We aren't that close but he has been in my life for 10 years. I'm a lot closer to my Dad and we've already chosen Daddy's Little Girl by Tim McGraw.
I dont want anything too sappy for my Step-Dad and I!

:]
Thanks!

My stepdad is named Floyd so we chose a Pink Floyd song for him. Can you play of something like that or choose a song by his fav. band?

He loves U2 but I just can't do the Bono thing so....

"Isn't She Lovely?" by Stevie Wonder

Or something fun to get the crowd going like, "Get Happy" or "Get Up and Dance" or something that's some sort of inside joke in your family (a hula, a disco song, a country western line dance, etc.)

I would NOT do any love song sort of thing...that's pretty creepy for a step-dad thing.

How about something light? I love, "Like a wink and a smile". I'd pick a song that's more about the friendship you have with your step-dad, not about fatherhood specifically.

You're a lot closer to your Dad, have your dance with your Dad, it's weird that step-dad wants a dance, if he wants one and you're willing, make him pick it. I think the wisest choice would be to have your dance with your Dad and step-dad can just be a wall flower and be supportive.

What a Wonderful World might be a good choice in this circumstance.
