We're not married. But we have a 5 month old daugther together. I dont care about anything but making sure she stays with me if worse comes to worse. The apartment we live in is in my name, although small. I dont smoke and drink rarely and if I do drink, I'm out with adults, and not while she's in my care. I work full time. We have a babysitter during the day who stays with her. I make more money than him (not much but still). I'm stable and have no criminal history whatsoever. I do have financial problems from the past but, my daughter will always be well taken care of.
So my question is, will I automatically be granted full custody of my baby if we split up? Losing her would be like losing my life and it scares me to death. She is the best thing that ever happened to me.
Btw, I work a 9-5, monday through friday job. No crazy schedules. I'm not a stripper or anything like that..lol I'm in sales. Can you tell me your take on what might happen if he tries to pull something?

There are so many questions on here about woman affraid that there ex is going to take away there childsupport because the child is 18 or would rather live with the ex. Isnt it unfair to ask that question? what about the ex that has been paying that child support for 18+ years? where is there break? If they can not afford to support the child with the child support and there carreer why should the child live with that parent? then when the children do reach of age for a car or a college fund there is no money for that child. why should they be so worried about the child support stopping when the child would be happier to live with the other parent? wouldnt that be enough?

My soon to be X Wife screwed me over again.Three years ago she cheated on me with a guy for a year. After many fights and counseling etc we stayed together. Then in 06' I moved out for 5 months. She didnt love me etc. At the last minute she wanted to stay together and work on us. Our Townhouse had been sold so we had to quickly buy a house up the street. We wanted to keep our Daughter in the same school. Well this past August she left. She said it was a mistake and all the same crap in March but we agreed to stay until my mom could sell her house and move in with me. This would keep my Daughter in the same school etc. She broke that deal. Last week I found out she had been seeing a guy the entire time since we had been separated. It was all a lie because she didnt know where to go once the townhome sold. Of course the neighbors knew and told me the truth. She owned up to it when I confronted her. No guilt no nothing. Cold. Its been 11 years of marriage for nothing. It hurts so damn bad

I was dating a separated man & I recently broke it off w/ him until divorce b/c it had been 7 months & they've STILL not filed for divorce (he lives in his own place but a lot of his stuff & his dogs are still at their house where she's living).

He keeps asking me questions like "Will you date me after I get divorced?" "Have your feelings for me changed?" "Will you tell me if they do?" "Will you date other guys until I'm divorced"?

I can't tell if these questions are b/c he's insecure & lonely & wants to make sure I still love him, or if they mean he wouldn't be getting divorced if I weren't in the picture. I understood that it was mutual but now she doesn't want divorce so if there's any chance he may not want divorce, I don't want to be in the way even though I still have feelings for him & have no desire to date other guys right now. Why do you think he is asking these questions? How should I answer them to make sure he would be getting divorced with or w/out me? Thanks.

How possible do you think it is that he will eventually leave ME for another woman?

My husband constantly wants to have deep, meaningful, conversations. But, it's getting old! I don't like to spend all my free time discussing deep inner thoughts. I want to relax and not have to think so much. He says its his way of gaining trust in me, and it gives him confidence. But it wears me out! Plus, I get in trouble if I don't want to talk, or if what comes out of my mouth isn't what he wants to hear! I'm so frusterated!!!!!!!!

On Saturday, my bf and I got into a huge fight that involved us screaming at each other outside (he's 24, I'm 23). Long story short, someone called campus police to quiet us down, and he broke up with me the next morning. He said that he still loved me and wants to remain friends. Well, last night, I received an e-mail from him saying, "I don't want to talk this week. We are not going to remain friends. I would appreciate it if you would leave me alone, and I promise to do the same." This is very hurtful coming from the guy who last week was asking me to tell him what kind of engagement ring I want (we've been dating for over a year). At any rate, I haven't tried to contact him or talk to him since Sunday.

Do you think he'll ever talk to me again? Do you think we'll ever get back together?

We have broken up once before over a similar incident (big fight, he dumped me), but I got an e-mail from him wanting me back over the summer. What do you think?

I mean, shouldn't you take that to be a sign that your marriage isn't supposed to be about children, as many of them are?

I would think couples facing infertility would realize they need to focus on other areas and grow their relationship based on those things. Not tear it apart based on what you can't do.

I'm asking this question in reaction to another one posted on here recently. Someone said she considered leaving her husband when she found out he was infertile! Yikes-there is no lemon law on spouses! :)

My husband is a-ok EXCEPT he smokes weed every now and then, almost once/twice a day at times.

It really pisses me off because he said he would stop before we had any kids (we just had a baby) and before we moved into our new house.

But he hasn't...

This is his only thing I do not agree with- I am willing to get a divorce but am not sure if it would be wise at this point...

Advice?

I have been with my boyfriend for 3 years, and we have lived together for 2 years. We have seperate bedrooms. We have our own beds, closets, bedroom furniture, and personal possessions. This is something that works for us. We are people that like our space. We still sleep together - usually in my room. Only occasionally, like when one of us is sick, or if one of us has to get up super-early; do we sleep seperately.

The thing is, when our friends come over and notice this, we get a lot of judgement. People think we are completely weird, and don't get along or something, which is not at all true. We get along great, and we think it's because we give each other the space we desire. We don't constantly need to be with each other all the time. We think this is what makes our relationship great.

My question is: Do any of you have seperate bedrooms? If you don't, would you if you could? Or do you think our situation is bizarre the way our friends do?

Me and my girlfriend have been together for the last 2 1/2 years. Granted our relationship hasn't been perfect and I fault myself way more than I fault her. Well last week she decided to end it and just be friends. I'm totally crushed, I don't want to eat anything I'm having trouble sleeping and this is all I can think about. However, she is still spending some time with me or will still talk to me on the phone, for instance tonight were suppose to walk the lake, Friday we'll have lunch, and Saturday I'm going to a wedding with her, and she's going to a game with me. She says she has no interest in me and her right now, and were just going to be friends. If she only wanted to be just friends would she be spending this much time with me right now or even though she denys it, is she giving me the opportunity to show her I do still care about her, and that I want this to work. I really want me and her to get back together, but I just can't tell from these mixed signs what she wants.

My wife and I have been together for about a year now, the relationship started off on the wrong foot. A month into the relationship, she tells me that my boss (who is married) was her ex, who is also her boss... This made my work environment very uncomfortable but it also opened up my eyes about his behaviour towards her. I always thought he was very affectionate towards her, yet knowing what I now know. My perception became clearer, he acted that way because he was still interested in her. I mean, if he was married and they had a relationship, why would he respect ours. He has constantly been flirting with her, tapping her nose with paper, pushing her, always staring at her, and he even walks behind her computer to see who she's emailing.

Also, it isn't just him, she told me 4 to 5 months into the relationship that she still had feelings for him. She answered a Yahoo! question stating that she didn't know what love meant up until a couple of years ago, which was the time that she

I'm just wondering how often this happens in today's world...

How many couples let their significant other have some 'me time' after work or on the weekends?

What is your family situation? Such as no kids, 3 kids...
How long have ya'll been married?
Do you wish you would have it different... meaning that if your spouse goes out by themselves, do you wish they would stay home and do things with yourself & kids OR if they don't go out, do you wish they would get out every once in a while?

How do you think it affects the relationship?

How do you get your wife to fall back in love?
We've grown comfortable in our relationship. So much so that she never leaves me notes anymore. She never looks for sex.
She plans activities that never involve just she & I.
If I didn't talk to her for an entire day I doubt she'd raise a fuss.
What's left to try?

I need a companion so bad it hurts. I don't want another woman but I can't make her show more care.
Am I stuck in this situation for the rest of my life?
How many of you feel the same?
Please tell me I'm not alone.

ok...my wife and i seperated two months ago. she was the one that wanted it, she said that she wasn't in love with me anymore and wanted time to think. this completely tore me apart, because her and my daughter are all that i ever wanted in my life. over that time, we hugged and kissed each other a few times, so i thought that we were making progress in saving our marriage. but as it turned out we were not. about 3 wks ago, she told me that we were not going to get back together because we weren't right for each other, but she wanted to remain friends. now this really hurt me, and i acted like a real prick for a few days towards her, but i realized that i need to remain civil towards her for my daughter's sake, so i agreed to try and remain friends with her.
now i realized that i made some mistakes in our marriage, and i apologized so many times to her for them in the first two months of the seperation...i loved her so much, and i guess i always will in some way.

i know most men fantasize about girl/girl action...my husband included. now, i am not willing to engage in a threesome because it would hurt me too much as i am already insecure enough as it is. now, he has enough sence not to ask me for one but i know that if i voluntereed he would be all about it. so, i now feel like im not enough for him and even though i've always been extremely sexual and open minded when it comes to everything else...now i've pretty much lost interest in sex because i feel like i'll never be able to satisfy him on my own...and he'll always feel like he's missing out on something. this is really killing me and i have no idea what to do. i mean, i guess i can just accept that i'll never be enough or leave him so he can feel free to have as crazy and fulfilling a sex life as the men in the porn's he watches does. men, do you have any advice?

My daughter has a trial before court date in a couple of weeks.

Her "new" lawyer lied and told her the judge had ordered her to mediation (there is no such order, not signed and not on file).

She only has enough money for the actual trial itself and not the additional $5,000 for a full day of mediation.

If there's no signed order, I don't want her to agree to mediation.

Questions:

1. If, at the trial, the judge actually DOES order mediation, can't her lawyer plea Financial Hardship as a reason why my daughter can't goto mediation?

2. If the judge doesn't accept Financial Hardship, can't her lawyer demand that all mediation costs be paid by her to-be-Ex ??

3. Is there any other acceptable way for her or her lawyer to get out of going to mediation ??

Thanks for your help.
