Added info: I have paid my own attorney fees for this divorce I did not want.
My ex refused to comply with the agreements of the divorce. I made every attempt to do what the court ordered but found my ex had decided he didn't need to anything. My lawyer had no other option but to take him back to court.
The judge looked at signed documents, dates and court orders as to how this divorce was to be brought to an end and declared he had not complied. Let me tell you... the judge was not a happy man. It is for that proceeding only and what it cost me in lawyer fees that the judge ruled he had to pay my expenses. I want to get on with my life and end this. All that's left is this judgment. The judge ruled and he now owes my attorney and is again acting like he doesn't have to do anything.

My lawyer isn't stupid. She had the order written (even though I didn't agree) that she bill me and have my ex reimburse me. I paid her. The judge signed the order so I am left to get the money from my ex and if I have my lawyer go after it... it costs me even more.

If he is refusing .. then he is not obeying the court .. so he could be held in contempt.
Each State is different with their laws .. so I don't know what the law is in your State.
If he refuses to pay ... send him a registered letter - which the letter is also witnessed by others - and request that he pays you the money so ordered by the Judge, by a certain date, mailed to your attorney ... this will be proof of you trying to get your money ... if this does not work ... then ask your lawyer about taking another order to the Courts - showing that your ex is in contempt for the previous order .. and that he pay these expenses also .. and asking that your ex pay the whole amount by a certain date .. or be incontempt of Court .. and have a warrant put out for his arrest.
You may want to ask your attorney if this would be suitable.

Many of the problems you may be facing could be just the tip of the iceberg on what is really happening in your marriage. I dont mean to scare you but many problems when they either first show up or if they keep reoccurring could be just whats showing from a larger problem that either you or your spouse cannot even see. One of the only things you can do to help is to talk honestly and openly with each other in the marriage. If things become more serious more serious options need to be looked at as possibilities. I have a blog that has more information on some of what I've been writing about. If you feel like checking it out I would completly suggest it. Read here https://tr.im/nxDQV
Love is a choice that is made everyday when you wake up and every night when you go to sleep. Some days you may not feel the original feeling but love isnt a feeling or an emotion. Its an action a verb. Falling out of love may just mean you need to spice things up a little or that you were never in love in the first place. Don't just get out of a marriage just because you don't think you like the person anymore.

I have never heard of the other person paying lawyer fees. What kind of sense does that make? You lawyer was working for YOU!!! That would be like a man condemned to die by lethal injection paying the fees of the prosecuting attorney. You sure you even understand what happened or are you trying to get money from the man?

Have the court or your attorney enter a judgment against him. It will attach to anything he owns or will own in the future (real estate, for example). It will also be reported on his credit report. Find out what it would take to have his wages garnished. I'm surprised that your attorney isn't looking into this, as it's his money that's at stake here.

You're only shot at getting your ex back is to follow the right steps that will make her ask you to get back together. Learn here https://tr.im/AKiLB
Maybe if you broke up with her, then you might be able to be the one who brings up the subject of getting back together. But if you can do it without, it would be much better. But how do you get someone back without seeming desperate? In order to get your ex girlfriend attention, you have to show value without telegraphing your interest in her, while at the same time initiating interaction. So don't ignore your ex texts and calls when they break up with you. It screams that you are so devastated by the breakup that you can't even handle talking to her. You want to respond to her, but do it in the right way. You can even initiate communication if you do it in the right way. You have to maintain a strong frame of confidence, and show your ex girlfriend that your happiness isn't dependent on being with her

Hiring a lawyer for minor legal problems can be expensive, but there are websites like LawGuru, FindLaw and other places where you can get free legal advice. I found this website useful - http://www.uelp.org/freelegal.html
