Aren't their spouse supposed to be their No. 1 priority?
Pls. read this article from Dr. Laura:
http://www.drlaura.com/blog/2007/04/12/but-i-dont-feel-like-it
I think if women follow her advice, there will be lesser divorce and fewer kids suffering as a result.
Please, if you love your husband and your family, read the article of Dr. Laura .

I'm posting this because I think this is the primary reason men stray which ultimately lead to divorce.

Ok, editing so as not to generalize. Why can't MANY American women do more for their spouses?

Kathy--I guess women in other countries tend to nurture their men more.
Lost it--it's none of my business. I'm just asking coz I'm concerned.
Pure Evil--I admire you, this is not about you though. I wish more wives are like you.
Me-I agree
Maxwell-good for you, others are not as fortunate:(
GTO judge--Yes, I've read the article myself. Concerned about the divorce rate in America and the abundance of men straying because they don't get enough sex at home. Not bothering about your senseless comment.
Mrs. Duncan--I think that's reasonable.
Dixie--…Dr. Laura is trash? Is that the smartest thing you could say? That's quite ignorant!

Let me start by saying I think Dr. Laura really has a penis instead of a ********! That shemale is full of CRAP!
Most women I know do MORE for their husbands than they do for them, me included and I've been married over 25 freakin years!
Most and I do say MOST not all men are selfish horndogs and that is the reason there are so many divorces in America!
As for the person asking this question...if you were making your spouse YOUR #1 priority then your sorry tail wouldn't be on here asking this stupid question nor would you be reading trash like Dr. Penis er..I mean Laura!
***Bows*** and now I'll step down and click the X in the upper right corner, lol!

There are women that do everything that article says and more. And you know what some of there husband still cheat and they may get a divorce. Yes I do agree with some of what she said. But not all men are there for their wife not matter how much she does for him. Marriage is a two way street. In needs both people it to make it work.

I disagree completely with your premise. Marriage is a two-way street; husbands need to do their part just the same way as wives do. So why point the finger at wives only? Why isn't your question "why don't american SPOUSES do more for each other?"
Also, Dr. Laura is a right-wing zealot who rarely makes any sense.

what is it any of your business what I do. Men or women will stray because they are not happy for what ever reason. And people get divorced so much cause they give up to easily when the tough gets going. Also marriage is a two way street and men need to do their part as well.

My younger sister is an example of the "Princess" syndrome. As the youngest, 4 brothers in between her and me, she was the dotted on little baby. She has carried this role into adulthood, married a doctor and still acts like everyone "owes" her. She does nothing for anyone else, least of all her husband.

Oh really? So where is Dr. Laura's article on Why American Husband's can't do more for their spouses? She just assumes that the man is there for the wife in every way and holds up to each and every responsibility that he has...and that it is the woman's fault for him having wondering eyes....blah blah blah!!

i did plenty for my soon to be ex. it's his *** that worked nearly 20 hour days/7 days a week. i and the kids were never his #1 priority, and that is ultimately what broke the camel's back. it's a give and take, if you want to be #1, then the other needs to be your #1 as well, otherwise it's a waste of everyone's time.

I think if men could stop being horn dogs for a minute and do more around the house, then their wives wouldn't be as tired, so maybe she would feel like having "X".
