I am having mine cropped short, like Kylie Minogue has hers as my b/f (bravely) confessed that he thinks my long hair ages me and I have decided to cut it really short again (he met me when I had hair like a pixie) but I cannot find any inspiration for head-dresses or suggestions for really short hair, why do they presume that all brides have long hair??? So annoying!!! Would you go for a small tiara or a feather fascinator? (kind of like a plume thing on a clip or comb)

Long hair looks prettier on some people I agree, but if it doesn't suit you it just makes you look old and ugly, so why have long hair just because it's popular? I have to say that everyone is different, and long hair just does not suit me at all, and at least my b/f was honest and told me, so that I don't look haggard on my wedding day!!!

The bridal magazines do not feature brides with short hair because it's not good for advertising.
See, the tiaras and all that are made for up-do hairstyles. Also, veils are made so that they have enough hair to grip onto. Manufacturers of these tiaras want to advertise, but they can't advertise if the models have pixie hair.
There are some headband styles you could go with if you wanted a veil or tiara. But with all of your long hair pulled up and back away from your face, it will have that younger look that you're going for. Why not keep it long until after the wedding, and then crop it all off?

i found this to be the case as well. i have just above the shoulder hair. all the styles seemed like you had to have really long hair. my hair could only grow so long.
i'd say with your short hair a tiara would be fine. do you have a dress yet? try on the dress and then put the tiara on. you have to see how it all looks, try the tiara closer to the forehead first and then work it back. some tiaras look better up front, some look better sitting back.
another idea...a band of flowers that would go all the way around your head with the veil hanging down from it.
enjoy your wedding!

It's funny you bring this up because I usually wear my hair at about chin length, shoulder length tops - and when I met my now husband, I was growing it out...then when we decided to get married, I really grew it out until it went all the way down my back - and I did it on purpose because I wanted my stylist to be able to do anything necessary to it the day of the wedding. It worked out good because I was able to wear it up...now I've since cut it again and it's short. I have also noticed most bridal magazines feature brides with long hair. I have seen brides with short hair who wear beautiful white clips in it the day of the wedding and forego the veil. It's a thought. :)

Because most people have long hair and there's less you can do with short hair. I have really short hair. I'll probably go with a tiara unless I can find a veil that doesn't look silly with short hair. Good luck

tiars are pretty!!!!! and sparkly!!^-^ plus they look really great in short, pixie-ish hair. or you could tuck a flower or a feather behind your ear. i think a veil might not work very well with short hair...not sure why, but i think it would look odd. short hair i always thoguht of being able to show it off, kind of like an attitude, but i guess it depends on how short you're talking. a long veil would balbnce it out nicely, but short hair would be too much shortness.

Take a look at www.weddingchannel.com and go to their beauty section...they have a ton of pictures for your hair and a lot of accessories also. Go for a comb or some fun clasps with feathers or flowers. Match your hair to the theme of your wedding.

Perhaps a kind of stereotyping that pple have...Girls always relate to long hair..But having short hair is cool..Great to the 21st century sexiest, modern woman.

Most "beautiful" brides MUST fit a stereotype - Tall, slim and long hair... :D
Just go with the style you are happy with, forget what the sites and magazines say!!! :D

the hair covers our head from baldness. it is convention to sport long hair to have a wholesome out look pleasing every one so that we will be happy as we do have presentable personalty which boost our self confidence. pride, an interest for interaction and morale.
