I'm a repair man here in New York the other day I was in the projects doing a job I was on the 5th floor. A five year old kid is sitting on the sofa watching tv he had and accident wet himself his mother who looks like she's 19 starts beating him with a wiffle ball bat right in front of me cause he wet the sofa. She undresses him right in front of me puts a pamper on him puts him the hallway then shuts the door. This kid is POUNDING ON THE DOOR crying begging her to let him back inside. I could hear other kids in the background outside laughing at him. Ten minutes later she lets him back in tells him I hope you learned your lesson. Now I'm not married or have any kids I try not to judge other people I never hit a girl before except for my sister when I was twelve then my farther hit me. I wanted to crack her in the face. I told my forman what happened just to cover my own ***. My job is to go in and do the job and get out I dont get involved unless my own personal safety is at risk.

My question is do I have the right to report this and my other question is what possible reason this lady had to stick this kid out in the hallway. What was she trying to prove by doing that? The question I been banging around in my head is if she can do this right in front of me imagine what would happen if I wasn’t there.

I called social services today and report what I saw that day. I didn’t give my name or job occupation. It’s out of my hands now if they decide to follow up on it that’s their job not mine. I thought you guys would want to know since I got great feedback from you all. Thanks.

It's so sad and it good that you did report this. Too many times people look the other way and do nothing. A child can only get help when an adult sticks up for them. I'm glad their are some people out there that care enough to report abuse.

That is awful! I have to kids of my own and just went through a still birth..Someone explain to me why I can't have a healthy child, yet some women like that beats hers...I am so frustrated..If you can't handle your kids or being a parent there are alternatives!

You did right by calling social services..I hope that they do check this out! Next time call the cops!

some parents just dont care how they mistreat or punish their kids, i've seen worse, i was on the bus and this mom had this little 3 to 5 year old boy, he sat near the window, and you know how sometimes kids have those tiny litte attitudes like they know everything, (he may have just been rambling like normal kids do) next thing i knew the mother poked his forehead and he jerked back, then she slapped him across the forehead with the back of her hand, the whole bus was looking at her.

some people just dont care. people should keep their legs closed if they can't properly take care of children, its not their fault their in this world

See the whole thing is, how would she know how to be a good parent if she is only 19 or so, this child is 5 or even less....... how old was the girl when she had him......... how sad..........I'm glad you reported it tho..............
She needs parenting classes and anger management........ kids having kids.......... they think that baby is just going to love them no matter what , then they find out that being a parent is more than cuddles and hugs

Damn straight its child abuse. You did well to report it. You could have called the cops too, as she actually struck him with a bat - even if it was a wiffle bat.
You don't have the right to report abuse - you have the OBLIGATION to do so.....
