He knows enough to buy me something for my birthday/anniversary/holidays, but it's the same ol' thing every single time. It's like a knee-jerk reaction. He picks up the phone and orders flowers, not even roses, but carnations. He doesn't even think to have them sent somewhere that I can brag, they come to the house. And then that's it. That's it. Oh, except that he'll fish for compliments over and over and over again. It's not good enough that I tell him thanks and feign excitement. I've told him before that I need more from him. I need more romance, but every time he falls short. I'm really sad that he let my birthday pass with the same ol' crap. I don't want to speak to him. Am I over-reacting? What can I do?

I fell in love with a guy whose caracter was really attractive to me. I told him bout it but he said that he was in love with someother gurl. After awhile he said that he was in love with me also he said that he had forgotten that girl. I wanted to be with him forever and it was possible through marriage but he said many times that falling in love with me didn't mean that he wanted to marry me. I think when a man falls in love, it means that he needs and he wants to be with his beloved girl forever and if not, he is just pretending love. He said that he couldn't marry me because he wanted to continue his education and never accepted me to wait for him. Now i've got married with someother man; and he is still persisting on loving me so that i some times decide to comeback to him but with no hope. I think that if i leave my current marriage, he would say "oh if I said i loved u it didn't mean that i wanted to be with u why did u return to me then?" I don't Know wut kind of love it is!!!

My back ground: I had an affair after 24 years of marriage and my then 11 year old caught me and informed his father!

I married the man I was having the affair with after my 1st husband divorced me!
nearly 3 years later my 2nd marriage is in final stages of divorce and to this day my son wont even talk to me, visit me, send all the letter, or presents I mail him back to me!
As stated above I have no contact with my son because my Ex. got full custody and my son wont accept what I did and calls me horrible names!

I'm 51 now and sadly have nothing in my life worth having so in my case yes I did put to much value in SEX and paid the price!
I learned that lesson and lost everything!

My question to you is this; DO we place to much VALUE on SEX in our society instead of looking at other things that offer us more full lives?

Please, Please learn from my mistakes it difficult to live with the sham of destroying your childs trust in you.

Hi My wife and I have been married for 6 months. Before the marriage we been having issues. I migrated to a new country and we were apart for 1 year. She then came to the country and we got married in april 2007 and our marriage has been a nightmare. I thought she was the one for me but then after a couple months we started to have serious problems...well they were always there but I thought I could work it out. I ended up in the hospital this past week for mental health issues. As it turned out I was angry at my wife and my marriage, and started having OCD symptoms I was really scared and still am. She is a christian and so am I but she doesn't make me happy anymore. I think about college, my church, and having children and I don't see it happening at all. My mother warned me before but thought I was right, I thought she was perfect but her personality is not compatible with me at all! She doesn't know how to make jokes and I feel like she is a sponge that just listens to me all day long and acts only, she doesn't respond spontaneously, everything has to be planned out for her..everything! We were both born september, she was born on the 16th and I was born on the 1st she love sex but that's not all. My family has a problem with her they think she doesn't fit in and she feels that way too. I have negotiated a lot, now I am exhausted, she still thinks we can work..I am 23 and she is 26 is it worth it?

My brother had a gf and then made her his fiance. Well after thay were gonna get married she flipped and yelled at his kid for moving 4 little costers that were in a corner(all she did was lay them out in a pattern) well anyway he broke up with her because she called his kids crack heads. well then she called him and said the only reason our parens r still together is beacause we have alot of money(she only knows we have lots of it cause i go to a private school) then she called him a cuss word and just said HORRIBLE things. My husband and I both work 9-5 jobs but I do all the housework except laundry. He only does the laundry because I hate it. How can I get him to do more of the household chores without being drastic? I'll take any advice because I've tried many things but to no avail.

My boyfriend and I have been together for more then three years. We have a house together and we have a baby on the way. He has told be that he will marry me but i get the feeling that he is not going to. His family( including his mother) has said that he not he marrying type. That if has not already done it then he most like will not. I know that he feels safe because he knows how much I love him and that I want to be with him for the rest of our lives. He tells me that it because we do not have the money, but i think that he scared of marriage. He think that marriage is a wasted. Because more then half of the world is divorce. My husband and I have been married 1 year. We are 12 weeks pregnant. I've been soo exhausted every night that i've been going to bed early i could sleep through a hurricane. My butt has been burning lately and I really didn't think much about it. Well last night i went to sleep and when i woke up my husband was having anal with me. I didn't say anything because i thought surely not but then he finished and got up and went downstairs. I got soo mad. When i confronted him about it. He said i led him on. We've been married for a year. Our son got really sick last year so we didnt have a Christmas. We've financially struggled ever since but still I managed to pull off a nice valentine's gift, father's day gift and I got nothing for either mother's day or my birthday. Today is his birthday and I'm really broke since last weekend was our wedding anniversary and we went out of town. Is it wrong that I dont feel bad since he never bought me anything?

my husband and i had moved to the city approx. 1 year ago
when we moved i got a job and stayed with it, he had jobs but let them go. then he moved himself back where we came from and left me behind for 6 mos. he got a job and work it for one month and came back to me now he can't seem to get a job at all and he stays home in our apt. and is going crazy,he puts alot of stress on me and no matter how i try to make him happy or comfortable he still vents at me. mind you i understand by not working or staying home. now he wants to go back where we came from again after leaving the job there and leave me again. he says when he finds a job he will send for me. i don't mind going back,which i was going to go back before he came back to me after the 6 months but he said to stay and get an apt so i did. now he wants to go back.

Married for one year, with a lot of happy days and some not so happy.Started working for my boss, an articulate elegant man double my age. His physical attributes do not excite me at all---short, balding, early signs of a pot belly, etc. Why have I suddenly become attracted to him? At first, any physical contact or him flirting with me didn't impress me, in fact I was almost repelled. I had terrible thoughts of him fantasizing about me and still wish he wouldn't, but all of a sudden I started enjoying his attention. I love it when he looks at me a little too long, or winks at me, or compliments me. His cologne turns me on. She has 3kids, 6years old thats not for her husband a 1 and some months almost 2 and a 7month old. Now she having another baby this will make baby #4. She said she was embrassed to tell me she was having another baby so soon but her husband told her dont worry about what people think because they are married. hubby and I split and I went on a date with a guy at work. Of course, there was a kiss good night. well, hubby and I are back together and he is obsessed with knowing everything there is to know about the other guy. every day he comes home with something new to ask me. He also wants this guys phone number to hunt him down. its been a year since this happened and he's still on it! we were 1 day away from filing for divorce, so why is my husband blaming me for cheating on him? and why do I have to suffer every day for it?
