can anyone give me ideas on some unique vows we can say other than the usual?

I am getting married in October 2007 and my Fiancee and I are writing our Vows... I think writing your own vows has so much more meaning than reading from a book or from someone else that made it up...It is much more personnel...Speak from your heart, it may take some time, but it will come to you...It took me almost 3-4 months to finish mine and there are days that I go and read it and I am still finalizing it...I am not saying it will be easy, but it is much more meaningful and you Fiancee will appreciate it alot more because you put alot of thought into it...Good Luck and Best Wishes....

I searched for vows online and copied sections I liked, then made some small changes. Easier than trying to write them word-for-word! There's lots of websites that have vows.

Maybe you could make up a poem (or a letter) of how you feel about your man and read it to him on the wedding day (read your letter/poem instead of taking your vows). Let him know how he makes you feel, how much you love him, how he completes you,how you want your future to be with him, etc..And use that as your vows.
