Please help!!! Thanks so much.

P.S. Please do not send me to other sites or tell me to Google something.

You will most likely get divorce in 2 years anyway, so why waste time and money?

We are getting married this year and need to find a way to ask guests to make a contribution to our honeymoon rather than buy gifts. I know that asking for money can be negative but in some cases easier for people as they sometimes dont know what to buy and a travel voucher would solve that issue. Need to know how to word it on the invites..any ideas!!

My SIL is getting married in TWO WEEKS!!! :) Anyway, so we were going to buy a topper for the groom's cake, but we decided to get some writing on the cake instead. The cake is going to be chocolate with chocolate icing (he's a chocolate freak)... but they can write on it with white icing or something like that.

I figured with the brains that you guys have, someone could come up with something silly, clever, witty, or a collection of those attributes that would be fitting... :) So, don't let me down, ok? LOL

My only idea was "Justin - Under New Management" :) ha ha So, whatcha got? :)

I am in the market for a engagement ring. I am going with loose diamonds and then pick the setting that i think my gf will like. My question is this:

Is a .52 carat loose diamond too small ? This is the actual weight of that diamond and not what is referred by some marketing gimmick as "total weight or tcw (total carat weight)"

The other numbers are very good for the diamond such as,
Color: E
Clarity: VVS1
Cut: Very Good

I have no idea if half carat diamond will be too small. Obviously I would like to get a 1 carat but they are pretty expensive and even though i could afford it I just think that they are too much for a stone.

any advice ? oh yes, i would like to get answers from guys & gals. I know most of the girls would say its not enough because for most there is a psychological barrier of diamonds below 1 carat (or so i heard) so i would like to hear from guys too !!

I'm 22 and my boyfriend and I were invited to his brother's wedding. I have not been to a wedding before and don't have much money to buy anything new. I do have a pair of white capri's I could wear but don't know if that would be against the "wedding rules". Can I wear the white capri's or should I just start looking for something else????

My fiance is totally cool with it, and says his mother is fine with it. She does not live in our city, and may not even
be able to make it due to her own birthday party her family
is having for her (which my man is choosing to miss- he isn't
close to them).

This is not all as bad as it sounds, REALLY, but I do feel
bad and our wedding is in ONE month- we love eachother,
our child is going on nine yrs old and we both want to get
right with GOD already...Jesus is coming back soon!

And only a tiny G string or none at all. It would be naughty all right but what a turn on. Only you and the groom would know (maybe the limo driver too)

I'm having a very small low budget church wedding. The small reception will include some finger foods and of course the cake. I'm not serving a meal or anything. Problem is there is no room for tables(round) or any for that matter. Would it be tacky to not provide seating since there is no "sit down" dinner?

Personally, I've heard horror stories and I wouldn't let my fiance have one. Why would he need to celebrate with strippers around rather than just have dinner with his frriends. I'll allow him to go out when we are married. Thoughts?

I was advised to scuff my wedding shoe soles so I don't slip and break my neck at my wedding. What is the best way to do this? Wear them and shuffle across the floor? Take the shoe in hand and scrap it on the cement? Do shoe repair places have a tool to do it?

If your dress didn't cost your more than $2600, then its cheap. Women your wedding day is special, something you have dreamed of since you were a little girl, don't let the pig you are marrying talk you out of getting less than $2600, if he does then he doesn't love you. Don't wear a cheap dress.. Take care

2007-06-06 06:21:17 · 17 answers · asked by Lavar P 1

I don't want to be cheap, nor over the top. I have never been in a wedding, so I have experience to draw from.

So far, I got them a jewelry set (ncklace, earrings and bracelet) They are cute, but not terribly expensive. About $25.

I am also arranging for a Home spa pampering session. Kinda like a home party without the selling. I'll just be buying them a set of pampering items like body lotion and bath scrub or something like that.

Is that enough? Should I add something else?

I also let them pick their own style of dress that fit their taste and budget.

I am being married next April and have chosen the colors pink and light blue. I came up with an idea for the centerpieces for the tables at the reception. I call Simple but Elegant.

Materials Needed:

Champagne Flutes
Clear Decorating Stones
Balloons
String
White Tableclothes

Directions:

1. Fill the champagne flutes with the decorating stones
2. Tape the strings for the balloons to the bottom of the glasses
3. Place on the table.

What do you think of this idea? If you have any ideas other than this please fill free to share. I am open to suggestions.
