I would GO to a local bridal store and try one on. I am exactly your size and bought a 10. There is no way I wear a 10 in real life. Just give yourself some kind of benchmark. Take your best friend. It's free. You can also get some kind of idea about styles. I love eBay, but a dress hanging on a hanger doesn't tell you much.

Wedding dresses run smaller than the average size. Meaning if you normally wear a 2, then you would probably be looking at a 4 or 6! You really should go try some on, by multiple designers, so you can have a better idea of your average size. Plus another hint, I thought I knew what dress I wanted, UNTIL I TRIED IT ON! It didn't look as well on me as it did on the model! So you could maybe find a boutique that carries the dress you are looking at on ebay and go try it on first! Then after you know what size and that you like the style, then you can get on ebay and buy it much cheaper!
I had to go up from an 8-10 that I wear normally to a 16 for my dress, but I have big boobs, so it had to accomodate them! And then I had the waist altered to fit and the length also!
Good luck and congrats!

Hey, that's interesting because we are the exact same size! I'm 5'2 and 115 lbs as well. My wedding is in August and I have yet to order a dress. It's a bit tricky for me because I'm in Asia, so I have to order a dress online. I've been told the best way to do it is to take your measurements, bust, hips, waist, and then submit those via email to a bridal shop (if you are ordering off the internet) or take those measurements into the bridal shop and have them pull out dresses close to those measurements. If the dress needs to be taken in, then negotiate the cost with the bridal shop, most often they will pay to have alterations at little or no cost. Sometimes it's included in the purchase.

maybe a 2 or a 4? it kinda depends on the style dress and where you carry most of your weight. If I had bought a mermaid style dress I would have had to go a couple sizes bigger and get my top part taken in because I carry more weight in my booty...lol, but I went a-line and got to go a little smaller cuz so much didn't bank on my butt. Keep in mind wedding dresses seem to run a size smaller than normal dresses, so if you normally wear a 2, a 4 would most likely work, a 4 then maybe a 6....you get the drift. you really need to go actually try things on tho, wedding dresses tend to look a lot different on the body than they do on the hanger...trust me, my faves on manquins looked ridiculous on me, and ones I didn't like so much in pics, ended up bein the ones perfect for me! See if you can find a store that carries the brand dress u are lookin at and go actually put a few on your body, beyond that theirs no true way to tell.

You are my EXACT height and weight! My wedding dress is a size 4 from (Monique Luo) David's Bridal, but other styles may be a size 6. My best advice is to go to bridal stores, try on the dresses you like. YOU NEED TO TRY THEM ON! I had a number of them picked out from internet and magazines, and when I went to the stores to try them, they looked awful on me! Your body type may not be suited for certain styles and look amazing in others. Even if they don't have your size in a particular style, ask for your size in any dress of that same designer. That way you know which size you are and which dresses you like. Then search those designers and the size you want on E-bay. Sometimes you can even search the style number on E-bay and the size. Hope that helps! Good luck!

You can't base it on size, since every designer has different size charts. You need to base it on your measurements. However, if you've never been to a bridal store to try one on, you need to do that first. Even if you don't buy a dress there, you need to get an idea for what types of dress looks best on you, and what you like in fabric and what you don't. Then you'll be more prepared for finding dresses online, because you'll be able to narrow down what you're looking for.

Hon if you wanted to buy a dress I wouldn't guess at your size, you should go to a boutique and get fitted, most places will do this for free. Although bridesmaid dresses fit differently than a wedding dress, a couple of my bridesmaids normally are a size 4 but they had to order a size 8! So I would definately find out the measurements of the dress and then compare them with your measurements. Congratulations!! : )

When I tried on wedding dresses just the other day at David's Bridal the woman helping me asked me for my pants size when I did not know what size dress I would usually wear.
