my cousins live away, but when they come down here on vaca to see all my family, who, by the way, all live up here, they are treated like their best friends, and my close family, who come to all the parties, give the gifts, and are here all the time, are invisible. and my aunt is getting married, and i dont think she'll put me in her wedding, and my mom gets really mad about that stuff and takes NO excuses, so i was wondering if you think i will be in the wedding. P.S. i am older by 2 years to the oldest cousin thats far away. P.S.S. im 12 P.S.S.S. i do like my cousins, and we are all girls

I'm getting married soon and I was wondering about the ring exchange. I have a beautiful engagement ring and a very simple and thin wedding ring to go with it. By itself the wedding ring looks very odd. Do I use the wedding ring by itself as is tradition or do I use the engagement ring with it.

So, my boyfriends older brother and his girlfriend have been dating for almost four years. And they're already talking about marriage. But the thing is, and this might be really awful of me, but I've always wanted to be married first. If they do it first, it seems like mine and my boyfriends wedding won't be as important. I really dont want his brother getting married before we do. It would take away from EVERYTHING I want. I can't stand her, but that's only because his parents worship her. They think she's freaking perfect, and I feel like I'm not good enough in their eyes by comparison. I dont know what to do! I wish they would just break up.

We're thinking about having the wedding on New Years Eve 2009, an evening service. Then our reception would be late evening to New Years! On New Years Day we hope to have a little party with the little kids who were not at the reception and people from out of town.
I think it would save money on food, because we could have hor d'oeuvres and cake, but we'll probably spend more on services and liquor.
I just don't know how far we would have to plan in order to get reservations made, especially since all of my extended family is out of state!
I'm doing more planning right now (because I'm the starry-eyed dreamer). I think dark colors on bridesmaids, but the flower girl could wear a lighter version of the same color. Our ring bearers will be his two Bull Mastiffs (they are so cute! and a real part of his family). Flowers may be a lighter color, to accent the darker bridesmaids and white (me!!)
I don't envision this will be a huge wedding (# of people) but I want it to be special, duh!

My wedding will be on Dec 22 and I am having a hard time deciding what colors to use (for bridesmaid's dresses, accents, etc.). I do NOT want to use Christmas colors at all...no red or dark green. Are there any other colors that would be good for a winter wedding?

I don't want to just pick out of a phone book or online. I want to find the best deal in my area for a photographer/florist. I don't just mean cheap, but I also mean quality. Thanks in advance for your help!

We just wanted to thank yahoo personals for bringing us together. After living in the same city our whole lives, we've finally found each other on yahoo. We've known each other our whole lives and after 4 years of dating, we got married 2 weeks ago. Yahoo personals works. Thanks again. We hope others can find true love on this site. It really works!

Either in the Richmond, Williamsburg, or Peninsula area. Preferably one that has capabilities to do the ceremony and reception at the same location.

(Disclaimer: First off, I understand that you are not suppose to ask or expect anything, but people often give gifts at weddings and they usually inquire about whether or not a registry exists.)

I am really curious about this, because I really don't have a problem with it at all. Is it a generational thing? I am in my late 20's, how do others in this age range feel about this?

When I attend a friends wedding, I want to give them what THEY want, not what the rules of etiquette tell me that I should give them. No one seems to mind if they have a registry set up at Target or wherever, so why is it bad to have a honeymoon registry?

I would much rather give the couple money towards their honeymoon than a vase, toaster, etc. which they may or may not ever use. Plus, I think it's easier as I can give exactly the amount that I can afford, rather than trying to find a combination of things on a registry, that fit my budget.

The quickest way to make my girlfriend a permanent resident of my country is to marry her. Otherwise, we may not get to stay together. But we are not yet prepared for marraige, we have only been dating 6 months and are only 25 years old.

We are thinking of marrying in a registration office to enable us to be together. But we want to keep this secret as we want a proper church marraige in a few years time.

What are the implications of getting legally married now; will we still be able to get married in a church in the future? I am Catholic and she is not a member of any church (Chinese).

My friends wedding is at 5:30, but I have to work until about 7:30. I might be able to be done more like 6, but I'm not sure yet. Then, I still would need to change and drive 30 minutes or so. The bride told me that she really wants me to be there as much as possible, and I can come late if I really can't make the ceremony. However, I would feel rude arriving late, particularly if it were really late. Plus, she is technically already married and I was present when she eloped.

We have a long distance relationship. He is cheating on me but rather than tell me after the fact, because of our extrme honesty and what used to be a truly amazing relationship he gives me the play by play of the sitution with the other woman. He cant walk away from her, his words are that she leaves him completley incapacitated. I dont know what to do, i know he is not cheating because of our relationship, it is the distance, he is lonely, and she made him feel good, i mean the girl started telling him she loves him in two weeks time and obssesing over him... guys like that. He doesnt want me to go but i dont know what to do . A part of me feels it will be over with her in a matter of months but WTF is he doing ... i know him for so long i know how he was in his other relationships and a part of me is not suprises, but i know that no matter what a par tof him cant live without me either. I am so confused.

My parents are divorced, my dad is remarried and walking me down the aisle. My mom is not remarried. When the preacher asks, "Who gives this woman...?", does my dad say "her mother, step-mother, and I? Or "I do" or WHAT? My step-mom has been in the picture for about 10 years, so she needs to be included unless my dad just says "I do" like he is giving me away.

My parents don't talk to eachother unless they have to, but they are civil when they do talk.

Any suggestions for how to word the "giving away" statement?

We aren't that close but he has been in my life for 10 years. I'm a lot closer to my Dad and we've already chosen Daddy's Little Girl by Tim McGraw.
I dont want anything too sappy for my Step-Dad and I!

:]
Thanks!
