I am 24 and currently in a 6 year relationship. Marriage is definately the next step that we will be taking within the next 2 years. I am writing to get this off my chest..Is it really wrong to marry for money? Well I'm not marryin' purely for money..maybe my love is based on money? I know to many it sounds low and disgusting or whatever..And thats fair enough 'cos we all have all own opinions. I know that many of you may say that he deserves better and that he deserves true love but if I was to break up with him, it would kill him.

He is very well off and treats me good and I don't want to end the relationship and struggle through life constantly thinking of bills, morgage payments etc. He does a lot for me and buys me nice things despite how materialistic that sounds. Do people sacrifice true love for financial comfort?..hrm what is true love..Don't they say that there are more there is more than one kindred spirit (or whatever u call it) for a person?..Please advice on this.

Help me settle an argument I have been having at work - to buy engagement presents or not to buy engagement presents, whats the etiquette? My husband and I didn't have a proper engagement party, we just went out to dinner with friends, a real impromptu sort of thing. I think that buying engagement presents, kitchen tea etc etc is really materialistic, especially when the people will get wedding presents as well. I think its asking a bit much of your guests to keep getting you things. I'm probably going to put some noses out of joint with this question but does anyone else think that its really materialistic? If you are getting married for the sake of love it isnt about the presents! Some weddings these days seem to be more about money than anything else.

I am just finishing school. I will be done Dec. 14. My fiancee and I have been engaged since October and I want to have the wedding in Oct. 2007. I don't want to start any planning until after the holidays and I am done with school. Is it possible, if the venue is availble, to plan the wedding in 10 months?

My Fiance just moved in with me from out of state. He has a job. But we have been fighting 80% of the time. Is this just due to the adjustment or is it because we aren't meant to be. We fight about cleaning up, the apartment, family holidays, appliance purchases, etc. But does a bit of negativity breed more and then become a non stop tornado of it? Do such bad times pass or is this a sign we aren't for eachother?

At our wedding, each of our guests is getting a 6 oz steak and chicken breast. I'm a vegan, so I will probably have pasta and tofu or something animal friendly like that. And my fiance thought he would just get a larger cut of steak and skip the chicken for himself. My parents think we are saying we're better than everyone else by eating something different. I say, "it's OUR DAY!" And besides, it's not like, we're feeding our guests the fried chicken and mashed potatoes buffet ya know? Any thoughts?

I've looked through multiple catalogs on wedding napkins and only found one I like, but it's not the color I'm going for. I found an ink stamper that would be perfect and was wondering if there's a certain ink I could use to make my own, but don't want it to rub off on someone's face. Any ideas? I've searched the web and can't find an answer.
