Divorced was signed by the judge in Idaho on the 4th. I was married in Utah on the 5th. Divorced was filed with Idaho Clerk of Court on the 7th. Apears to be some question as to the legality of the marriage.

In the state of Missouri, as soon as that judge signs the decree, it is a done deal. Recording is just "getting it on record". It's not unusual, depending on the judge, for some documents lie on their desks until they decide they have time to sign it. Once they sign, it's effective.

Check at your county seat at the courthouse (whatever division handles divorces), and ask, but I'm thinking you'll find it's law when it's signed by the judge.

Good luck!

What is the date on your copy of the finalized decree. I would say you might want to remarry just to be on the safe side.
