Bring up the name of the person you had an affair with to your spouse?

Just to bring it up out of the blue.

You both just watched a movie and were talking about it and they mention a witty comment and give their ex-lover credit for it. For example: Bob used to say "blah blah blah"

If the spouse alread knew that the two of you had an affair wouldn't this be putting salt in an open wound?

So why the heck bring up your own dirty laundry?

That show decision house was on TV yesterday and I felt bad for the couple because they need real couple councling. 11 years married for 3 and have three year old twin girls. They seem to love each other, and it was the usual issue she hates his friends...I can agree,,,in fact until I figured out how to get rid of his friends life was terrible...once they got into relationships it worked out itself!

Do I need to carry a hammer to beat some sense into him?

My husband is obsessed with the house being clean. He will find things for himself to do and then get all pissed off at me after he does them because I didnt. I work full time I have a 19 month daughter and Iam only 23, I clean but not he way he wantes me too. I dont understand why something like a clean house could cause him to want to ruin our family. I sugessted a chore chart and he said he is not my dad and does not need to make me a list. I dont see my daughter as much as I want to and I dont want to spend my whole night cleaning and not spend time with her. I dont know what to do, I am not the cleanest person in the world and I dont see why we can just keep the place looking ok during the week and on the weekend clean it together really good. I dont think it is worth a divorce especially since we have a daughter. I honestly think he doesnt really love me, or why would he want to divorce me over something so trivial. I need some advise. family and love are more important

My bf and I recently broke up. He's 24, I'm 23. The Dean of our law school got involved because we had a loud fight outdoors. She's made both of sign a promise that we won't speak for a year. I really can't imagine not speaking to the person who was my best friend for an entire year. I feel that what the Dean is making us do is ridiculous and pointless. At any rate, I have to comply. How can I not speak to someone I love, care about, and see in class everyday?

My wife is great, but I think it is time to do something about one of her "cute" traits. A lot of times she says she is going to clean, do laundry or some other sort of household duty. She starts it, but midway she "lazes-out" and doesn't finish. I would have to do it at a different time than her, but still, I would be happy to take over. Not to sound mean, it would be rather advantageous for me because it frequently becomes such a clutter. So, what do you think? Will it hurt her feelings; if not how can I ask her if it is alright to do this without causing a scene. Thanks!

we have been together for 5 months, and agreed to be exclusive. I found out he was setting up a meeting with another girl on the internet so I broke up with him immediately. He said he truely loves me and did want a life with me and he didnt plan to cheat on me, he was concerned our relationship may not last long(several reasons). He wouldnt purse another relationship nor had sex while we were together. He said still what he did was wrong and he was sorry for hurting me. He didnt ask me to take him back but took down his profile and said he was going to be single for a while and do some serious self-evaluation.
today I found out Im pregnant, I havent told him yet.
do you feel think he said is sincere? should I keep this child? Im 26, he is 35

My husband and I have been going through many difficulties as you can tell if you read my old posts. We rarely if ever had sex and he showed no attraction to me whatsoever. No kissing, hugging or showing any attention of that kind. When he almost loses me and I start to agree with seperation/divorce he becomes attentive, loving, and kisses me like he hasnt since before we got married. He talks about sex more often and how much he loves and misses me, etc...
Is this normal? I didnt feel loved, desired or cared for at all for a long time. We were like roommates. Its becoming that way again and although I ask him to lay beside me, or hold me, or just hug me or kiss my cheek he makes excuses and finds reasons not too. I love this man, and I crave just some small bit of show of love and appreciation but it never comes. We have been married a year and a half. Will it ever change? Why does it take my leaving for him to want me and then when he has me again he quits wanting me again?

I find the living arrangements that some couples have kind of strange. I don't understand why 2 so called "happily" married people would want to live 2 separate lives...on opposite sides of town. I don't know about you, but I love having my husband around. Yeah he's annoying at times, and I may be to him, but I would never even think about living in separate places. Would you ever consider this arrangement just so you could have your own "space"?

When out in public, I might see an attractive woman and ask my husband what he thinks of her. He might see some studly dude and ask me if I think he's cute.

I know, sounds dumb, but we have fun with it.

It's even more fun on highway trips to flirt with people in other cars. Guys never know what to think when I smile at them, and girls usually are confused about my husband, since they see me sitting next to them.

Anyone else play games like this?

My wife loves me. She is a wonderful person, but after three years of marriage, I don't feel the same way about her. I would miss not being around her anymore, but I find so many other women more enticing. I don't want to have an affair and come back to her. I'd rather end things and figure myself out, figure my priorities again. What would you suggest I do? What should I think about?

(no kids)

He took our daughters on holiday to his home for 2 weeks and while they were with him he sent me a text saying that he had got a new girlfriend. The text read that he didnt want to introduce the girls to his new girlfriend as he didnt feel the time was right and there feelings were his prority so he was not going to see her for the duration of their stay, fair enough I thought, anyway they came back last night and I have learnt that they spent the best part of 2 weeks with this lady and her son, but that isn't what has annoyed me, he has told my eldest daughter not to tell me. My daughter can't keep a secret from me I thought he would have known that of her by now, but I can't say anything to him now and I am livid. What would you do, should i just leave it.

I have a 3 year old daughter. 95% custody to her mom and 5% to me. There is not a schedule of days that I have with my daughter because I worked out of town for long periods of time. sad to say I have been late on my child support for a couple of months, bad luck, and bad times. My daughter told her mom’s new boy friend she hates him. I am being accused of brain washing my daughter. I feel there is something else like her scared my daughter telling me or my mother something that happend and she is scard what I would do. She tells me the only way I can see my daughter is If I am supervised by her this goes for my family as well. She is now not letting me see my daughter verbally and then yesterday physically. I have my rights to see her right? Without court order she is in the wrong right. I need a lawyer but can not afford one at this time. Should I call and file a report with police for proof to the court? How should I react?

I have been married for four months, I married my best friend after he asked me to marry him eight times because I honestly thought it would be great for our kids and I knew how lonely he was since his wife died. I am still in love with my ex husband who I share an 18 month old baby with, my husband knew this before we got married. In fact the night before our wedding I was crying in his arms telling him I didn't think I was ready because I was still in love with my ex. He convinced me that our new life together would be best for everyone and that we would get through this because of our faith in God and love for eachother's family. Our family has blended well, our children are happy and my husband is happy. I am not! I don't want to be selfish but I love my ex even after the things he did to me in the past and our son doesnt even know him. Now he wants me to leave my husband and move out of state to be with him, would this be best for our baby? He is sober now

Do you think a spouse who spends a lot of her free time in chatrooms is purely doing this for fun or do you think there would be other motives behind this ?

I love her for who she is, but she sometimes seems to feel down on herself because she "wants to be able to wear what other women can". I love her with all my heart, and I tell her constantly that she is perfect just as she is. I just want to come up with creative ways to make her feel more "womanly".

My husband cheated on me. I can't get over it but, I cn't stop loving him and doing things for him. He saved my life 6 years ago but, now it feels like he is killing my inside. I think I love him because he saved me but, I really need to stop loving him. So, how does that happen because I really need to move on without him in my life.

My divorce was final in Feb.2007 I settled with split custody.
He has not paid any child support since 2005 when it was issued. I am scared to press it because of how he is. He was abusive during our marriage in every way even after. I ended up with both children in 2006 because he treid to kill himself in front of our 11 yr old. Right now his own mother is helping me support the kids but we are all scared to make him mad because of what he could do if he gets angry. He was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder and is schizophrenic. He is on medication but has not been taking it. My girls are tired of all of this too but do not want to hurt his feelings. The family is scared to do anything to make him mad. How do we get him to be a real father and support his kids and for me to get full custody without causing a major breakdown.
