I asked this question a little earlier, but I would like some more opinions...

I'm moving out of my house once I turn 18 this weekend...My parents are emotionally abusive and discourage me in everything I do.

I would like to bring basically almost all I won, clothes, music, books, old valuble dolls, etc...

But my parents said, if they bought it, they own it.
Others say the oposite..

which is true,
and what am I allowed to take...

Here is my problem i have a 19 year old stepdaughter that moved in with us two months ago. Heres the problem she works a part time job. I am trying to be a decent step mom i allow her to go out and have fun as long as her chores are done and she works. I talk to her about how important it is to go back to school and get a education.

Well yesterday she left early she didnt go to work again and she didnt come home or call at all. She's not from around here so i spent all morning trying to find out if she was ok . Her dad was a nervous wreck , She met some guy and stayed at his house all night.

Shes going to be twenty soon, i have little ones and this is not how i want my kids raised. Her mom is fed up with her too.

I think she might be on drugs or something. Please advise....

I have a three year old daughter and all her father does is go for months and ignore her like she doesnt exist. He also disrespects me and talks badly about me. I want to take him for child support because that is what should be done and why should he get away with not finacially helping but I want to know will they force me to let him see his child? His name is not on her birth certificate and he has never signed anything I do not want him to see his child not to be spiteful but simply because he ignores her every year and takes his hate to me out on her! I have tried so hard to get him to be part of her life however if the court makes him pay child support of course he will want to be hypocritical and want to see her then only because he is giving money for her. I dont want to neglect my daughter of a father but he isnt loving and I can always meet someone else but she needs the child support Will the courts force me to let him see her? Can I deny visitation somehow?

I'm moving out. My parents are emotionally abusive, so I need to get away. I am financially stable, but my parents say I cannot take anything unless "I" paid for it...

I want to know what I can take, such as, Clothes, awards, dolls, books, etc...

I've heard if they give it to you, its yours, but they say the opposite...

What can I have?

I'm betting myself that it wont go 1 month, as she just cant keep her mouth shut. She is not the Law, and she does not care. She never grew up, Her mother, Father spoiled her, and i hope her sister learns from that!

ive tolerated people all my life, especially my 2 brotherinlaws from hell, they put me down, theyr sarcastic, boss me around, are full of mean comments, and i always just ignore them with a smile on my face cos i dont want to see trouble brew in my family
the last few months ive been fighting back, and tonight i argued with one of them,
my sister pulled me aside and asked what the hell is wrong with me, and that i never used to get angry,
i told her i cant take it anymore and ill give it right back,
am i better off staying away from family gatherings to avoid these creeps, or should i just keep fighting back?
my family are starting to think im the bad guy now!

my parents used to fight very badly, banging things all over the place. thank god they divorced when i was 6. i'm now 19.

but i feel hate all the time (u can see my other question) and i found someone sharing the same feelings as me, its scary:
[quote]
i HATE them. my teachers suck. i HATE them too. my friends are all fake bcuz they ignore me, and ive been alienated at school by everyone. i HATE them all. i also HATE my church, cuz they always talk about love and jesus, but they dont know my suffering. animals are okay, tho. i think that my feelings are justified, do any of u think so too?
[quote/]

i love dogs. i wish i had a dog so at least i'd have one real friend. i hate my teachers because tho they know my problem, they arent too forgiving or helpful. i'v got bilateral hearing loss of more than 50% each ear.

My teenage grandson who is now 6ft + tall got into a fight with his step father. His mother can no longer deal with his attitude and has given him the boot. My x-wife is going thru rehab and cannot devote the time to his problems for very long so I was called in to help raise him.We r empty nesters and wife does not want to take a chance on the child getting into trouble while in our care. I feel the teen should have a stable environment away from the problems he encounters at home w/his mother (my daughter from a previous marriage). Come live with us at least for a little while, however, my wife must be very comfortable with the setup. We have had a tough time with our 2 children (now grown) and is once bitten twice shy. What can I do or say to help convince her that this is worth a try?...

I am now married for 2yrs. We are planning to have a baby soon. But during the first year of our marriage, my inlaws moved to our house as they are needing place to stay for a while. shared rents and bills for the couple of months then stopped as their second baby arrives and ask that my husband pays for it for the meantime. but now for a year, they dont give us any amount of money and so comfortable living with us now. Then my father inlaw moved to us and asks money to my husband for his daily expences. Days are getting worst, they dont help in cleaning my house, they dont pay bills and dont even share foods on the budget. Theyre acting like a complete guest in our house. I told my husband about it and said i can talk to them about my concerns and it leads to a huge fight, saying things against me(including my father inlaw). My husband got upset bout what they did, they apologized to me. But im not comfy wid them anymore, i dnt talk to them. How can i tell them to vacate my house?

My dad still works at a minimum wage job, but gets excellent benefits and social security. I do have a job myself but I find it hard to support me, my wife and children along with my parents. My dad is 75 and he says that he might not have enough money to live if he retires. I always insisted that he retire and I can help him out. As a child, you always want to return something to your parents. He claims that he wants to retire and does not work anymore. He feel that we would not have enough to survive. I feel kind of guilty that he is still working at 75 years old. Please help me cope with this feeling. Do you know anyone that works at 75 yrs old?

i have been with my boyfriend for almost 2 years and it has been wonderful. The first year he kept me private and away from his family. we both decided we were ready for his family to meet me. so i met them and they have been wonderful except for his mother. His dad died when he was 19 and he has taken the responsiblity role of being the father figure to his brothers which i respect alot. The only problem is is that his mother acts like she is married to him. We happen to share the same birthday and whatever he gets me she has to get equal or better or she is unhappy. If he spends time with me like private time she tells him she feels ignored and left out. If he takes me on vacation or to a concert he has to explain to her why she cant come along. It just gets frustrating because i feel like its not our relationship like its me him and his mom and i dont know how to deal with it she is starting to come between us by causing drama about random things. I honestly dont know what to do..

I am 17 years old and I am barely on my first boyfriend, I just lost my virginity and that's good according to most girls I know. I have never been to a party and just barely started going to the movies thanks to my boyfriend. When we go to the movies I have to bring a cell phone so my mom could keep in contact and I understand that but we see a early movie and when it's over my mom wants me right back home to stay for the rest of the day. I don't have a curfew but when ever I leave she wants me to come back right away. If I'm borded then I just have to deal with it because my mom accuses me of sneaking off to motels with my boyfriend when I do leave. I got a job and she wants 150 a month and she doesn't even have a job cause my dad works. She spends money on useless things and I think I shouldn't have to pay rent until 18. She wants to keep count of my money and every little thing I do. I'm I wrong to feel disapointed and unwanted. I'm 18 in 2 wks and ready to move.I'm not happy

I have business lunches practically every weekday. People sometimes tell me I'm always dressed up.
I'm a mostly wear 32 size waist chinos and dockers, sometimes I'm a 30 waist, but not usually.
Shirt sizes seem to vary more by brand because I have a lot of S and M size shirts, and they all fit great.

My mom and sisters have bought me for the last 5 years the same thing for my birthday, Christmas, and anytime they feel like it: SHIRTS.
But I never wear the shirts, they ALWAYS buy me XL size shirts. I keep telling them I'm an M. But they keep buying XL sizes.
They buy me Perry Ellis, Calvin Klein, Polo all the brands I wear. But I keep telling them I'm an M. I tell them everytime before my birthday or Christmas, I'M AN "M"!!

They are too big for me, I just don't wear them. I have my closet full of them, some with the tag still on. They are taking up too much space.

Should I just throw them away?

I've been in a relationship with my now fiance' for 3 years. He has a 16 year old daughter and I have a 14 year old daughter. We've been trying to "blend" families this whole time. He and I get along well. As a matter of fact, other than "putting out fires" regarding the kids, we have never had an argument of our own.
His child has quite a few issues she's had to deal with since about 8 years old (ie. mother leaving, sister leaving, allergic to everything, asthma, can't fit in socially at school, not doing well in school, behavior problems, etc.). I've tried to be understanding, but ignoring is something I'm finding hard to do. He says she's "acting out"; I say those "acts" need to be discussed and handled. He says she's been through enough. She never gets disciplined for detentions at school, being arrested, foul language, etc. My daughter doesn't understand why she gets disciplined for the same thing we overlook regarding his daughter. I'm ready to just give up on us.
