i'm thinking of asking my mother-in-law to be in the delivery room for her grandchild. i dont have that great of a relationship with my own mom (verbally abusive, never ever got hugged or told i love you)... and I kind of want a woman in there who cares about me and who's done it before. would it be weird for me to say "you're welcome in the delivery room" ? or would most mothers in law gladly accept?

My eighteen year old cousin loves me a lot but I hate him. In the past he has done crazy things like drugs and suiside. Now he is moving here and I need to stay away from him. My mom and dad will not let him in the house. But when I go to my grandma's I'm afraid he will be there. I don't want to be around him cause I'm only twevle. How do I avoid him?

Ok, so I have this problem with my Fiancee's parents..My daughter is going to be a yr old tomorrow and i can count on 2 hands how many times they have seen her since she was born..They live 10 minutes away and make no effort what so ever, unless it involves going to dinner. The real big part that really bothers me is that they have 2 other grandchildren from my fiancee's brother and they make time to see them atleast once a week!! And they also only live 10 mins away..So why can't they make time for my daughter?? I don't want to be angry with them, but i can't help but to be :-[ What do you think is the reason they make time for some of their grandchildren but not ALL of them? Anyone have any ideas?

I'm a repair man here in New York the other day I was in the projects doing a job I was on the 5th floor. A five year old kid is sitting on the sofa watching tv he had and accident wet himself his mother who looks like she's 19 starts beating him with a wiffle ball bat right in front of me cause he wet the sofa.She undresses him right in front of me puts a pamper on him puts him the hallway then shuts the door. This kid is POUNDING ON THE DOOR crying begging her to let him back inside. I could hear other kids in the background outside laughing at him. Ten minutes later she lets him back in tells him I hope you learned your lesson. Now I'm not married or have any kids I try not to judge other people I never hit a girl before except for my sister when I was twelve then my farther hit me. I wanted to crack her in the face. I told my forman what happened just to cover my own ***. My job is to go in and do the job and get out I dont get involved unless my own personal safety is at risk.

My question is do I have the right to report this and my other question is what possible reason this lady had to stick this kid out in the hallway. What was she trying to prove by doing that? The question I been banging around in my head is if she can do this right in front of me imagine what would happen if I wasn’t there.

I called social services today and report what I saw that day. I didn’t give my name or job occupation. It’s out of my hands now if they decide to follow up on it that’s their job not mine. I thought you guys would want to know since I got great feedback from you all. Thanks.

Rod Stewarts new wife was born in 1971 while his daughter Kimberly was born in 1979. That's only an 8 year difference. I would hate that it's the thought of when I get older that if I am married my husband would leave me for a newer model.

i've been thinkin alot about running away from home..
i'm really tired of all of the bullshit that goes on in my family.. my grades have been going down cuz i haven't been able to think about what i'm doing becuz of all of the **** that is going on in my family..i've tried talking to them about how i feel.. & they either just ignore it or say "I don't care about your feelings!" each and every day my depression is getting worse... i cry for hours when i get home from school.. it feels like they are ripping out my heart.. i try so hard to do whats right yet i still get a whole bunch of **** from them...i talk on the phone to my bestie about everything thats been going on in my family.. she says that i need to get out of my house.. & i totally agree with her.. stayin in my house is slowly killing me on the inside.. so what should i do?
i've already tried talking to my parents about it & nothing seems to be getting solved..
any input will help alot.

Long story short I am having a baby. The man who I KNOW is the father is questioning things. That is understandable. My question is this when the baby comes do I have the legal right to give the child his last name or does he have to give permission? Thanks for taking the time to read this post. Peace

The other day i went out with a friend- she told me to be home by a certain time and i lost track of time COMPLETLEY and was like 3 hours late :S (eeeeek)
i knew id be in trouble and probably grounded but when i got home she yelled at me and spanked me with a paddle over the couch!! im 12 and the last time i was spanked was when i was like 8 :(
now every time i do anything wrong shes like- DO U REMEMBER WT HAPND THE OTHER DAY? picking up the paddle

When my husband and i were still dating, i made the mistake of cheating. Well i got pregnant! I had my beautiful daughter and he still continued to communicate with me. He's said he's accepted her and we got married. Here's the problem. Anytime i try and communicate with my daughter's father about our child my husband becomes livid. He accuses me of sleeping with her father and trust me that ain't happening. Will he ever get over the fact that i have to communicate with this man because of my child. To make things even worse my husband has a 6 year old already and i have no issues with his ex. I actually wish they could have a cordial relationship so that things could be less complicated. i am going to try to make a long story short...my mother passed away a year ago, I have 2 half brothers (we all have different fathers, no comments on that please) well, my mother was married to my stepfather for the last 18yrs and he is the father of my youngest brother. He supported us and put me through college and basically acted like a father, we are lucky to have him. Although he was very tough and dominate, he tried to force us into careers he thought we should go in, if we didn't do exactly what he wanted he would say things and act in a manner that made you feel like there was something wrong with you, even the music we listened to was criticzed so much that he would say i don't know how someone who listens to rap can go to church, as if to say if u listen to rap music u cannot possibly believe in god and be a good person, this is his mentality about everything. i am doing a project for my creative writing class and i am writing a story about the life of a girl in the 1700's. don't tell me to look it up on google trust me i've already tried. Me and my girl been together for almost 4 years, we love one another and also we already got 2 kids (they 1 one year apart). One thing about our relationship is we never have sex ever since she had my son. She had my son as vaginal section and the doctor did something that is not right to her. So now everytime we trying to have sex, shes pullings me out because shes hurting so bad and she told me its burns her inside. So I respect her and I told her go visit the other doctor and see whats wrong with her. She came back with the result and she says that she got an infection because of what the gyn did to her. Is not all about sex, but I think that in a relationship you gotta have sex in your life especially me. I love her and I don't wanna live her but I dont know what to do.

My brother is dating this girl that nobody in my family likes except my dad, my mom doesnt even really like her. She's rude, she makes nasty comments, put my brother down, talks to my mom however she wants then kisses her *** when she wants something. I used to like her now shes just a rude ***** that keeps pushing my brother to get married and its only been a year and a half. Hes changed for the worse, hes stingy and he doesnt care about anyone except her family. I know i cant pick who he dates, but he always dates trashy girls.What can i do besides tell the ***** off??

He was in Community College for 2 years and just transferred to a huge traditional University about 7 hours away. He's living in a dorm on the full meal plan. I asked him to call me at least once a week and he said he would. He doesn't. I've left a couple IM's and voice messages. I don't want to overdo it.

He is an only child.
We used to talk about everything. We had a terrific time visiting campuses and preparing for this transition to campus life. He went on and on and on about all is hopes and dreams and enthusiasm. I never felt so close to him than the month before he moved.

Now he is gone.....Nothing.

I am going through empty-nest syndrome, really bad. I miss him and would love to hear from him.

I know he is busy with all the excitiement, classes and changes that he must be going through. We've talked twice, very briefly. I caught him at bad times, plus he had a head-cold.

How can I get him to call me? How long to wait? How much space does he need?

See, my dad's never really "worked" in his ******* life.. my mom basically supports him.. and this has been going on ever since I was born, which was 18 years ago.. and it's just sad because my mom is a damn hard worker and we've gone through hell with my dad, [being a drug addict and abuser and such] so our lives have been screwed in many ways... we've been dirt poor all because of him.. all our money would be gone to him for drugs.. there's just alot he's done that is quite hard to forgive.. 4 of us 5 kids are all adults but we want to help our mom out with this problem that we've had for years.. we just no longer want him here with us.. we tell him to leave but just wont' .... and we feel if we ALL confront him at once, their will be physical confrontation and we dun want that....

is there any hope???

allow my boy-friend and I to move in together, into a 2 bedroom apartment. Any statistics that could help would be great.....such as the percentage of women living alone that get attacked, the level of happiness of a person alone, etc. THANKS!
