I'm going in asia, to Bangkok to marry a thai girl that I met at online asian dating site. I have no idea what are the costs of ceremony wedding in thailand. I’m not very rich but I don’t want to make bad impression. Is anyone in this site ever married a thai girl in thailand ? I'm talking about traditional thai wedding. I’m from Texas and I have no idea about how they marry in that country, I'm just in love and I really want to be with that beautiful asian woman for the rest of my life. Thanks for answers!

Most weddings will cost 69,000 Baht depending on how many people you invite (6 guests are always included free, we love to have friends and family come share the Thai experience). May be easily customized to 24 guests (extra guests are 999 baht each )

Traditional Thai wedding cost depend on the girl's family. Actually, it should not cost much since traditional thai wedding mostly take place at the girl's house. The people who attend will only be relatives, and neighbours. Also, according to the culture, the girl's family will ask you some amount of money in exchange of marrying their daughter. The amount is vary. Could be as less as 20,000 baht, or as much as 10 millions.

One more thing you have to know is the law. As a foreign husband, if you wish to stay in Thailand, to do 1 year marriage visa, according to Thai law, you must have at least 400,000 baht in your account to show to the immigration (every year you have to show that amount of money to them). It sounds funny but that's the way it is here in Thailand.

My suggestion is, it'll cost you less in the long run if you will take her with you to your own country.

Good luck.

u should know that u can't bring her directly back for a permanent residency. that will take around $1500-$2000 and 18 months, if you use a lawyer to get all the paperwork done right the first time.

many fillipina girls play this game and they are constantly deriding their "husbands" to send more money. as shown on 60 minutes.

u might go over and check the lay of the land. but, bear in mind the costs involved with a spouse visa.

It's going to cost you a heck of a lot more once you have her in America and she takes you for all you've got.

Dude.....dude. Not to rain on your parade, but you are setting yourself up. It is true that love knows no bounds, but these are two very different cultures....isn't Thaliand also famous for "ladyboys"? I forsee dire things for your future, but then again I am a pessimist. I wish you the best.

For cost, it really isn't as expensive as the US, but you are still looking at somewhere like 5-10k, maybe.

Be careful with that man.... Are you older or still pretty young? It may be better to meet her fist and spend some time together before just marrying her.

you not only need the cost of a wedding, you had better check on what you would need for a divorce.you might be better off spending all that money on your mental health.
