Marriage & Divorce - 11 April 2007

In the process of reconciliation you identify that your lack of trust in your wife hurt the marriage. You make a commitment to work on it and ask her in return to be honest. Next thing, she is lying again and you remember her that her lying hurt your ability to trust her. She becames defensive and treathens to abandon the reconciliation efforts and to leave if you insist in this cause-effect thinking (lying being the cause, dimished trust being the effect). What are your choices?

But I still find myself hurt and depressed sometimes and having a really hard time moving on. We decided to remain friends but don't have all that much contact due to me getting upset if I see him. I don't date .. well I don't know how to get out there really . I just always find myself thinking of him some days I even just sit and cry ... HELP

My husband and I have been together since high school it'll be 15 yrs this month...we just got married last May. We have a daughter. He ignores us half the time and when he does something w/ or for us he throws it in my face almost everytime. Last night I was in the E.R. for chest pain and left arm numbness..(im OK its heartburn!!!) Anyway he was MAD because he had to drive to the hospital that is closer to my job, since I went from work it is 25 minutes away from home, I am so hurt and angry! To make things worse he brought his brother along to drive my car home, and apparently It was an issue for his wife, got into it w/ his wife today and my husbands brother called me and isulted me with really BAD words, now I am no saint I let him have it, but my question is WHY did my husband allow it? I am not asking him to fight the guy, I just feel alone! My husband swears that he told him not to come around our house anymore, but I am NOT happy, this is a family that I have always helped

I'm a mother of 2 boys. I'm 24.

I was told I am "used", "abused", and insecure. No guy would ever want me because of those factors.

My "husband" told me that during an arguement. I feel depressed still very depressed and disgusted with myself... it's been a week or so since but I can't get it out of my head.

Advice?

I am a bengali girl and am recently married. I live in a joint family with my in-laws. Our house has just 1 bedroom and my sister-in-law (she is 15) sleeps in our room (on the floor) and we have to adjust her at night.

I keep worrying that our intimacy and noise will wake her up and she will see me and my husband in a compromising state.
I keep telling this to my husband but doesnot care. He says that she will not 'look' and is a child. She wont understand what we are doing, she is sleeping etc...Many times he tells her to "go to sleep early" and then gets intimate with me after half hour (I am not sure if she asleep or not).

But many times in the last week, she keeps asking questions which are uncomfortable for me and which make me feel she has seen us.

What do i do? We cant afford another house or make her leave? Help with suggestions

My husband wants to get my name tatooed on himself. I have heard from different people "thats bad luck" or "everyone I know who gets thier spouses name tatooed, end up spliting up". Has this been a myth, has anyone else heard of this?

The couple has been separated for nearly 3 years. The finances regarding their two children was agreed upon when they separated. On average, how long does it take to finalize a divorce once the husband or wife initiates contact with a lawyer?

Thanks!

Yes; I realize i'm a guy, and guys have the stereotype of being afraid of marriage. I'm going out with someone now for 2 years. We are working in similar fields, but not at the same company. I'm 28, an Attorney & a CPA, still have $63,000 in student loans & $600,000 loan for my house. I'm quite financially independent, but think marriage would be a risky move right now, while i'm still getting started. I really love my girlfriend, but I know she's also getting testy, waiting for me to propose and take things to the next level. I just don't know. What if we're not financially compatible? (Different spending/saving habits) What if she starts to hate the fact that I make more money than she does? What if she has a problem investing in Real Estate to secure a better future for us and out family? What if I really am too young to get married? I know it's mean to say, but there are alot of other women who I reject all the time, do married men ever have such regrets later on in life? Women???

Okay...my wife travels a lot for her sales job. Our sex life is nonexistent. Once in a while I call an escort girl and go see her at a motel. Last week I called one and went to go meet her. It was my 19 year old daughter! I thought she was at college. We both freaked out and I left. I haven't spoken to her since and my wife came back and wants to know what's wrong between her and me. I am a loving husband who just "needs some love back now and again" and I've raised my family in the most conservative, wholesome christian manner possible. How is it that my daughter has become a hooker???

So my family is very old fashioned and they are strong believers in graduating college 1st, then getting married 2nd, and having children last. Well I have one year left in college and no kids but my boyfriend of 4 years and I just want to be married. He's a full time blue collar worker and a home owner so he is very capable of supporting me while I'm in school. I'm 22 and he is 25 so we're old enough to be married. To save money and not ask for help, we want to get married on a cruise ship this August, but I know my family won't approve so any suggestions on how I should approach this?

I want children, but I am not sure if my hubby really wants them. A male co-worker stated that we (my hubby and I) are not ready for children because we have 3 dogs and fixed our backyard to cater to the dogs.

My wife and I agreed to have a good friend of mine join us for what we thought would be an innocent encounter. My wife and I had mentioned doing this in the past, but in a jokinly matter. I never thought it would happen until it did last Monday after we had a few white wines too many. I would not recommend doing this to anyone. My feelings have been all over and up and down. When my wife gives me oral pleasure she never "finishes" and spits it out. I never gave it any thought and just thought that she does not like the taste or that it is gross. But on Monday as she gave my friend oral pleasure and he ejaculated in her mouth she did not spit it out. After, when I asked her about it and told her how hurt I was by this, she told me that she was worried about what HE would think,.. if she did not swallow his semen. I have been thinking about this a lot, and wonder if I should leave her or should I try and sort things out?

Thanks

I live in Pa and my husband of 3 years just picked up and left us (his 2 kids and 1 baby due in nov) If I file for a divorse and get a layer, can he be the one finacially responcible for it b/c its an at fault divorse. He was the only one in the marriage to ever provide income, except 2 years ago when I had a weekend job, just for fun. He has always been the "bread winner" of the relationship, but now that he has done this (he left with another woman) I feel I need a layer, but have no finacial ability to get one, how do I hire a layer that he would be responcible for?

I have asked this similar question before: Yesterday was 1 year since my ex and I split up: I orginally thought it was both of our falut but the more I play it over in my mind i realize it was more him than me. Now don't get me wrong I was not perfect. He has already re-married, but the woman he married he bad mouthed to my sister about her wieght and bratty children, he wasn't very good with the one child we had together or his nehews. I am trying to move on with my life...but its almost like I can't move on until he apologizes for the way he treated me and I know not to hold my breath. How do you move on after a divorce? I have to get on with my life. Help Please and how did he get on so quickly?

I've been with a girl for 4 years, and recently she's been trying to get help by him to get a job, not working with him, just the same company. Well they used to like each other many years ago when we were all friends, actually I met her through him. Well we had a falling out and now I don't like him. Well she had been hiding text messages, emails and calls from me.

When I ask if something is going on she denies anything. However, I'll ask her, "What if he liked you, what would you do?" and then she says "He doesn't so its not an issue" and I'll ask her again, "Well just say he did like you, even if he doesn't, if you find out he did like you, what would you do?" And she'll say. "He doesn't!"

Well to make matters worse I told her about the time he got jealous and had bad mouthed her, telling her that he called her "ugly" many years ago. She seemed offended and hurt.

Anyway... do you think there's something going on?

My wife has taken this mutual separation very poorly and my kids now hate me.She has taken a restraining order to prevent me visiting or contacting my boys.I have not done anything to justify this and have objected to the grounds in court .My lawyer has sent letters and we get no reply so far.People tell me to wait, but after 2 months of no 1-1 contact I am having trouble coping. The restraining order I have left in place to protect myself and possessions ,but it doesn't help with seeing my boys.I have sort help early in the piece to check on the kids welfare and pleaded from the start for the kids to not be brought into any arguments or property disputes. This has not been the case and all I'm told is the court will sort this out but when ???
