I'm christian, and even I believe that they should be allowed to marry. God wont cast people into hell for loving someone. If they're a good person, who the f*ck cares what gender they choose to marry?!

Marriage is a legal contract between two parties that carries with it certain rights and certain responsibilities. In terms of the legal issues, it is absolutely discrimination that would bar any two parties from entering into such an agreement... and before anyone brings up crazy combinations, let's remember that one must be a human adult to be legally recognized, and enter into such a contract. So, from a point of "should it be legalized," there really is not argument against... we do not say "Wait, a man cannot buy a car from another man, that's just wrong! A man can only buy a car from a woman!"
Where the debate comes is in regard to the supposed moral and religious implications. Personally, I do not find it moral to deny rights to others, but obviously others feel differently for a number of reasons.
On a religious basis it makes sense that a church would choose not to recongnize a union as we already have this in the case of religions that do not recognize divorce... but such would have no bearing on the legality.

Why shouldn't gay people get to share all the marital bliss that is detailed on this post?
I say let them share the joy as well.
On a more inquisitive note,
There are three Adam and Steve remarks on this post.
Has that become some kind of quick retort that you've been taught to come back with to trivialize this subject.
As for religious objections, I believe that one comment which could be attributed to this subject in over a thousand pages do not detail what God's intent may be. There are hundreds of comments regarding love, forgiveness, and care for the poor. Why is the preponderance of this information so easy to ignore yet one anti homosexual remark in the old testament so often invoked. I think this whole subject needs to come with a little less hypocrisy.

Yes, I think they should be able to marry. Marriage is a legal certificate which binds two people together in the eyes of the State, allows them to claim an extra tax deduction, makes sure that person is the emergency contact and medical proxy in case of emergency. It would also allow for the same-sex spouse to be an heir in case the other one were to die.
I think its rather ignorant of people who don't want to legalize same-sex marriage based on what the Bible says. I believe in a separation of church and state, I think its unconstitutional to not allow same-sex marriage!

I say... yes, why not. People use to say that, people should not marry outside their race and in most states it was illegal and immoral. But look at the world now. Though some closed minded people will always have negative opinions about anything that "they" think is not so called normal.

I agree with the good DR on this one ........ NO, NO . NO!!!
The bible may not have an abundance of references to the "gay life style" , but it sure never says anything about a "guy " marriage. It's always in the context of a Man AND a Woman.
