I have heard about this to save money, and I just saw a question where someone answered that they had theirs sponored.

How do you go about that? I would love to try it!

My flowergirl is going to be wearing ivory with gold trim, ring bearer black tuexdo with a lavendar bow tie, jr bridesmaid white dress, jr groomsmen black vest with lavendar shirt and black pants, bridesmaids are going to be wearing orchard(lavendar) and grape. The ushers are going to be wearing black and the groomsmen light gray of course with orchard and grape vests. My dress is diamond white. Do you think this will go good together or should the ushers wear gray as well?

We totally love, respect and are having the time of our lives and I feel that we really want to get married but he is not the most speedy person in making the first move, so I would like to propose to him but not sure how to do it. I have a ton of great ideas as to were to do and how and I am pretty sure that he would be most flattered (and say hell yeah he'll marry me), just sailing unchartered waters. Any sugesstions? I know western society is so tradish, but we are both "boomers" and really love life and each other, so be kind in your replies.

My fiancé and I don’t know what to do. He moved to Southern Alberta, from Ontario. I moved from northern Alberta. We’ve decided that a simple wedding with close friends and family would be best best. But there’s the problem: Where do we have the wedding? We’ve broken it down into some choices…
Do we have it in the city we currently live in? Have both sides drive or fly and find accommodations? Not that our families are poor, but many are young families trying to get a life started.
Do we have it in ONE of our home towns? Though this would be nice, how do we ask the families from Ontario to fly even farther? (ticket prices get crazy once you try to fly north of central Alberta) But then, it would be expensive for those who LIVE up north to fly to Ont.
Do we elope? run away to Hawaii? Take pictures and have a party with a slide show in each town? But if we don’t have a wedding, how else will our families ever meet? I’m sooo confused. Please help!

I was married 2 years ago in a Catholic church. I remember taking this super long multiple choice test with my husband to see if we were compatible and to identify the issues we needed to work on. My friend is getting married next year and is going this Saturday to take that test. He asked me what kind of questions were on the test and I can't remember? Has anyone taken this test recently?? Did they ask about sex and stuff like that?? I remember them asking about finances and how we want to raise our kids.

My friend (of 15 years), is like a sister to me, which is why I asked her to be my matron of honor. She is giving me a hard time about the type of dress I want her to wear, which we haven't even started to try on yet. I prefer either the strapless, spaghetti strap, or halter style. She says that she is not comfortable, and I said that she could wear a shaw with the dress. She said that she wants nothing more than to stand by me in my wedding, but if I choose to not have her in my wedding over a dress, then she is fine with it. She is totally playing on my emotions and making me feel bad for something that I want. It is MY Wedding, and she is trying to control it, and I hate that she is making me feel this way! I want my girls to match...I do not like the style where every girl wears something different....that just isn't my style. How do I handle this and still save our friendship....if it should be saved? She is also giving me problems over hair, makeup, and shoes, too! Please help!

Im putting in a pic of the golden girls (maybe dvd) goldschlager, maybe some chocolate gold coins. Any other ideas. Also real gold may be too expensive, so more along the theme than actual gold. This is for a shower/bachelorrette on St. Patricks Day.

I just paid 14K for my daughters wedding, we drove my daughter & son-in-law to the hotel & then to the airport to fly to Mexico for a week (we paid BTW). At the end of the reception my son-in-law sat us down to assure us they won't make the mistakes that we have made (WTH) but he said he didn't want to offend me. I listen and said "1st I'm not offended) 2nd I've been thinking about your job, I think you should sell twice as much and work 1/2 the time you do, I would change this and that etc, then he said WAIT...you can't do that, no offence he said but you don't know what your talking about, I said I know I've never done your job but I think I could do one hellva better job than you...see I won't make all those mistakes you have...but please don't be offended. He said, you just don't have the experience I have, your ideas would never work. I said yes they will, see at your age (25) I put myself through college , owned a home had 2 children and made better money than you do..I'm smarter

I have a wedding planner who has been helping me a great deal. Although I am not paying her (she was assigned to me by the hotel in which I will be married) she has been working very dilligently to help plan my day.

My question is: since I am not paying her, should I get her a small gift ($75-100)?

I'm thinking a nice vase from Tiffany or something?

Traditionally, people always look at the bride and want to ask details about the wedding and the ring and the whatever else. But my fiancee feels that the whole process will just stress him out and it might change our relationship. This is obviously the last thing I want. So does anyone have tips on how I can keep from overloading him with talk about the wedding, but still keep him involved?

So I have a month and some odd days to go...April 28th.

We just finished up with our pre-marital classes, and now we're working on the ceremony music, and we're not very traditional people.

My fiance's father is singing Billy Joel's "She's Got A Way" during the seating of the mothers and lighting of the family candles. I'm walking down the aisle to Shawn McDonald's "Here I Am" and during the lighting of the unity candle, my maid of honor is singing Des'ree's "Kissing You". But what does my bridal party walk down the aisle to?

Any suggestions? Thanks!
