I'm moving out. My parents are emotionally abusive, so I need to get away. I am financially stable, but my parents say I cannot take anything unless "I" paid for it...
I want to know what I can take, such as, Clothes, awards, dolls, books, etc...
I've heard if they give it to you, its yours, but they say the opposite...
What can I have?

I agree... if they have given it to you, it should be yours. They may not allow you to take the furniture, though. That's fine. Do you really want a bunch of stuff that has their nasty vibe on it?
You can sleep incredibly well on an AeroBed and may actually prefer it. Hit BigLots and get the plastic drawer storage chests for your small clothes, and hang up everything else when you get your own place. In the meantime, shop the garage and estate sales in your area. You will be surprised at what you will be able to find very cheaply.
The family is the first obstacles for most people to overcome.
Congratulations on starting your new life.

If your parents doesn't love you, they would not give you anything.
They probably don't want you to leave, that's why they're saying that you can't take anything that you didn't pay for just to discourage you from moving.

You should take whatever is yours. Whatever you own. Once they give it to you it is yours they cant take it back. Just pack up everything and go. Trust me Iknow I moved out when I turned 18 and I took everything that was in my room. Good Luck!

who cares what u take just take it and run the **** out of your house and if they yell at u just leave them and get more things and leave again. when i moved i just took the things i need and they got mad at first but after they got over it. its up to u what u need to take. or if u want to be nice ask them nicely what can u take and if u want something that u cant get. just beg them 4 it or buy it with your own money.
i hope this helps u alot. and have fun moving. its very fun moving out of the parents house.

Everything that belongs to you and is in your room. If you have any problems getting your stuff out, you can have a cop come by and watch to make sure they don't interfere in your moving your belongings out. Good luck :)

A better question would be-what do you want to take along?
