Marriage & Divorce - 30 November 2006

Recently I have been confronted with a problem my wife had with me talking to another girl. Now where we live we have no friends. I had a friend from high school look me up and start talking to me. Granted we had long conversations but nothing out of the ordinary catching up on friends we had lost and made, what they were doing now and so on so on. My wife works for a big company and goes out with her friends, some guys some girls quite frequently; some time over night. She spends time at lunch. When I met her; guy's were the only people she hung out with and talked to. She even chose them over me a couple of times. I find it difficult to believe that a conversation can be compared to cheating when they are 2500 miles away.

i just turned 23, i have a permanent job in a finance-related job in UK. I have good education (upto Masters Degree) I am getting married next month. I am not mega rich, but I have enough money for things in life. I have a good to house to stay in. (rent) I have lived in quite a few places- India, Germany & UK & different places within India & UK. I am just entering marriage & I have been working now since15 months, but I have taken these commitments (proper job & marriage) early as compared to other people.

However, I have had very few friends in life. In fact, I have no friend now. I have had a rough past, at times suffering extreme depression & loneliness. I am an ex-alcoholic & alcohol has made me lose many things in the past including myself & a woman who I truly loved. I have been very & at times extremely unhappy ever since I was 10 for various reasons. Now I am quite happy whether I will be really be happy depends on my upcoming marriage. Am I a success or failure in life?

I had sex with my wife while she was horribly drunk, which she considered abusive. She asked me how I would feel if it were my daughter treated this way. Note, our marriage is in trouble, but she is sober now, although we have stopped having sex entirely for a long while now, and she clearly holds this against me.

I AM IN HIGHSHCOOL AND MY BF WANTS TO GET MARRIED WHEN I GRADUATE IN ONLY HAV 2 MORE YEARS LEFT! My first love and i ran into each other after almost 10 years.We met when i was 16 years old and this shy, insecure, slightly snobby, and prepie looking class girl.He was the bad boy, with smart *** mouth, and a loner who lived in a tralier park.My parents thought he was white trash and hated him but even though we hated each other in the begining we fell in love hard and we dated almost 4 years.We split for dumb reasons mainly conserned with pride on both sides.I dated around after that for a while before meeting my husband of 3 yrs now who i am misreable with and lonley even though he gives me anything i want.Seeing him makes me remeber how happy i was when i felt loved, safe, protected, respected, and could talk to him .He ended up getting a scholar ship and going to college he is now an entreprenneur.We have had coffee/lunch three times am i torturing myself?

I have been with my guy for 2 years. He says that he knows that I am the one for him and that he does want to marry me 'someday'. I moved across the country to be with him(his job) and now we are moving to another state because his job is transfering him again. I would never want to marry him if he wasn't ready, but I am confused as to why he says he wants to, but just not 'yet'. If he really wants to marry me, why would he want to put it off?

I have a good guy friend (not my bf) who is having a very hard time in his marriage. He seeks me out for a listening ear and occasional advice. His wife has been having an affair with her former high school sweetheart since last Feb. They were still together trying to work it out until October, then he moved out. She is still seeing the bf, and my friend has paid a retainer to an attorney. However, the wife is now telling him to hold off on filing because she doesn't know what she wants. This really has my friend messed up. In the mean time, he has started to see another friend of ours who he is developing a real interest, and this friend is a really great person. I don't know what to tell him anymore. I really feel like he needs to follow his head and not his heart, because he does still have feelings for the wife and they do have a son together. She has gone back and forth so much that I think she is just throwing my friend a bone to keep him around. What do you think?

My husband an i have been married for 8 years. I had 2 kids when we met, then he and I had another. He had some bad things happen to him as a child from an older step brother. He is a wonderful man to me. He says he doesnt believe in cheating..he treats me like a queen, he just doesnt ever want to have sex. We did alot when we were dating, and after we got married. But 7 years ago, it just stopped. I wrote about this 3 mths ago, and its gotten worse. He refuses counseling, docs etc. He has initiated mayB 6 times in 7 yrs. He usually says he is to tired when I try. We only have sex maybe 3 to 6 times a year. Now, He says he wants to work on the marriage, but insists i dont initiate. And he gets angry and Yells, and says "I DONT KNOW", when I ask why he has rejected me. I went back to Peru before my US divorce was finalized (November), and married another person in August, thinking that the US marriage was finalized. Is my marriage to the second person in Peru valid? I am divorcing in Peru now anyway, would I have to go through the divorce process in Peru, or is the marriage just not valid?

My husband has an email acct that was set up and never used, at least not to my knowledge. I knew it was set up a long time ago but forgot all about the darn thing until I went to log on to my hotmail yesterday and the email address was already in the box. I was like oh yeah, hey I remember this address. I was like hey whats the password, and he told me. I was going to send a funny email to his normal acct. Well when I log in, there is only one email address in his contact list and it was to this girl, supposedly she is a friend from high school. No big deal right? But he has her email in his regular acct. I asked him how often he checked this "new acct" he said he checks in it once in awhile and hadn't in a long time. If I remember correctly, you have to ck it at least every 30 days or it locks you out. When I pursued the conversation, he said he only used it to email her b/c he didn't want me to get mad that he was talking to her. What do you think?

My wife through the week she a good wife and a good mother. I've tried to make her happy but since she went to a bar (which I didn't know she was going to until after it happend) and she changed. She went the first week and I didn't mind as much because I thought maybe it was a one time thing. Well the next weekend she went back out with her same friends and she says her friends left her there at the bar by herself. She ended up riding with a guy she went to school with and she ended up passing out in his car. She said the next thing she remember was being carried from the hood of his car back to the seat that she passed out in. She never told me about this until the next day I asked her about it because she left our house in one pair of close and came back with another set of cloths with was a short skirt and she bought some thongs. She tells me that he just done this and she didnt' know but later she told me that she remembers parts of what happened. After this she is still going out

Hi. I'm newly married (8 months) I have a big problem.
My husband annoys me. Really.
Everytime he eats there is a mess everywhere.
He has bad gas and just lets it out like a pig
when he shaves there is beard crap everywhere
ect.... he is just generally disgusting

Is it wrong of me to feel so annoyed? Should I just happily and silently pick up all of his messes the rest of my life?
Is there a way around it besides my constant nagging? Please help.

My family has always been close and recently i moved about an hour away from them. My husband hates that i go visit them once every two weeks. He thinks that they are a bunch of no good loosers. We're trying to have a baby and he said he don't want our kids to be a part of their world. How do i get him to understand that i need to be around my family and that i dont want my parents not to see their grandchildren?

I am required to provide insurance for the kids, and I do, she also carries secondary insurance on the kids, but mine is primary. I have to pay for any uninsured cost. My insurance covers 85%, and her insurance covers the rest, but she still wants me to pay the 15% to her directly. Is this allowed?

I have been married for 4 years now to a guy I met at church, I knew he had a mental illness before I married him but fell madly in love with him and over looked his illness. He also had drug and alcohol problems and this made things pretty bad to cope with. He became abusive when he was unwell and then when he was drunk as well I would run as I became so scared of him. 6 months after we were married he became unwell mentally and very insecure accusing me of cheating on him with my ex who is my sons father from a relationship some years earlier. I had never been unfaithful and left him ranting only to find he had burnt our house down and left me and my son with nothing. He was imprisoned for 12 months and has since been in 3 more times because he refuses to stop drinking and taking drugs which is breaking his parole and making me more scared of him. I recently met a guy who ive fallin in love but I chose to stay with my husband because I wanted to see if he will change this time.
