it common for a man to cheat on his pregnant gf/wife?

2007-10-18 04:20:26 · 37 answers · asked by Anonymous

My fiance did. It was casual although it turned out she didn't know it was casual. I didn't care that I was 'stealing' her boyfriend. In fact, I found it amusing when she didn't clue in that a two month relationship (what they had) wasn't serious just because they were sleeping together. I was some what involved with someone else too. I'm sure I'm not the only one who 'stole' their love, so anyone else?

My husband lies to me, it's never anything really huge, but it is affecting my trust. He says that his ex calls him to go out for a beer, but he called her...little things like this, he started a fake email address, when I asked, he lied. I catch him and then he tells me truth (I think). I don't think that I can trust him anymore, I'm losing respect for him, and it's like I am waiting for him to screw up again. When someone lies about the little things, is that warning signals for the future? We've only been married 2 years, no kids.

My husband and I have been happily married for over 21 years, but my mother-in-law truly hates me.

Believe me, I have tried and tried, but this woman truly hates me with a vengeance and has never made a secret of her feelings and unfortunately, her behavior hurts my husband more than me.

Sadly, she is very ill now at 87 years old, and in her final days.

I go to the hospital with my husband, but I stay in the waiting area, and that causes problems with my husband's family, even though they know about their mother's hatred towards me.

My husband has always supported me and we've thrived and survived through so much turmoil.

I don't know what to do.

I would like to say farewell to her but I don't think she would like to see me in her final hours.

What would you do?

I would think when a person is dying that they would set aside hate, but I don't think that she has and I am fearful of seeing her now because I do not want to upset her further.

What would you do?

I have full custody of my daughter. The court visitation schedule says my ex is supposed to pick her up every two weeks on Fridays at 1800. He doesn't want to get her until Saturdays at 0900, which I have allowed for her benefit. My daughter now wants to participate in cheerleading from 0900-1000 on Saturday mornings. Her father refuses to support that and says he will be there to get her at 0900 and will call the police if she's not there. My daughter says she doesn't want to go with him if he won't come later. She sees how unfair he is and how he uses her to get back at me for leaving him. She's 8, but she's not blind or stupid. I feel like it should be up to her in this case. She doesn't do a lot of extra activities and I think parents should be supportive of their kids. What should I do? Do I tell her she can't participate in the activity and she has to go with her dad, or do I tell her to make the decision about what she wants to do this time?

Very married and very interested in me, Came on strong, I was very flattered and flirted back but just a bit cuz also married, going on for some time, saw him out with his wife and me with my husband, ignored each other, time went on same, now the spark is out of his eyes and he almost hides from me. When he talks to me he makes sure he mentions his wife and kids, well thats great. I know its a good thing cuz maybe turned into something, but just curious what the hell is he doing now? He's the one who used to do everything to get my attention , even told me he wanted to take me out of town (kidding of course), but still I thought it was a real forward gesture. Why is he acting this way? Now I almost feel like a fool around him and it was NEVER me it was HIM!!!!!!!

before my husband went out of the country to work, his family don't even care about us.But since my husband went out to work, his brother, mother and sister keeps on asking money from us (always in thousands). There is always conspiracy, story and drama between the three of them everytime they will ask money from us so that my husband will give in to their request which results to our fighting..coz i feel that they are abusing us already. We already gave capital for the brother to have business many times but nothing happens. He's the laziest person i've ever seen..he and his wife doesn't have work.they have all the (invalid) reasons for not working.they just depend on his mother and from us.how can i make my husband realized this situation?his family is taking advantage of us.he told me that he will not tell me anymore if he will give money to his family so that we will not fight.is it right?he's just tolerating his brother's laziness.pls. help.

I have been with my boyfriend for 2 years and he endup up getting one of his best friends pregnant, right before we met. They have known each other since 1994, they went to highschool together in Maryland, he now lives in Philadelphia. Do you think its normal for them to love each other. She sometimes sends him text messages saying "I luv u", "I miss u" or "we love u" (meaning her and their son). I don't know what to think. He tells me that, of course he loves her, they are best friends. What do i do?

She filed for a simple divorce and she did not want any money. She can get a half of matrimonial home but she didn’t want it for now (she can claim it up to 2 years after divorce) I had 30 days to disagree and file an answer with the court. On 29th days I went to the court and I checked the court copy and I was shocked:
On the court copy she mentioned the reason for filing the divorce: Abuse and control
On the copy she gave me she mentioned: irreconcilable differences

I could easily get a lawyer and accuse her to fraud but I did not, I am not a fighter. I called her and told her what I saw, she said: I made a mistake; I gave the wrong copy to the court. I asked her to show me the Original. She said: we will go to the court together tomorrow and fix it. Next morning I asked her what time we will meet in the court she became angry and screamed at me: I am not self employed like you! I have to go to work and then ask my manager and come, I will give you a call. After 2 hours, I called her at work and realized she never went to her office that morning! She went to the court from home and asked the court clerk to switch the papers!
I talked to the clerk in the court later and she said she made a mistake and she should have checked the documents more carefully…

It is about a month that she wants to find an apartment but she procrastinates. She has a good job (she has a master degree) and can afford moving to another place. She is a control freak, do not trust me and does not believe in family counseling! We went to a counselor and she calls her a shrink and after 2 sessions she refused to come. She told me she is making the situation worst. She has called her and threatened the doctor that leave 2 of us alone (controlling issues).I saw some notes that she is writing for the counselor: her conditions to continue this marriage! I was living in hell for a year and a half and now she want to add more conditions. After all these, she still wants to come back! When she gets angry, she says bad things about my family…

What is the best way to get this woman out of my life? I do not want to fight. I think there should be a way to ask her to leave the house and after that tell her that it is better that we proceed with the divorce file.

I have my ideas (been married for 11 years) but what are your three most important elements to make a lasting marriage successful?

2007-10-18 03:23:55 · 22 answers · asked by theCATALYST 5

Me and my bf have been together for 11 months now. His ex-wife told him to get out last year so he left the marital home and his 3 kids although they live just down the road from where he is living now.
She likes to try and cause problems re the whole me, him and his kids. often she won't allow him to see his kids if she suspects i will be there even though i get on very well with all of them.
In december we are planning a trip to see his parents and family who live in scotland which is a long way from where we live now ( we don't live together as yet) and he plans to take his kids with him so they can see there grandparents whom they don't see very often.
So, bearing in mind we have now been together for 11 months and the fact she didn't want him anyway, does she continue to try and control him through his kids?
She says that they don't want me to go when we both now that its probably her not wanting me to go.

I'm just wondering how long this is going to last for?!

Ok yes, I know an open marriage doesn't work for everyone, but it works for me and my husband. I have a male friend (That is also in an open relationship) that is very close to both of us, and I am very attracted to him. My husband knows and is ok with it. My problem is that my friend has stood me up 4 times and he say's that he really wants to make things happens. Do I give him another change or do I cut my loses? Yes there are feelings between us, but I don't want to waste my time if it will never work out... What do you think?

Is anyone engaged in a religious marriage, but not a secular marriage? It seems that for many older heterosexual couples, that a religious marriage for emotional reasons, but just living together for secular reasons would be a very good arrangement. You would have the emotional bonding, but not have to "mix your money and assets". What do you think?

He talks with her and about her alot. Yet, on the other hand he IS telling me these things. He even tells me that people at his work "sarcastically" call her his girlfriend. I visited the office one day and she was very nice, but would hardly even look at me. When she was talking, even to me, it was him she was looking at.

I forwarded him a funny email which he forwarded to other guys at work, but when he forwarded it to her he removed my heading and stuff, making it look like he just forwarded it to her (sans my name on it). Yet, he told me this.

I do not think he is "cheating" since he is very dutifully home on time, and even is in his office at lunch. But he does tell me how she says that she and he should go on a business trip together. (He told me this, laughing saying 'yeah right!') She is an office flirt who uses her charms to get her way (according to him), but I fear she is using her charms on my husband (who would be very very flattered by this).
cont.....
