A lot of my family issued me with an untimatum because they didn't agree with me seeing my partner. He is 49 and I am 21.
And the family who couldn't accept that I was in love and happy after everything I had previously been through ( I was raped ) are not my family anymore.
Family support and stand by you.
So no, I wouldn't sacrifice anything for my family, because if they were true family they would make it so you didn't have to.
As for sacrifising life for your children, possibly. If they are babies or children then you should make the right decision by them. Once they are adults, they come under the family rule.
They have to accept what you want and not think of themselves.

I dont think so.You really should learn how to be independent. If you love someone or something, go for it! But it is not actually everytime thet you should sacrifice everything for your family. A family will always be a family and nothing can replace that but sometimes you have to make a decision ALONE as a person not as a family. It is not forever that you have a Family by your side. We seek their advice, Yes we do, but what about your advice? What about your Happiness??? Will you be happy? Family sometimes is not always everything.

FAMILY FIRST - family cannot be replaced - friends, jobs, and anything material CAN. That is just the way it is and always should be, no matter what, period.
You cannot, and will not, ALWAYS get along perfectly with anyone - family included - BUT, they are there and love you, regardless of the stupid things you can do. People who think that your family must always "back you up" regardless of your stupidity, are not seeing how stupid that thinking is - it is most likely THEY are the ones not seeing things clearly - NOT the family.

Depends on what you mean by sacrificing "everything" and "family". While my daughters would deserve that, I certainly wouldn't for my siblings/parents. And if I sacrifice "everything" then what will be there the next time something happens.
Life sucks, then you die. You had best be prepared.

You are not good for anyone else if you aren't good for yourself. Take care of your own needs first and you will be far better qualified to take care of others. I gave all of me to others and they abandoned me in the end. I am older and wiser but lonelier as well. I am responsible for teaching them selfish behaviors because I catered to theit every wish.

My family has and will always come before me. I would give my life for my family. I chose to be with my family and I give anything for them.
