He's a great cook and I know he would love more kitchen gadgets, but I feel like that's not very sentimental either. Any good ideas of what I could get my boyfriend for our 2yr anniversary? The only sport he watches is soccer and he likes sci-fi shows and movies. I don't want to get anything too mushy, but I don't want to get anything too practical or generic either. Any good suggestions? Thanks!

you might get him some special and exotic cook book? Romantic dinner cook book? look them all up in Amazon, you'd be surprised how many different ones exist.
also a nice sport watch, Swatch or so is a nice, practical present and by wearing it often he will be reminded of you and the reason you gave it to him. they are also not that expensive.
good luck and congratulations

Get a wicker basket. Cover it with black and orange velvet or felt on the inside. Fill it with orange flowers (find out from a florist nearby what flowers are in season), his favorite candy, and try looking at: www@scifi.com. A website might have good sci-fi packages to buy for him. Put that in the basket with his favorite cologne and snack food. Don't put the snack food too close to the cologne: They will "join together" so that the food tastes like the cologne, if you do. No man would turn down tickets to a very important sports event or tickets for two for a weekend in Vegas. If you decide on the latter, throw in some spending money and divide the winnings (you helped throw in the lute: You deserve half).

Cook him a great dinner. Then before he gets home, get your hair and make up all done and put on lots of his favorite perfume. Then slip into a pair of black high heeled open toe pumps, and wear nothing else except a short apron.

Be waiting at the door for him. Undress him and give him some good lovin, but don;t let him finish, till after dinner and he cleans up--with your help.

If he doesn't propose to you within a week, dump him. Two years is long enough.

The traditional gift is cotton. That is boring! Why not get him the first season of Stargate, or Stargate Atlantis or any other Sci-Fi shows. Unless you can afford to get the whole series for him. If you get him one season, then you will always have a gift to get him until you finish the series. I did this with the Babylon 5 series for my hubby. Now I am getting him the Stargate series. He got me the Highlander series.

Make sure to get him something romantic to go with it too. Like a nice dinner for two, maybe a weekend at the beach etc....

Good luck!

Well try to get him something that you know he will like. If he likes cooking stuff it may seem like a silly gift to you but it could make him really happy. Maybe a recipe book? http://www.cooking.com/products/shcollection.asp?CollectionNo=1530

What about dinner and a concert or show of some sort? Does he like music? Check out ticketmaster.

For our anniversary I got us a really nice hotel room with a jacuzzi tub. I went and got the room all ready (bubble bath stuff, champagne, strawberries etc.) and after dinner took him to the hotel. All a suprise! Very fun!

I'd go with memorabilia that's affordable. It's sentimental and marks a time just like your doing with your anniversary. Personaly if I was a sports or sci fi nut it's pretty cool to have part of your memories right at your touch.
Oh and don't forget something spicy to turn him on! Women always forget that a couple of years in dunno why?

a wide glide Harley Davidson would be nice and box set of movies that he likes the most. You could take a trip to Victoria Secrets and give him a surprize.

Isn't the 2nd anniversary prezzie meant to be paper or wood or something. The british tradition anyway is a different material for every year, eg cotton, porcelain, gold, diamond but I can never remember which is for which year!!

ok ill tell u this im in the same situation u are about the 2 yr anniversary thing let me tell u something i know that this sounds inpersonal but guys really do want gift cards! i would look into his favorite store ... electronocs, books...ect... put the card in a nicely wrapped gift card and attach his favorite cologne with a card that says something touching in it. it shows that u care enough to get him exactly what he wants yet u know him personally enough to get him something he loves.... he will love this idea.

He would like a soccer ball.
And a six-pack of Guinness, a whole pile of crackers, a platter of good cheeses, some salami & sausages, etc, some Major Gray's chutney, some olives, and some radishes, mustard, piccalilly, etc.... don't forget to sit down and share it all with him.... he would like that!
