I already have this so far but am thinking maybe its too much..."A TALE OF 2 PEOPLE" Once there were 2 people who became very good friends. They enjoyed each others company, talked about life, Loved the Lord and knew almost instantly that their friendship was special. They became lovers and since they've always known that their relationship was a gift from God-thus- he slipped his love on her finger, now they are engaged!
its a love that'll stay, its a bond thats forever do join us on an intimate evening as we celebrate our engagement DATE: TIME PLACE ATTIRE RSVP?????? IS THIS TOO MUCH????

Um, I think it's too much. Sorry. Particularly the "and then they became lovers" part. Most people will take that to mean "and then we started having sex." Are you sure you want that there?

Perhaps you could condense this to "We shared a friendship that grew into a special love that has been blessed by the Lord. Now we are ready to make that love eternal through holy matrimony. Please join us in celebrating our engagement."

Even that's a little flowery for me, though.

I like it, I dont think it is too much.

As for the attire, if it will be formal you do not have to say "please dress up." However, if it is casual you might want to add it. For example, if it's a luau theme then you can say, bring your hawaiian shirts and flip flops etc....

but everything else is good.
