Did you date before marrying your spouse?

Were you engaged before getting hitched?

And how long has it been since you wedded?

My husband is stubborn and selfish. He refuses counseling, saying "No one is going to change me". He has a lot of anger issues because his father used to beat him up when he was little. He also has an eating problem, meaning he will stuff himself full of food whenever he feels insecure of afraid. He gets fatter and fatter. He only wants to watch TV, eat and play video games. He never goes out with me or talks to me, yet when I suggest separating, he says he'd rather see me dead. What advice does anyone have on what to do? I am sick of it. We've been married almost 2 years with a baby. He changed after we got married. Please do not make fun, only serious responses.

Well first of all I left the US to marry my british Husband. And I left EVERYTHING behind. So I get here and the second I'm able to get a job he starts badgering me about it. All I hear is have you put your cv in here here or there? Well I find this job I really liked that had a prospect of sending me to college to be a forensic nurse... Well he didn't want that. All I heard was its a **** job, it doesn't pay good blah blah. So I turned down the job I really wanted and then another I wanted because I thought I'd compromise. Well I got a job interview to be a secretary just like he wanted and he gets home and I'm soo excited. And I tell him and he sneers at me "well I wouldn't get too excited" ...

And I just feel like I've given everything I have and for what? There's nothing else left ... I'm absolutely hurt and I don't know what to do ... I want to leave but I have no where to go so thats useless ... I just dunno what to do anymore. Nothing seems to be good enough.

He's a great cook and I know he would love more kitchen gadgets, but I feel like that's not very sentimental either. Any good ideas of what I could get my boyfriend for our 2yr anniversary? The only sport he watches is soccer and he likes sci-fi shows and movies. I don't want to get anything too mushy, but I don't want to get anything too practical or generic either. Any good suggestions? Thanks!

My baby's father and I were talking on the phone a couple minutes ago and we began talking about well me being pregnant. I asked him, out of all people why did he think I was the one that got pregnant for him....I expected him to say something like "Because this is what God wanted" or something positive......instead he said "Because you're the only one who wasn't on birth control" WTF!!!! that response made me so freaking mad. And we just hung up the phone after that. Am I wrong for being this mad?

I cheated on him (after he did a number of equally bad things to me - he wasn't innocent either) I was planning on leaving but stayed and later on I confessed.
He told me he'd give me a 2nd chance, as I'd forgiven him for the things he'd done. We went from there and tried to start over.
Now, though, and it's been happening for a while... everytime he's upset in the leastbit or mad about anything (even if it has nothing to do with me) he brings it up, throws it in my face, uses it against me and ALWAYS brings up divorce.
I'm sick of the threats - they can come at any time. We can be 100% happy for months and then out of nowhere I'm forced to relive the past all over again!
How many times is someone supposed to be re-punished for something she did so long ago and would never ever do again? What's the point of changing if it's not good enough?
He knows I'm a totally different person, he knows I'm loyal and devoted and in love... and he uses it to bring me down.
What should I do?

If you leave a marriage, what do you do next. Do you have to be present for a divorce what happens if you don't show.

My boyfriend has been gone often for his job and I've been complaining about not seeing him. I wanted to just spend time with him yesterday.

He called on his way out of the office and asked if I still wanted to do something. He said that he was thinking about going to his ex-wife and his house to mow the yard. (this has been an ongoing argument).
Him: If you want me to come home I will
Me: I want you to do whatever you want to do
Him: Why can't you just tell me the truth?
Me: I want you to do whatever you want to do
Him: This may be the only chance I get for awhile
Me: Just go mow the yard
Him: Are you going to be mad?
Me: Does it matter how I feel?

I know, it's another stupid arguement, but I don't understand it.

I am a good looking man. I have my weaknesses, don't get me wrong. But at 47, I'm not going to change. I'm open and vulnerable. I'm a good lover. But it seems the more I give, the more disappointed with me she is. What the heck are women looking for???

I mean every penny is kept track of and shown how it was used for the best interest of hte child.
I know of countless stories of how child support money is miss used by the custodial parent.

I had a co-worker who would plan trips around when she would get the child support check. This same person would then also nickle and dime the father to pay for everything. From how I saw things the child never received ANY of the extra stuff. For example my son went to the same school as her child and she called up her ex to pay $50 for a $19 yeak book and then I found out the kid never got the year book either.

Wouldn't be audited ever six months at least put a damper on this sort of wrong doing?

My previous GF was tall and had nice body. Although she expressed she loved me, she was kind of arrogant and wasn't much nice to me. Despite I loved her I broke up as we had so many arguments.

Lately I've been with a girl who is not very thin or pretty but is very kind and sensible. However I am not very sexually attracted to her.

I am 33 and looking for someone to settle with. I know both of them want to marry me. I have a dilemma which girl is the best to marry to?

Should I continue with my current girlfriend so It could grow my feelings towards her?

my husband and i have a great relationship, wonderful daughter, nice house, cars, and way to many animals. im happy and content in our life. my husband on the other hand is pushing for a 2nd child. the prob being he has not given up any of his fun or extra stuff. i on the other hand have happily given up things like getting my hair and nails done monthly, clothes shopping, tanning etc. my husband buys what he wants when he wants, such as appliances, furniture (that we dont need) season tickets to sporting events, weekly lunches with his friends, he even picked up and went to florida for a long weekend with his buddy. i work steady days he works swings so he is only there in the morn and night every 3 weeks other than that its me taking care of daughter and 7 dogs. i dont feel i can handle another child. question is if we have another child does it get way harder everyone says it will all come together financially and emotionally but does it?

Divorced was signed by the judge in Idaho on the 4th. I was married in Utah on the 5th. Divorced was filed with Idaho Clerk of Court on the 7th. Apears to be some question as to the legality of the marriage.

If a man is paying child support, isn't that money for the child?
Why would an ex-wife then ask to pay the husband to pay for even more stuff? Isn't she supposed to manage the money the ex-husband gives her plus spend some of her own on the child?
Example: Man pays child support and the ex-wife calls up the ex-husband to pay for years books and school supplies and uniforms.
P.S.
This example came from the Dr. Phil show

Okay. Im an old flame..so to speak.. of a person who got a divorced... about 9 months ago. He's over his marriage now, but she still haunts his mind. So in order to be fair to me he is moving away approx. 10 hours to start his life.. get a house, has a nice job offering, and be fair to me. Then when he clears his head, start a relationship again w/ me. TRUST me we are in love.... I just wanted to know .... is it normal.... when you end a marrriage you REALLY wanted to work out. To not want to make the same mistake again so you might step away from the world.... and breath figure out stuff on your own.... Just want to know that it has happened b4 to someone .. and that I will still have a good chance with my love if it is meant to be.

An old flame, whom I haven't seen him in about a year, sees me jogging down the street. He stops, we talk for awhile then he says its getting dark you shouldn't be out here. He offers to take me home which was only about a mile up the road. He knows I live with someone, but he deliberately takes the long way and kept me with him for an hour. What's up with that?
