I have been friends with a girl my whole life, our families are close too, the problem is i'm getting married next year and she has presumed she is going to bridesmaid, I wasnt even planning on inviting her because she is rather huge and has ginger hair, its not going to look good on my photos is it? Do you think i could tell her she can come but has to keep out of the photos?

I am having mine cropped short, like Kylie Minogue has hers as my b/f (bravely) confessed that he thinks my long hair ages me and I have decided to cut it really short again (he met me when I had hair like a pixie) but I cannot find any inspiration for head-dresses or suggestions for really short hair, why do they presume that all brides have long hair??? So annoying!!! Would you go for a small tiara or a feather fascinator? (kind of like a plume thing on a clip or comb)

My neice will be getting married in December 31. She called me on Thanksgiving morning to let me know that they had decided to cut down on their guest list, and that my family and I will not be invited to their wedding. My parents are both deceased, and I have 2 sisters with 6 neices...3 each...She went on to tell me that she is going to invite my other sister and her family. My feelings were very hurt, but I tried not to show this, as I don't want to cause drama with in the family. I was almost over this when I heard the next day that the oldest daughter of my other sister had her first baby (the first to give birth of any of our kids) a week earlier, and nobody informed me...ouch....hurt my feelings again...NOW...I got an e-mail from my sister (mother of the bride) last night...to keep December 10 open, as I will be recieving a wedding shower invitation sometime this or next week. I am numb, and I really do not know how to handle this?

Many of my male freinds tell me they have many scratch scars on their backs as a result of letting their wives grow long finggernails and love to scratch them.Is it possible that our ladies can be taught to cut their fingernails at least once a month to avoid this? What do you guys think about this?

I already have this so far but am thinking maybe its too much..."A TALE OF 2 PEOPLE" Once there were 2 people who became very good friends. They enjoyed each others company, talked about life, Loved the Lord and knew almost instantly that their friendship was special. They became lovers and since they've always known that their relationship was a gift from God-thus- he slipped his love on her finger, now they are engaged!
its a love that'll stay, its a bond thats forever do join us on an intimate evening as we celebrate our engagement DATE: TIME PLACE ATTIRE RSVP?????? IS THIS TOO MUCH????

Initially I thought it would be fun to have more than one flavor combo for each tier of my 4 tier wedding cake. Then, after talking to the baker it occured to me that maybe that's too complicated. The baker is happy to do what we want, but how do you pass out cake that offers multiple flavors & fillings and get it all straight! To me it seems like we (the bride & groom) should just choose what we want ... one cake flavor & filling ... and be done with it.

Doesn't having multiple flavors to choose from just create unnecessary confusion for the guests & the servers to boot? And all 4 tiers will get cut into leaving exposed, leftover cake instead of just cutting what is needed to serve the guests, right?

We are having a chocolate fountain (with dipping items), fruit, crackers & cheese for snacks after the party gets rolling into the night, so there is some variety of treats other than just the wedding cake.

Has anyone had a multiple flavor wedding cake? How did it go?

She said the song has both Chinese and English verses. Any help you can give would be appreciated ... Thanks!

I'd like input from other couples who've had weddings after they've already had children. My daughter is going to be around 3 for the wedding and we're having issues with trying to figure out how everything is going to work. How did you guys handle them during the ceremony and the reception? Did you have a honeymoon and leave them with relatives? Or did you just take a family vacation? I'm at a loss here and we don't have the money to hire a planner or anything and I'm handling it all myself. Please just serious advice not people being snarky about my life. Thank you!

I don't know if this is a modern trend or just poor taste. I thought invitations usually said you could bring a guest ( of your choice). not a date. The groom's mother said that you could bring someone if you were in a longterm relationship but not just a friend.Let me just clarify that the groom's mother said that it was to keep costs down but how does it cost less to have a male and female come versus two females who are just friends (and currently not dating anyone).

I am wondering what I should do for Christmas. I am not very close to my family as we had a fallout. I am in my 20's, married, and have a young son. Question is... my family (parents...) are getting us gifts as I know. I am wondering for simple Christmas Ideas for them for gifts.

They rarely seem interested in our lives, and never see us. Nor is the rest of the family close. I would feel weird getting them something extravagant, but I can't just give them a card... type of thing.

Thanks in advance! Merry Christmas!
