I don't understand..My ex husband (before we got married) encouraged me to have a career etc..but when we said "I do" He changed and wanted me to be at home....

Why does it seem that men want a career woman type to be a housewife after marriage?? Is it a challenge to change her or something..or an ego boost????

Wat is this ? My ex, who I love very much, has this other guy, inwhich she has left me for....well, she broke up with me(stress), and met another guy. Off and on she and I have been seeing eachother, then finally broke up about a month ago. She's still with this guy, and she NOW calls him her boyfriend!!!! Anyway, my ex knows how I feel about her. She know that I love her very much, and that I havent gotten over her. Even though Ive made my share of mistakes, I love her. She has called the cops on about 2-3times, because she wanted me to leave her alone.....now about 4 days ago I send her a boucet of roses with a poem, a letter, and a CD with certain songs. Her "boyfriend" obviously didnt like the idea, but she did....anyway, she and I are now and have been for 4 days seeing eachother secretly. We spend time together, secretly, and have sex. But yet she wants to be with this other guy. She knows my intentions. But she says she still loves me. HELP please!!! wat going on????

when you are trying to give him space to get through a rough time. but there comes a point where it is disrespectful when he's not contacting you...agree?
It's been 5 days!
(we've been dating for 4 months...he is at the end of his divorce process and claims to be completley stressed out and unhappy bc she is trying to take him for everything)
I know this is "singles and dating" but i put it in here bc i wanted more mature answers than that of a bunch of 15 year olds...

As life goes on, the guys who don't/can't commit to good women- feeling bad or not feeling bad, cheating, lying, playing..

what is the best, middle, and worst case scenario? What is what typically happens? I'm just curious how these things follow a person or do they often straighten up just enough?

My wife swears that I have learned to tune out her voice (at a certain pitch) completely. I say it's because she's mumbling and I can't be bothered trying to puzzle together what she's communicating, so I wait until she's more exact and gets to the point (she's usually upset by then).

Seriously, do you think men start completely tuning out (versus ignoring) the voice of the woman in their life at a certain time in the realtionship?

What's your experience?

I know my uncle thinks my aunt is a natural blonde to this day. I don't know if this has fallen out of fashion. Same thing with the age thing.

He responed" I like what i see too, write back when you can spare a little time''. I was floored and so damn mad and very hurt , but i asked for right? We were planning to get married soon also, What should I do ? Tell him its me or keep pretending to see how far he would take it? it's never that simple is it. I'm a church girl, yep and a good one too but i have def. found my thorn in my flesh and it's love, attention, affection and sex. I have three kids, i stay at home. I have a great husband with a great job. we've had our prob. but nothing out of the ordinary. He's a cpa so from jan-april 15th we do not see each other until after 9/10 pm. I can't take it i need more. that's how i met my lover. we were just friends that feel in love, ironically i work on him with his realtionship with God as well. We don't want to be in love but it hurts so bad to talk about breaking it off. I"m tired of being second to everyone, to his wife and to m y husbands Job. I want to work on my issues with my husband and grow old with him. we are already in couns. and taking a marriage class, we've been married 10 years. I love this other man so much it hurts. How do i fall out of love with the other man with out hurting. Prayer is my number one answer any other advice of how?

I never got attention from men when I was younger. I was very shy. I got married at age 22 and I am now 37. One guy starting paying attention to me about a year ago. I came out of my shell and am not shy anymore. Is it wrong to enjoy him paying attention to me or am I just normal. Also I notice myself being more social and getting noticed more by others.

Anyone else share my pain? I made a 1/2 sheet cake..spent about three hours making this beautiful decorated cake from scratch. It wasn't for any special occassion but it was for us. I just went in there so the kids can have piece after they just ate and the entire center of the cake was cut out and gone!!!

He fully admits to it but the stranger thing is..I've been home with him all day and he wasn't alone at all...How and when did he pull this off?

...and is eating the center of the cake grounds for divorce!

my ex while we were still married took out a loan against a house I signed over to her,but it shows that the loan was in my name also but I never signed anything on that loan. Then later she sells the house and not only do I not get anything from the house, she doesnt claim any of the money she made on the house as income. Is that legal?

She said I had to call her to tell her what I'm doing. This seems like asking permission to me, but I tried it. Every time I do it, she gets very bitchy - I get the silent treatment when I get home.

So, I don;t really see the point in calling - it doesn;t help. Any suggestions?

i met my husband five years ago, when he ws a drug user! he got off the drugs and we travelled Australia together! We got married three months ago! But now, all he is interested in is when he can next get to the pub, he doesn't want to do anything else, and every time we spend time together, he whinges about how boring it is! the other night i took him to the pub, so that we could go together, but he just wanted to go home, and tonight he is going to a party, and i'm not invited! i feel totally neglected, i talked to him about it, and he said that he doesn't want me there because he knows i dont like pubs, but he doesnt want to do anything else either! i know he isn't back on the drugs, and there is no other girl! we live in a small town and people say he just has a good time when he's out! but why won't he have a good time with me? I'm considering divorse, is there any other way to fix this problem? please help me to save my marraige!

We live together, and there's a good chance we'll get married. I don't know how I'm going to deal with this woman, who will be around for quite awhile since they have a child.

The expectations she has are just too much. Right now she's enraged that I'm getting his domestic partner health benefits. She wants it, even though that wouldn't even be legal. She expects him to share his child care benefits so she can have day care during her week, even though she doesn't work. She wants us to fire our nanny and pay her to watch her own son when my bf is working and daycare isn't open. She doesn't work. Has a trust fund, but it runs out in 9 months and I'm worried her demands will get even worse then. She is bi-polar and claims she is incapable of keeping a job, but she usually quits herself when she does get one. She's started sending him nasty text messages about me, and he's getting really stressed out. Anyone have any ideas on how to deal with a person like this?

this Q follows on from my previous one about me telling our mutual friend about our relationship problems.

i came clean with him and told him that I have been talking to her and I told her all our problems.

I lied at first saying no I didn't tell her.

I lied because I fear his bad temper and needed to buy myself time to "brace" for the persecution I was going to get. For 3 days he asked "have you told her anything?" I say no. Last night i worked up the courage to tell him I had, knowing to be honest was best.

According to him I'm the most vindictive evil B**** ever. He thinks i just want to turn people against him. he doesnt' get that women need to share their problems with friends, that's not a good enough excuse.

so he's angry that I've ruined his friendship with her and cos i lied about saying i spoke to her. he says we are finished cos of this.

this is the 1st wrong thing i've done and he's blown it out of proportion. hasn't he?
