A five year old's birthday party yes, but a wedding? My guess is you are going to be on here very soon after the wedding asking why your "Prince Charming" cannot live up to your expectations.

Grow up before you get married.

Try making center pieces with miniature pumpkins, that will go with both the Cinderella theme and the fall theme since you're having a September wedding. Arrive or leave at the ceremony in a horse and carriage. Or even hire the horse and carriage for the day so that after the ceremony and during the photos and reception you guests can take turns having a carriage ride. Have a real glass slipper that your groom slips on your foot just before you walk up the stairs to the alter.

Give all your bridesmaids golden chains with little glass slippers on them for your bridesmaid gift.

And finally plan a special surprise for your guests to happen at the stroke of midnight, a special snack or cake or something. I know in the south it's traditional to have a bride's cake and then a groom's cake, which is usually a theme cake (ie a western themed wedding would have bull shaped cake) but your groom could have a sword shaped or crowned shaped cake since he is the 'prince'.

OH MAN,
I am getting married in the 26th and I am having the same theme. Don't let people bother you on here about your theme or colors, I think that is a wonderful theme...Its about finding your prince charming and being a princess for a day, and what is wrong with that?
Besides I like your colors...

I found the most wonderful cake topper

http://www.exclusivelyweddings.com/Wedding_Cake_Tops-Cinderella_and_Prince_Wedding_Cake_Top_1.html~idProduct~3844~idCategory~13~seq~2~totRecs~19

I looked at the castle cake toppers when I was trying to find a topper and I never really cared for them. This one is hand painted with opal and gold paints and classic. A tad expendisve but its a Timeless and something you can pass on to your daughter.

Its so pretty, and I got little glass slippers for the favors that we filled with jelly beans with the colors of the wedding. I found this one website where I got a 150 of these shoes for only like 25 dollars.

try these websites

Are your colors the light blue and silver like in Disney's Cinderella? For centerpieces I would do a nice elegant arrangement of white flowers (roses maybe) with blue or silver embellishments like ribbon. Or an arrangement of pillar candles and votives on round mirrors.
The theme is cute... but if you work it into EVERY aspect of your wedding it may end up looking more like an 8 year old's birthday party than an elegant wedding. Especially if you're using Disney.

Very cute! I want a Cinderella themed wedding now, lol. I suck, I have no 'theme' other than a colour scheme and the fact that it's formal and elegant. Cinderella is a fun romantic theme, I like it.

As far as centerpieces, I can understand not wanting pumpkins, lots of orange there. You could do some nice square glass vases with massive white roses in them, continue with the romantic theme. I've seen glass carriages, castles, horses, etc, you could place those for a centerpiece on each table. Not sure of the mood you're trying to create, but you could perhaps find little disney characters, they have them in plush of course, but a little more elegant in glass, a pottery of some sort, porcelin I assume. Perhaps you could go to the dollar store or craft store, and buy a bunch of jewel looking gems and place them in a glass dish with candles accented either with glued on jewels or you could have decorative squiggles drawn on it. Maybe both your names could be written on each one as well. I just thought of something else, I have a cottage that is porcelin, that has lil windows in it, and you put a tealight candle in it, it's the cutest thing, maybe they have castle things like that somewhere.

The glass slippers, I think would be really cute as miniatures and have them as place cards. Anyways, I'm sure I just blabbed on, but good luck. By the way, my wedding is September 15th too! :)

I like the cage cake topper in Mrs. Mark's link... for centerpieces, maybe a short, round flower arrangement that is in the shape of a pumpkin, and you can drape strings of pearls or rhinestones around the arrangements... if you want, you can put a little tiara at the base... shame on everyone who is criticizing your decision! It's your wedding, and I love Disney. It sounds like a lot more fun than some of the boring, stuffy weddings I've been too....

I would do something like the stage coach with the horses with the bride and groom in the coach for the cake topper. You could probably get something like that at the disney stores. I think the castle would make a beautiful centerpiece.

I have attached some links that you might find interesting.

On ebay I have seen crystal Cinderella's coachs and glass slippers that can be arranged for centerpieces.

I have also seen the castle which I dont like very much for a cake topper. I prefer the glass waltzing couple.

You could also go with more Disney

I'd try to stay more on the clear, crystal/glass--more elegant. Often Cinderella themes get so into Cinderella that they end up more child's bday party than wedding. Keep it elegant like Cinderella's ball.

Congrats!

Well, of course the obvious would be a cinderella cake topper, but maybe a minature castle?

That's a very cute idea!
You could always name the tables at the reception according to Cinderella or Disney land (i.e. place cards that say Jane & John Doe - Fairy Godmother table)

Below are a few ideas. Hope they help :)
