The judge will make the determination and you will receive a copy of the divorce decree.

If you don't show up then the divorce is still granted and the other person gets pretty much whatever they want.

You don't show up, you then have automatically entered a decree of default and the judge will rule in favor of whatever the other party wants. Then you receive the judgement in the mail.

If you don't show up for the hearing, the other party can pretty much get whatever they want from you and you then have to go to court to get anything you want back. If you have no house, no car, no children, nothing in this world whatsoever, perhaps you don't have to go but if you have anything of value to you, be prepared to lose it if the other person wants it unless you are there to defend yourself and your property.

Go to a lawyer and file for one. If you can find a no contest lawyer and you and your spouse agree on things, it will go fast with no judges ( my lawyer did all that). You then do a waiting period and boom that is it. If you guys are gonna fight it will take a bit longer. And if the one that doesn't sign I think they can do a force divorce.

unless its gonna be uncontested, i'd show up... By not showing, you'll probably lose anything you were hoping for monetarily/materialistic out of the marriage.
