Most answers seem to "REFLECT" wives as "chlidren-needing-care". They are not. Be reasonable, the American way is LIBERTY (thwarting mob-rule).
btw I'm not into it, I just know someone travelling away to do it.

I don't see anything wrong with it as long as you can afford them and provide a home for them...
After all King Solomon had 300 wives and 700 concubines.
I am one that believes in both polygamy and polyandry...

30 mother-in-laws and other in laws....but seriously, eastern culture is based on totally different mores and values. People came here to this country to practice their moral beliefs. The early Mormon Church preached polygamy, but they no longer endorse the system of many wives for 1 husband. So what I am saying is no...they should conform to our belief systems.

There isn't a problem with having 30 wives. If women were allowed to have 30 husbands. The problem is that it's not fair for women to share one man.

I can't think of any woman who would want to be one of 30 wives, nor a man who would want to try to keep that many women happy.
However, there are parts of Utah where many men do practice polygamy so not everyone feels the same way.

Well this is a free country. But "this" free country has boundaries which are laws. And there a certain things you can't do within those laws. Like polygamy and adultery.
So unfortunately, you can't have 30 wives.

It is sin. God created man and woman and He is the one that instituted marriage way back in the beginning of time. It's all recorded in Genesis. God's design is one man and one woman...married for as long as both of them live...or stay single and celibate. ANYTHING other that (including poligamy, divorce & remarriage etc.) this is SIN.

I'm 100% supportive of polygamy, but 30 spouses is just ludicrous.
I think a maximum of 4 spouses is very reasonable. It would be too difficult supporting any more than that as it would prove to be an emotional (and physical) strain on your relationship(s).
