For the past 15 yrs, I have been asking my wife to go out dancing and drinking with me, like on dates of us alone and the kiddos at in laws house. I WANT TO TAKE MY WIFE OUT TO MANY MANY PLACES, but she refuses to go out with me anywhere, so because of this I am extremely bored with her. She is so afraid of trying out new things and new experiences in life, when I am so open minded to just about anything there is in life in general. She does not like me for who I am. Just because I like to drink a little and have fun going out to some dance club.

My younger sister ( who's 18 ) is getting married and she asked me to explain to her how someone knows when they are truly with the one. I'm married and should be able to tell her this, but I was never really good at explaining things. Any advice??

My daughter is 13 years old. Her dad lives in New Mexico. She is supposed to go to her dad's over Christmas Break. She is trying out for Volleyball and was worried if she made it she would miss practice over the break. I talked to my ex-husband about this, he said he understood and he decided that she wouldn't come out over xmas and we agreed to work some extra time in over spring break. He even told my daughter this. She was relieved, she didn't want to leave home on Christmas. A couple of weeks ago, when he was half drunk and feeling sorry for himself, he called up and changed his mind. My daughter is very upset. I'm half tempted not to send her, and she is refusing to go. Any thoughts on how to handle this?

I am married to a very good man who doesn't hit me, yet I fell in love with another man (now BF) whom i thought loves me deeply but yet abused me since Aug 07. He told me he had been suffering from depression becoz of me, and has been cutting himself whenever he strikes me. I know I must leave this man but my heart is not strong & willing to, He doesn't talk to me with respect when he gets mad, and just 2 days ago, he striked me at my mouth but why am I still holding on ? I need to be freed. dont know how long this man will take to recover from his depression. He told me hes not normal and i should be around taking care of him, but i cant keep getting striked ? He said I dont know how to love someone..maybe yes...i dont know but I just have this fear inside me each time he hit me & I wonder when is the next ? WHen I wanted to end the r/s, he said I love myself more & wanted to end his life. The next moment, he talks to me in such a disrespectful manner...i wish i was dead.. HELP !

The judge ruled in my favor and ordered my husband to pay my lawyer fees. My lawyer wrote the order and it was signed by the judge that he reimburse me for her fees. So I am now left with trying to get him to do just that but he refuses.

Yes, I'm a virgin. Not because of religious reasons, not because I'm waiting for marriage (I'm not even sure I want to get married), mostly because I haven't gotten close to anyone that I would want to share my body with. And yet I still think about sex constantly. I... ehm... am still "in touch" with myself... but it's not enough. I also exercise, read, and do a host of other things to preoccupy myself, but to no avail.

Now, I'm beginning to think some wild meaningless sex will get it off my mind. Maybe I'm just repressed.

What are your thoughts?

I need some advice about what I could get my wife for Christmas.

She's never really cared about getting jewelry the whole time we have been together. I want to do something really special for her for Christmas and not just a simple gift. I want to do something very special for her that she won't forget.

I'd appriciate any suggestions you may have.

Yes that's right he has just left me our 1month old & our 2yo boy, well he has been gone since Friday, I haven't been able to stop crying, I feel so used :'( 3 YEARS I have done nothing but love him & all he has done is hurt me time & time again, I turned into a drunk for 4months that's how bad I was over this guy. We have 3kids, one past away.. born a sleeping angel at 26weeks. I have gained so much weight with him, have hardly any self respect left. He has another kid to another woman who he visits at her house with her in the house! His ex has called me every name in the book, harassed me for 3years, with the sickest of words, telling me how he hates me & how much he don't love me etc. & how they r still sleeping together. I feel like f*%*n sh*t & wanna scream!!!!!!!!!! I hate him soo much for leaving me like this, he is the one looking after our kids whilst I'm in hospital in two days! i'm having gastric bypass, thats how bad my weight is coz of depression, i have been threw hell=(

My husband of 8 years is drinking 2-3x a week..I know he is drunk, because he is funny and relaxed. Is this bad for my kids they are 5 and 6? They don't know he is drunk, but will this mess them up in the future. He is not violent or stupid..though I have asked him not to drink, he is hiding it and disrespecting my wishes. I just want to do what is best for the kids..He drinks around 7pm and it is at home..

Aren't their spouse supposed to be their No. 1 priority?

Pls. read this article from Dr. Laura:

http://www.drlaura.com/blog/2007/04/12/but-i-dont-feel-like-it

I think if women follow her advice, there will be lesser divorce and fewer kids suffering as a result.

Please, if you love your husband and your family, read the article of Dr. Laura .

Been divorced 10 years. Ex-wife not taking into consideration my thoughts/views of what school she should attend. Public versus Private. According to the marital settlement agreement, this should fall into a "major decision" and we both should agree upon this decision. What should I do? We have joint custody, with shared placement. 60/40 split of placement.

so i was on my bf's myspace and found messages back and fourth from his ex and him. from the messages you can tell she doesnt want him and the conversation was very simple but just the fact that he did this hurt me because he was telling her things he would never tell me. he also told her he would " try to keep in touch if messeges were the only way he could" and he did not add her as a friend. we have been in a relationship for 3 years and i wouldnt even know how to approch him with this. I just need some advice.

Should I visit mom for Christmas? I am pretty upset with her becuase she has this feud going on with my aunts and uncles and never in her life owns up to anything or takes responibity for anything, including it takes two to argue and she is at least 50 % responible for the feud. She has insisted on bad mouthing them and not seeing her as wrong to any degree in the situation. Her sister has made numerous attempts to mend fences and my mom never answers her calls or letters, but then complains to me that they dropped her. And yes the feud is stupid, its over a grudge she holds "She says they told her what to do all her life and she is sick of it." My opinion has never counted growing up but I think there were lots of times that if she had took their advice all of our lives would have been a lot better. She wants my hubby and I to visit at Christmas, but he is still mad that she no showed at our wedding. "not wrong on her part either" Her health is not the best but still? Doormat?

We both are in love with each other and it was something that just happened. We work with each other and both look out for one another. I caught my husband cheating about 6 years ago and have been alone until I met this one man. I always said I would never date a married man, so I guess that saying never say never is kind of true. Please don't pass judgement just make comments. When we are together we have alot of fun and the sex is also great...... We both think we are soul mates. At times we say no more we are going to end it, but then we both call one another and and the feeling goes away.
