My wife is great, but I think it is time to do something about one of her "cute" traits. A lot of times she says she is going to clean, do laundry or some other sort of household duty. She starts it, but midway she "lazes-out" and doesn't finish. I would have to do it at a different time than her, but still, I would be happy to take over. Not to sound mean, it would be rather advantageous for me because it frequently becomes such a clutter. So, what do you think? Will it hurt her feelings; if not how can I ask her if it is alright to do this without causing a scene. Thanks!

Great idea...you take over the duties.

My suggesting is to approach it this way...tell her that you know that she's tired and you want to be a good husband and help her, so you'd like to take responsibility of what ever chore you want to do.

She will love you for it.

I don't think she would mind you helping out....Maybe she's tired from cleaning that is why she lazes out...Don't think about her feeling offended....You can ask her and I'm sure you both can probably work together with the household chores....

I think the "lazing" out is a clear intentional signal from her that she is expecting your contribution at that very instant. I therefore doubt you will be intruding on her territorial rights regarding chores.

I SERIOUSLY doubt that your wife is going to start complaining about you helping out more around the house. Far from it, my man, she'll probably be thrilled to death. Nothing turns my wife on like the sound of me running the vacuum cleaner ...

just simply offer to do more because you think that you should help more. Honesty is a good thing but it never hurts to kindof change some words around as long as it is for a good reason

What do you care if it hurts her feelings, it's better than living in filth. Try doing it together. You sound like a good guy to do that for her.
