Bread maker machine is always nice. She'll probably use it at least 2 or 3 times. Go for the karat rock or maybe a global warming kit. Get the first season of House on DVD or the second season of Desperate Housewives would be just as nice. You might consider a latch hook rug making kit too. Make sure it isn't made from acrylic yarn tho because that might upset her and you wouldn't want that.

if your budget allows it, send her off for a nice long weekend at a nature or holistic spa in the mountains, where she can hike and/or participate in other physical activities and pamper herself a little. more realistically you can donate money to an environmental organization on her behalf, or make your own gift basket for her filled with organic and environmentally sound products she can enjoy. if you can pinpoint what her environmental issue/mission is that also might help you narrow down her interests. Hey, a day at a nice local spa isn't bad either!

if she goes out and does physical work for the environment, some clothes from banana republic would be good with a pair of really good boots. if she does stuff like petitions and protests then i would suggest t-shirts and sweaters made for the environmental issues that she supports and any supplies that she may need to do the work, maybe a laptop. sounds like a great lady you have there! good luck to both of you.tcbtoday1 has an excellent idea.

Buy her a membership in the Sierra Club? Buy her Al Gore's DVD and book? Plan a hiking/camping vacation? Buy her a gift basket of environmentally safe products? (You can order them online). You have a great wife so treat her well. We need more people like her in the world.

You can go to the various environmental sites and most, if not all, offer some type of "adoption" of an endangered species or products that are environmentally conscious (like shade grown coffee, etc.).
I'm sure she would be happy with any of the gifts they have to offer.

If I were your wife, I would love for the two of you to go on an environmental vacation where you actually work along with environmentalists. Pick your favorite cause and go for it!

At the Discovery Channel Store where I live you can buy a sponsorship for an endangered animal. You get a packet of information about the animals (I did a tiger) with pictures and names of indiviual ones you can choose from.
If you don't have a local Discovery Channel Store, they might sell them online.

There are places online that sell pieces of rain forest you can protect, or buy her a membership to the Sierra Club, Green Peace, or the World Wildlife Federation.
