Why is it always the devil?? Maybe god is testing you..... if your not willing to work hard for something..... then what do you want people to say to you. Life is hard and it doesn't get any better.

Well, you don't need much money for a wedding, since he's been paying his tithes and going to church, I'm sure the church where he's been attending will probably even let you use the chapel for no charge. The ceremony itself isn't really the expensive part of a wedding. You're talking about the RECEPTION, which isn't the wedding. You have 1 of 2 options here. You can either downscale--have a reception in someone's backyard or in someone's home, or you can both work extra jobs between now and the wedding and save the extra money to put towards a nicer reception. My brother and sis in law did just that, she worked at a doctors office all day, then 3 or 4 nights a week took shifts waiting on tables. They used the money she made waiting tables for the wedding, my brother did the same thing, did his regular job (construction) during the day, then at night bartended--and they put the $$ he made tending bar towards the wedding.

If he can't afford his own place, then he has no bussiness proposing marriage to a lady.
A gentleman proposes to a woman when he is able to provide for a family, obvioulsy he is in no position for that if he doesn't make even enough money to support himself.
Sorry honey, but the thruth is that love doesn't pay the bills.
A man that has to live with granny ain't no catch.
If you want to marry this one, wait ontil he has a pot to piss on and a window to throw it out. Do not move in with him just so you struggle and live in sin.
Next time you write the word "God", please use a capital G.
Good luck

Look at it like this if you can overcome this tough situation that the both of you are encountering now before you get married , one it will just make your bond stronger and two you will know what it's going to be like while you are married. The number one cause for divorce is finances. God would not put you through anything he didn't thing that you could bare. Look what he put Job through and it just made him a stronger man for it. But your man does need to be able to take care of himself and support himself totally before you can deopend on him to take care and support you.

Satan attacks in many ways if he can't get to you, he'll get to him you are doing everything right do not allow satan to tempt you into to sin. you know what i notice you said stuff like paying your tithes and obeying God but theirs more you both have to build up your faith in him to know that if you read 1 Samuel's 17:47 THE BATTLE IS THE LORDS when we pray and i mean alot of praying and proclaim victory in jesus's name, satan's yoke is broken. Just stand still and let God do the battling he will work it out for you just trust him and pray on every matter that is before you and him he will give you the answers. and this is when Satan will try to confuse you but look for confirmation in the bible. Satan can not fight against that.. GOOD LUCK AND I'LL BE PRAYING FOR YOU ALSO!!

Just keep doing what you are doing. I know it sounds kind of hopeless, but y'all can do it. I'm sure of it. Besides, weddings don't have to cost a fortune to be absolutely beautiful.
I'll pray for you guys too that everything will work out just fine.

Why not have a small simple wedding? You can do something very nice for a reasonable price.
Why not have a ceremony with close family and friends and then serve cake and punch?

Love conquers ALL. Have you felt the intuition of God as you pray over this situation? If you are really meant to be together but finances are tough, can you compromise a cheaper wedding? This is love to sacrifice. God's wishes regardless. What is meant to be, pray it will be. Not your Will but His.
