There are two books I'd recommend that were invaluable when I planned my wedding.
1) 1001 Ways to Save Money and Still Have a Dazzling Wedding by Sharon Naylor
2) The Best Friends Guide To Planning Wedding by Lara Webb Carrigan
But the poster for the first answer is right, try to get them from the library. It's silly to spend 20 plus dollars on a book you won't need again unless you want to be a wedding planner.
Lots of websites are helpful, theknot.com being one of the best.
One thing you should invest in is a planner specifically for your wedding. Look around there a TONS of them you should have no trouble finding one that will fit your planning/organizational style.
Most of all, enjoy the planning. It's an important day, but it's one day, and you shouldn't let it make you crazy. You won't enjoy it if you do!
Good Luck and Have Fun!
P.S. Worry about the baby books when the time comes. One milestone at at time. :-)

I'm actually getting married the 23 of this month
There are book..tons of em'. We used them as helpful guides, but that's it.
Make a budget, it's a must. It's good to look into places you'd like to get married, book in advance they fill up quick. Find someone you're really comfortable with to do the ceremony, it's helps so much. With photography you also want someone to be comfortable with, someone who's all about what you want because there are some photographers that don't give to cents what you want.Decide if you want an indoor or outdoor wedding. Look into where to have a reception, some places have the ceremony and reception at the same places some don't,decide what you guys are comfortable with. Lastly don't get too stressed, have fun with it
I hoped I helped a bit,I gave you a little things to think about but they are important plus you can also look into books and websites. if you ever need to ask further questions don't hesitate email. bye :)

I feel the same way! There are books on it. My advice though is don't bother wasting your money! I bought all the magazines when I got engaged and just browsed through them. All it did was make me nervous. I felt my friends and fam didn't have time to help me either so I went online researching. for the save the dates we went to www.vistaprint.com. It saves so much money! Remember this is your big day, so your friends will understand that you expect certain things out of them. We now have three months and everything is falling into place. My best advice is give yourself a year. I'm so thankful I did that! Hope this helped!

I didnt have a clue either to tell you the truth. I have only been to one wedding and I didn't know about the dollar dance or stupid little things like that.
I went to walmart and got this awesome book called " A Wedding to Remember" I think it was about 20 dollars and it saved me on how to make out invites and the proper way to do this that or the other thing. It has spaces to fill out information and phone numbers to contact people, like your cake person and so on....Wonderful book. Websites such aswww.theknot.com, I stocked up on magizines like Martha Stewart Weddings to get ideas, and Modern Bride and Brides. They have to much out there for people getting married its crazy...
Goodluck hun, believe me you will be fine you just need to know where to look
Congrats also! :)

it's going to be basic to locate a inn ballroom to accomodate 250 human beings. I had mine wedding ceremony at a inn and rented out 2ballrooms they mixed into one and that i had 350 travellers. call each and all of the motels. remember in case you invite 250 human beings a a million/3 wont tutor. you ought to no longer think of thats authentic yet i heard that from alot of folk yet whilst it got here to my wedding ceremony it replaced into very just about precisely a a million/3 that didnt tutor. so in the experience that your inviting 250 i could plan on one hundred fifty-200. in case you won't be able to detect a ballroom then check out hotels, and govt convention rooms, you would be suprised with decorations how pleasing they're going to finally end up.

There are a lot of sites out there. Just do a google search. :)
Try ultimatewedding.com and the knot.com for starters.
I used the first site to get ideas from other brides and plan my own wedding as well. There is a forum where to can ask questions, talk to other brides, keep a journal, etc.
Good luck and congrats!

There are scads of books on it. Try the Dummies series, I am pretty sure there is a Weddings For Dummies book. And the Everything series, the Everything Weddings, they might have that.
It would become your handbook for planning.
PS There are baby books in these series too.

Check out theknot.com. It has a lot of great resources. Also try Google. There are tons of sites that can offer you excellent wedding advice. And as for having babies, why not be childfree? You don't want to contribute to overpopulation and this way you get to hold on to your freedom, time, and money.

There is a great ebook that tells you not only how to plan your wedding but also how to save money doing it. If you want to read a review of this book go to http://www.wedding-savings-for-bride-groom.com/wedding-planner.html
